Yeah truck stop was packed with oil and sand trucks I did try to go in oil fields but I don’t know anybody I called a friend of a friend who is up in North Dakota hauling sand for oil field I tried getting hired by them but it didn’t work out
hello Mahdi i think you start your business in hard financial times and don't forget that its election year i will give you advice I'm working with it right now try to get power only with Amazon in your reginal area especially your MC going towards 180 day age and when the holiday season end go back for flatbed good luck brother
@@KarmaAutoSales-v1o Hi thanks a lot yes I’m finally realizing that I start a company at a very bad time my MC is 172 days old today and I’m gonna apply for Amazon relay or try to haul tanker or something at least for the winter cause the flatbed is just gonna go down from here since we are going towards winter i hopefully will get accepted to haul for Amazon I just need to do some changes to my insurance for their trailer
You need to get your DOT inspections done. Whenever you are empty go to DOT officers and ask them for the inspection or do your 10 hours or 34 hours break at reststop/scale where there are DOT officers.
I asked in Utah and Idaho bro in Idaho they said it’s against the law to do voluntary inspections and it have to be done randomly but maybe if i take my 34hr reset in weight station i have a higher chance of being inspected.
@@TruckItTillYouMakeIt Same thing here in Washington, they won't do it unless it's random. I'm hearing more and more of that, no voluntary/driver requested inspections. I'm art just over 2 years with my authority, first non-cdl hotshot and now with a 53 ft step deck and no inspections even though I've been through 8 of the western 11 states. So far I've only had 2 or 3 brokers say no due to not having an inspection.
You want to get inspection drive to Seattle WA area from Los Angeles CA there are around 8 weight stations and one of them will for sure pull you in. Especially in OR.
@@DANsTrucking_Outdoors wow 2 years without any inspection well I think then the reason they are asking me for it might be because my MC is still under 6 months old and when it age more they won’t specially now that we can’t ask to be inspected no more i heard back in the day you could.
@@vahekirakosyan5257 I go through weight stations they just don’t pull me in to inspect specially now that it’s getting a little colder in some states I think the chances of being inspected goes lower.
Mercer I see their loads on load board bro there is a lot picking up from Utah but it barley pays like 2.50ish maybe not a good pay considering it’s hazardous, Tankers is good man ima try to haul some creamer also here soon If I can get in with WDT I’m waiting for my 180 days to pass only 8 days left
I'm a company driver and have wondered if it would be worth it to become an owner op. I even have the cash for to startup and buy a truck, but I'm still not convinced it's worth it in my area.
I think it’s worth it only if you run under a big company with contract loads and a good fuel discount and cheaper shop rate and so much other things but it really doesn’t worth to do what I am doing starting up your company doesn’t worth it in today’s market
Of course the dispatch doesn’t care about your cost per mile they take a percentage of gross and they still make money even if you don’t that’s why he is trying to convince you it’s good to take that shit to Maryland
The spot market is the worse it’s ever been! Suspended your authority and lease to a company that has contract freight with big fuel discounts tire discount! It’s not the brokers it’s the economy there’s lots of brokers going out of business. Go look at the big brokerage the ones traded on the stock market there doing horrible. And if we get four more years of democrats it’s going to get worse
I will suspend it after I get my new entrance audit if it doesn’t work the way I wan it to be, I think we might have another four years of this crap it looks like they are trying to start a war in Middle East just to stay in power
you where in Midland and Odessa Texas the Oilfield Trucking capital you can make good money there

Bro, you have to stop paying so much in maintenance.
I wish ma I hate it last month was lower
What is your cost per mile ?
I would say a 1.35 if i give myself a decent wage
Of course the dispatch doesn’t care about your cost per mile they take a percentage of gross and they still make money even if you don’t that’s why he is trying to convince you it’s good to take that shit to Maryland
It’s true honestly I been thinking the same no dispatch really cares about my cost per mile of running a truck
This market sucks for everybody. Is better to do bare minimum now.
