my grandparents have a farm right off a highway in rural illinois. their house scared me at night when i was young bc it was real old but the sounds of semis occasionally driving by in the distance comforted me because I knew i wasn’t alone
Can i just say Thank You to you? I can't thank you enough. I feel so relaxed watching this video. I like the sounds of vehicles. I sincerely hope the best for you and your family!
i find this comforting because when i was younger me and my sister and mom became homeless and drove all the way to texas from where we lived to stay with family and we'd sleep in hotels by the highway and leave the window open and this is all i heard while i fell asleep
it’s strange how comforting this sound can be to some people because a lot of people i know would consider it awful. i find comfort and excitement in it because not only does it remind me of hotels, but i often find myself stopping on the side of the road to take pictures of the signs if they’re old. weird hobby i know. because of it i’m pretty used to standing next to cars moving at 70 mph knowing that they won’t hit me as long as i stay on the other side of my lord and savior the white line haha
Oh I LOVE this video played with another tab open playing crickets and night time sounds. Then I am TOTALLY in an old, run down 1950's motel with blaring neon and a water spot on the lampshade.
I lived underneath THE major highway in West Michigan from last September til this March. Got a roof over my head for the time being, but I’ve found it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep. Now that I found your video, I’m actually able to get some Zs. Thank you so much, I was losing my mind without sleep!
So glad to hear things are better for you now. I always like those sounds when I use to drive cross country and had to park at a rest area. All the best to you.
Honestly I love this it reminds me of when we moved to live with my dad when I was younger it was 3 day long drive and we had to stop at truck stops on the highway to sleep and this reminds me of listening to the cars and trucks that passed by and personally I really like listening to highways especially the trucks that pass by it might be because my dad is a truck driver but yeah I love this vid
Thanks so much I ran cross country for 1 year so same I use to like the sounds when I slept in the truck I’m local driver now so home every night Thanks for stopping by all the best to you
I had a gymnastics competition and it involved going to Cincinnati, Ohio for the competition. We were staying in a hotel and my hotel room had a view of the highway. A bunch of my favorite trucks went on by. Including Kroger trucks because they were established in Cincinnati. I held a sign by the window and waving to the trucks that were going on by. It was to say thank you for there excellent career. Now that I'm home from Cincinnati, I still remember the time and it was a dream come true to go to Cincinnati. If you’re a truck driver, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE TO DELIVER TO OUR WONDERFUL COMMUNITY. YOUR A SHING STAR TO ALL! Thank you Truck Drivers! Blessings from Michigan!
This sound is comforting, because it reminds you of good moments. For me this reminds me of the roadtrips through Europe and resting in the night next to a highway. Great times.
there's something about this i feel so relaxed by, i live on a very quiet street and have been for the past 12 years so i don't hear this at all but i love going on car trips at night with the window down a bit on the freeway and sleeping to it. also back when i used to sleepover at my cousins often, they lived right in front of a main road and this is exactly what i'd snooze to as well.
Working with my boss with the highway i-95 running trough the back of one of his many rental properties on the east coast..The boss says it's noisy place to be. I love working with the highway noise and I told him I need to look up on google why do I like the highway so much. I found this video on google with my search and it answered all my questions. First it's something about being in motion. Things are happening and people have places to go. The sound of the diesel trucks is my real favorite when they speed up and slow down. Love the truck sound. That includes all vehicles slowing down together and they group together to a crawl. It's like friends hanging out together. Not feeling alone as others say. Always some kind of new vehicle to see or hear with some kind of sound. I told my boss. People sit down to watch a movie. Why not sit down to watch the highway. I find it very relaxing. Love it.
Thanks is for the comment. I feel the same way I ran cross country in a tractor trailer for a year. I got use to hearing this when I was parked and would go to sleep. Thanks for watching I made several other of these on my channel
I used to live in the corner of two intersecting interstates. One crossed over the other technically. It was always so loud at night and I hated it. I still hate it, but I miss it too. Thank you for this. Sometimes it’s nice to relive that life.
I used to live next to a highway that had traffic super similar to this, we've since moved now to a place quite far from the road near some woods. It's silent every night and I really miss hearing cars, trucks, and oddly enough ambulance/cop sirens wizz by. This so far has been the best replacement I've been able to find so far and I love it.
Use to live in white plains right next to the highway of 287 and i moved back upstate its quiet ASH here and omg hearing thie video brings me back sm comfort :)
I don’t know why but I love the clicking of the middle lane as cars and trucks hit the bumps, always found it relaxing but I seem to have trouble finding these types of videos haha, love the video though and it is a wonderful thing to sleep to
When I lived in El Paso, TX, I lived on one of the frontage(sometimes they are also called service) roads for Interstate 10, which was probably 50-60 feet from my house. The traffic was never loud enough to be an annoyance and after I left, I kissed hearing it while I slept. Thanks for recording this. If I may ask, what freeway is this? It looks familiar but I can’t read the sign.
turn it down to just nearly muted, and thats how I slept for years as a kid. Now I'm 31, and Living in a building thats not on a major road, sometimes its too quiet. the only noise I have is my computer and fan.
Sorry about that I usually don’t do the opening on the traffic videos I have about 8 of them if you want to check out some others . Thanks so much for watching
