As an organist, I would be absolutely terrified to play in St. Thomas. It would be like the performance exam from Hell. lol

What a magnificent performance of Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in A minor, Sebastian. I was greatly impressed with your playing, technique, interpretation and musical ability.
I trust you will continue to place on RUclips further performances of you playing the organ to enable others to appreciate not only what you can do as an organist, but introduce to a wide, young audience the wonder, joy, and happiness that organ music can bring, particularly when played by one with your ability and insight. Through you others may be encouraged to learn a musical instrument, particularly the organ.

Bach's ability to improvise with themes, is nothing short of legendary and magnificent. He is the Kingpin of classical music.

Sebastian, why is it so difficult for most organists to conclude the last chord as the composer wanted it, the way you played it?

Very good. Only one problem: it's way too fast.
What's the rush? You should savor those sounds.
Here is what I think is the best performance of this fugue. Albert Schweitzer.

An interesting rendition of this magnificent piece. However, the sound sucks. And the best version ever? Not by a long shot! The organist is no match for Nicholas Danby, at least in this work. The best aspect of this performance is the tempo of the fugue, although it might be just a bit too fast.
