Part 1: • Dead Marshall Amp Repa...
This the second part of my Dead Marshall Amp Repair video. In this video I restore and clean the cabinet ready to refit the repaired amplifier. The video shows you to clean vinyl/tolex, glue the loose vinyl back down, remove and clean the handle, replace the feet, remove and clean the speaker, touch up the damaged areas.

Great job on the cleaning, a quick tip with regard to the fading of the grille cloth, you can use inkjet black printer ink, applied with a sponge, just buy a bottle of cheap non-genuine stuff. It's easy to get the Marshall logo off without damaging it, knock it out from the back with a suitably sized old drill bit (blunt end) and it pops out easily.

Thanks - you've given me the motivation to renovate my Lead 12, and a Kustom I found on the pavement.

Hi Ian, I'm glad I could help. I've got a vintage Lead 12 myself I bought off eBay for £15 some years ago. They're selling for more today. Fun amp, apparently popular for studio recording. Good luck with your restore and please subscribe if you feel inclined. Thanks for your comment.

Its realy nice and clean, exept the rusty screw's on the corners protectionpads, i advice you too brush them with a copperbrush or something like that, but a very good job..well done!

Yes you caught it! I actually noticed this after I videoed that clip. I ended up using the sharpie to darken the rivets. Thanks for your comment.
