Anyways, let’s define empurple (yes it’s an actual word) it is to make or become purple. So why would we would use this to describe Mafuyu. Empurple is symbolic because it isn’t a complete color rather a middle point. Currently for which Mafuyu is undergoing a transitional period for herself going from “blue to purple”. Purple as one of its lesser popular motifs is used with mystery. So I’d say as shifts her perspective from her current state to empurple it is her gaining more confidence to try to come to an understanding with mafumom. In the lyrics it seems although it is directed to someone. That someone I’d say is her mother. Mafuyu throughout this entire event is conflicted with her situation and is scared on what the reaction or consequences would occur if she acts further. Going so far to still asking for forgiveness for her change of mind/decision. tatsuya kitani (the other producer for moonlight) actually explained why in an interview: He said he didn't feel like he was worthy enough to make a commission by himself because he's basically been ignoring vocaloid for a few years, so he got one of his closest friends (harumakigohan, they've actually been friends since college) to help him make the song, that's why it ended up having 2 producers (and im so glad it did tbh)
