Nigeria 🇳🇬 need to Amend the military constitution that was handed to us by the military regime of Abubakar . The 1999 Constitution is part of the problems afflicting system of government in Nigeria. The constitution is not working for Nigeria and the beautiful peoples of Nigeria in 2024. Let’s do the needful now to move Nigeria forward if we want peace and prosperity in the country.

The Nigerian government is not yet ready to move the country forward. The constitutional issue has been on for decades. Everybody knows that it is not conducive for the country, though, of course, benefitial to the politicians, yet, nobody wants to do anything about it.

IT SEEMS LIKE THE CONSTITUTION IS WRITTEN TO BENEFIT POLITICIANS AND NOT THE PEOPLE

Irrespective of the conversation on the constitution it's an unfair and unbalanced document...
It focuses more on the oligarchies, the State and the higher earners....
Like Dr Abayomi said we must draft a document that protects the citizens irrespective of ethnicity, religion or gender...we must all be equal in the eyes of the law and no one should be treated otherwise....a document enriched in equity, fairness and justice .

Under this regime and the entire APC reign, Nigeria has lost all its respect and aura of giant of Africa amongst all Africans. The Sahel countries moves has qualified Nigeria into a giant buffoon and coward of Africa.

US is different. As a starter, only Indians were natives or idigenes who either almost decemated or dispersed. Slaves were not even considered humans (2/3 humans for census only). The whites were unified with with a common culture, language, traditions and religion spread accross the original states. So there were no problems for the coming together to form a single political unit. Nigeria, on the other hand, had ethnic groups predating the country. There is also an issue of minorities within each of the major ethnic groups.

Do you still blame the Fulanis capturing the Nigerian State for their Caliphate, while discussion is going on for a more functional Constitutional framework, seeing and taking advantage of the discordant tones surrounding the indegenous peoples of the Niger area with non-aligned minorities scattered all over the space?A mosaic of a sort. The British must have foreseen the same problem of incoherence, and keeping their estate intact, the reason why they conceded power to the Caliphate,a prevailing stronghold to reckon with instead of the Azikiwe-Igbo with no particular Political force. So, what are we talking about? The Country is in a quagmire that may most likely be balkanized through ANARCHY of free fight.

These journalists in the studio are asking stupid questions. Permanentary system is far better than presidential system of government. Now this sister in the studio asking that minority will be marginalized, in which constitution will take care of that.
