another great video. i was going to say oh maybe they added big to boost sales but, then i thought wait then they'd have made it a better experience. game producers be trippin' sometimes.
The Sonic Fandom split happened when the Sonic Adventure games released, and honestly I can understand why a lot of fans felt betrayed by SEGA, but at the same time I am disappointed that many people didn't even give the games a chance, because they can be very fun once you understand the mechanics and know how the levels work, the first time I played the SA games I didn't know what I was doing because I was a kid, and I also triggered a bunch of glitches and stuff that broke the game, but once I got over those things I learned to appreciate the games, and the story while very criticized was pretty good for it to be referenced in other Sonic series and stuff, and they even redid the whole SA1 and SA2 plots back in the Sonic X anime too, so if it had been so bad as so many people claim it, then they wouldn't do things like that, but its a shame that the game hasn't received a proper re-release, but thanks to the fans the Steam versions of the games were modded to feel closer to the Dreamcast versions, and some mods were created to make the game experience even better, through some quality of life improvements which might be something that more people should take a look at. The community is very incredible though, when you realize that they have modded many games to fix them, and that someone is actually making Sonic 06 fun with their PC version of a console only game.
The Sonic hacking community is incredible. I tune into the Sonic Hacking Contest each year and am blown away by the creativity and dedication shown by the fans. Project 06 especially is unbelievably impressive. It almost makes me wish Sega would try and remake 06 to realize the ambition it had. (Though that story would especially need a rework too)
That’s Good review and all, but If i remember right (which i Never do), Amy’s gameplay was supposedly be Stealth type gameplay (as almost every her stages has empty drums and boxes Amy can use to hide herself.) but as SA was little bit rushed, it wasn’t Implemented correctly (she can still hide herself and move, but she can’t jump, and as Zero occasionally uses it’s Shockwave move, it will hurt Amy) Also one very big thing that only Dreamcast had that DX rereleases didn’t have was DLCs. They weren’t like new stages or characters, but they were some seasonal event like Christmas trees (that played music when interacted) and 2K balloons on Station Square, Halloween ghosts on Twinkle park, and some race Challenges.
The fully implemented stealth gameplay with Amy would be interesting to see, but I would be worried that it would slow the game down a bit too much having to wait around. And I totally forgot about the downloadable events for the Dreamcast version! Adventure 2 had some similar things if I'm not mistaken. I would love to see future ports of Adventure implement those events back in by allowing you to toggle them on and off in the settings.
big definitely was added as filler and nothing else, seems like a worse version of sega bass fishing tbh. great vid i was IN shocked you only had 47 subs, you have a new subscriber
I believe that Sonic Adventure is the best 3D transition the series could have had. It's not perfect, but how can you not get excited when the title screen appears with "Open Your Heart" playing in the background?
I appreciate you giving it a watch regardless! And yeah, I agree, DX looks nowhere near as good, the Xbox Live port was just the simplest option avaliable to me recording-wise. The DX graphics is what I grew up with on GameCube anyways, so even if I prefer the Dreamcast visuals, this just felt right.
I used to not like him, but honestly, his appearances in the comics really turned me around into loving him. I especially think he's fun when he's with a group of characters he can bounce his personality off of.

It certainly felt like they were throwing everything at the wall and seeing what stuck, lol

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

Open Your Heart is the perfect moodsetter for the whole experience!
Just hoped this would use either Dreamcast footage or Dreamcast Conversion footage on PC, 'cause DX is butt-ugly in comparison.
But good video, still.

I still thank this game for introducing to my boy, Big The Cat. Yeah his gameplay is boring, but he's likeable.
I used to not like him, but honestly, his appearances in the comics really turned me around into loving him. I especially think he's fun when he's with a group of characters he can bounce his personality off of.
@@tomeofsilver i even cosplayed as a human version of him.
That's awesome! What a fun idea!
@@tomeofsilver it was fun to make too.
More like rough one.
Hey, to each their own. If you don't enjoy the game, that's perfectly fine.
You’re wrong.
I like Sonic Adventure as well, but yeah. This guy is right 👆🏾
