Maria Grinberg was an amazing human being, in addition to being a brilliant pianist. Both her husband and her father were executed by the Stalinist regime in the 1930s as enemies of the state - likely because they were practicing Jews. How she rebounded from this horrific experience and performed magically at the piano is incomprehensible. It is a privilege to listen to her recordings. Thank you for sharing.

Maria Grinberg shows us the significant advantage of the piano compared to the harpsichord: colour and sonority. Amazing pianist!
