Transportation doesn't hold a candle to sanitation. If you're dealing with anything from recycling to garbage to septic, they have zero time for amateurs nor silliness or time wasters. Salesmen, unless they're selling the equipment those folks need, are fair game for gruff responses to verbal evisceration.
You went above and beyond by sharing your experience with Draiver, great video. After learning these pros and cons, I'll give it a try. I greatly appreciate your input.
I would recommend for the first Draiver run to take one where you have multiple drivers and a chase vehicle...I was able to learn a lot about my market in particular talking to the experienced drivers on the way back
I look forward to your videos on Draiver. I live in Las Vegas, NV, and the trips are like $200-600. I am intimidated but need the money. The phone charger thing was a really good tip. I will have to get a portable charger. Thank you!

Bridge statute on US and State highways is 13'6". Any taller and you need a oversize permit. 11+ years former trucker. Low clearance locations are documented in a Truckers atlas. 😉
STRONGLY recommend learning about air brakes and get a D.O.T card. If you get a large box truck with air brakes and the pressure gets low (around 40 psi), you will have little to no brakes. At the start you have to make sure the air pressure reaches 120 psi. Having a DOT card (for long runs) and knowing how to use a manual transmission could help also. I think they have CDL A & B runs too because upon applying it asks you about your credentials upon applying. Yeah due to that wear & Tear and gas, that 35 is more than that 46. This is why I like Draiver more than Amazon flex. Unless Flex shoots up to $120+ as that would cover even the worst routes, Dravier for me is usually better BUT shows up 1 to 2 times a week. I ONLY have two problems with Draiver. Often, the previous Draiver driver never return the license plate, thus at times you have to go to another dealership for another one or take their last one. Unlike Doordash and other gigs, not following the directions makes it harder for the next guy coming behind you. My other issue is while I dump on Amazon support A LOT, they resolve issues more than Draiver who seem to only escalate issues; and the manager often have to come in and save them. The guy Matthrew is really good manager (I assume he is the manager) as he is on point and is pretty tight, Reminds me of my manager from the last full time job. At least Dravier's support seem to care more about the situation than Amazon's support. Amazon's support often brushes your grievants off to continue with a script.
@@jasonrist6582 I know. I was saying upon applying they ask you do you have a CDL A or B class. This makes me think they either have CDL gigs or working on using CDL drivers for gigs.
I'd suggest bringing a good lithium power bank for your phone. I have one I keep for emergency jump starts that also has usb charging ports. It can power a phone all day long and then some.
