That's because during that era, anyone from the ODI team could walk in to their national test team as well. They were playing proper cricket unlike today's half cricketers.
@@thushanthalokusooriya4645 that was also before the unchecked proliferation of T20... Plays a big role in the quality and temperament of players both batsmen and bowlers...
Andrew Flintoff the English Cricket Legend deserved to play in 2011 and 2015 World Cups since such a great all rounder deserved a honourable retirement.
True, he could have been the perfect all rounder is he played for another 7 to 8 years. He was good at both batting and bowling, plus I don't get why retired at early 30s
@@sonnyvictor3584 He suffered from recurring knee injury throughout his career..... And he severely busted his knee in 2009 Ashes....he was suggested to take rest & look after his knee in last test of the ashes but he chose to play which damaged his knee permanently...... Very unfortunate..... He should not have played that match....
I am just 21 years old... But I can bet that t20 cricket has ruined everything. We don't feel good while watching ODI'S because today's players don't know how to play one day or test matches.. Cricket was awesome till 2015 . And one main contributer in destroying the cricket is IPL . The league is nearly 2.5 months long and fixed matches are played there. Mostly I watch the old highlights because I love watching pure cricket . In modern day odi game, part time bowler has disappeared, rarely we see reverse swing n many factors are absent. It's okay to say that Modern bats are very good but the officials made this beautiful game an easy prey for batters💔💔💔
During those days only South Africa were the only cricket team to wear Hummels brands now i love and missed those jersey n Hummels brand is from Denmark where currently Denmark football team are sponsored
I loved that little foggy weather, which tou won't see in today's england, the weather regulation there is chamging, and it's too becoming victim of heat waves owing to global warming...
DLS system sucks, a batting first side does not know how many overs will be bowled and thus cannot decide their run rate ultimately the batting side is given a full authority with all 10 batsmen while bowling second also reduces overs for the best bowler. with 10 wickets in hand 137 in 20 overs was a piece of cake
What classic about it 🤔. It was an easy win for the English side. Classic matches are mostly between arch rivals India & Pakistan. Type robel India & check for yourself.
I don't know why but 2000s cricket was such nostalgic and beautiful 😍

I've noticed the English and Kiwi seamers need cloudy and green pitches to show their talents...otherwise they can't bowl rightly
