Dr Abayomi said exactly what I have been saying before on this matter even as a lay man but I was surprised that a senior lawyer like Femi falana came out to make such errors in trying to interpret the law regarding the situation in river state
Why focusing on the elders and not explaining the constitutional implications of their defection. Not a balance analysis at all.
You people should tell wike to face his job in abuja and allow fubara ro govern rivers is this hard to say
Is Wike disturbing Fubara? Or is Wike standing at the govt house gate? People like u and others are the problem. Fubara should focus and ignore all the distractions and focus. Wike is focused in Abuja
Most of these issues are before the court, why can't the court come out and interprete the Constitution as it affect both paties claims and allow the matter to rest.
I have come to realize that the major problem of Nigeria is the followers (Nigerians) because they are not only emotional but are bad followers who are extremely sentimental base on their dispositions or supports to individual characters.
Firstly, I do not want the president to further intervene in resolving the issues because the earlier one failed and he was being castigated for vested interest.
Secondly, I am well impressed with the analysis of Dr. Abayomi. I am proud of you and the tribe you represents. You have said the truth, and extensively fair in your analysis. Let me not forget to express my disappointment in the show of shame exhibited by Lawyer Falana, a SAN for that matter, joining other 'charge and bail' lawyers in creating confusion in the land. How could Falana come on air to say that the legislators who defected have automatically lost their seats. It's a shame to see a lawyer of that caliber making an unwarranted statement. Someone, who is expected to know better! This got to show that he and his chambers are really 'a scam.' I challenge him to explain to us the concept of judicial precedence. For instance, do we say because the supreme court had earlier sentensed someone who committed murderer to death, therefore, anyone who commits such crime should be killed immediately? It is commonsensical to approach the court for adjudication on the matter. This is a simple case. Why do we now creating issues where there should be non? Their defection must be sanctioned by the court, if they approach it, even if there was a speaker who was able to declare their seats vacant.
Many of the people castigating Wike now will even do worst if they are in Wike's shoes. It's a common phenomenon to a typical Nigerian. If you want to fight by going to equity, you have to come with clean hands. The governor is only playing the victim, and his handlers are not helping him.
A caller was talking about court injunction restraining the lawmakers. For your information, an for the avoidance of doubt, that injunction was temporary and is expected to be valid for 7 days (even though it was a kangaroo injunction that is unconstitutional). Because the matter was already at the court of appeal
Lastly, the governor needs to be mindful of his steps. It is extremely unconstitutional for him to declare the seats or proclaim that the seats of the defected legislators are vacant. That was wrong! All those clapping and supporting the governor did not see anything wrong in the governor withholding the federal allocations of the elected local government. Sometimes, I asked myself, what do Nigerians want? It's so unfortunate!
One sided analysis you have not make any sense
@robertemiowele9917 I don't think it is difficult for you to 'make your own sense.' But failure to do that is what makes you 'no sense.' I have only asserted on the principles of the law, not on sentiments or emotions. If you desire to come to equity, you have to come with clean hands. That is why I am not, and I will never be a fan of any politician. Because they are all the same with common interest. Continue to insult people with divergent opinions on issues with the politicians. That will not make you a better person in society! To cap your sentiment about governance, there is an adage that says if you want to wine and dine with the devil, you must have a long spoon. Wike and his estranged godson were running the governance in the state together during his misrule. Wike was good then. Even when EFCC wanted to arrest and prosecute him for corruption, Wike did everything possible to cover him from being arrested and prosecuted. To Fubara, Wike was the best then. The question you should ask yourself is what went wrong? Instead, you attack anyone who analyzes the issue objectively because your principal has run foul of the law! I just pity your generation!
Oga did you know the same wike was the target of the efcc, fubara being the accountant general of the state was the one who issued the money on wike demand since wike had immunity then, they decided to start the investigation on funara pending on when will complete his term.instead of you trying to drag me please use the energy to allow fubara to do his work is that too big to ask
@robertemiowele9917 Unfortunately, I am not dragging you, but opening your eyes to reality! You have said that Fubara was the one signing the cheques on Wike's authority as the AGS. What makes him different from Wike? That is why I say don't come to equity with dirty hands! They are both accomplice in the crime to loot the state.
Let me tell you today that politicians all over the world, including the Western world here, are all the same - common interest! But the difference between the politicians in Nigeria and the Western world is impunity. This is the order of the day in Nigeria because it has eaten so deep into the blood of every individual and the system. There can not be an end to it if the system is not overhauled. It's a systemic problem. The holiest or righteous person on earth can not be a successful leader in Nigeria, with the current system being operated. Take it, or you leave it!
Wike needs not to be told to face his job because he is doing it diligently. Fubara is the one that is not doing his job and he is the one disturbing himself. How can he be fighting every other elected members of the State? He is fighting the large members of the house of assembly and turns himself to court over their matter. He is fighting the elected chairmen of all the local government and illegally withholding their allocation.
Fubara is gone already is just a matter of time
Nonsense what out 8 years straight
Gone to were
The elders are protecting the office of the governor not Fubara.
TVC has lost their professional & journalist virtue and values. The TV station is now the Communication and Information department of APC headquarters. Soon they will move TVC office to APC office
President doesn't need to come into the matter, All the president need to do is to instruct Wike to focus on his job and allowed Fubara to do his job as Governor
Association of theifs
Hi can you a constitution lawyer say is that governor wike make fubara a governor ?is that not a rape on the constitution .is it lawful ?governor fubara became a governor with the people's vote as far as democracy is concern this is the way governor is selected
Someone whose popularity couldn't make him a governor but a godfather is now seeking for people's sympathy and the gullible ones too are falling for him by dabbling into what they are not part
Quak lawyer
The funny thing is that Wike is doing his job and doesn't need to be told. It is Fubara that is not doing his job and he is the one disturbing himself. How will governor will be fighting all other elected members of other institutions in the state? He is against the large members of the house of assembly and the local government chairmen of all the local government. How can he be successful in his job?
You don't have manners,wike supporters 👹
