  • The future is here and now for graphic designers, photographers, cinematographers, and production designers! We can now create our own 3D worlds, nearly instantly and with just a few keystrokes inside of a prompt utilizing After Effects and Davinci Fusion.
    This video serves to show the potential of creating individual scene elements, combining them in post, and then creating a final product. This is NOT a tutorial but will serve more as a reference of how it's done so you can go out and create on your own.

    I was LITERALLY searching for ‘cinemagraph in after effects’ a few hours back and then now you post this video! The timing! This is not a cinemagraph but a motion graphics composite, but yeah midjourney and motion graphics is going to be fun!

      Haha too funny! You know, they're similar enough in design they could be cousins! Thanks for watching!

    This is wild. If it took longer to animate in AE than it took to create the candle, books, and library images from scratch, mid journey is going to be a serious disrupter.

      It's only going to get faster and more detailed so things are definitely going to get disrupted!

    Thanks, man. Great work!
    As someone who's getting into using After Effects to animate midjourney elements this video couldn't have been more perfectly timed for me.

    Sick! It makes me wish I was one of those 4 hour a night sleepers so I could do more

      Right?! I think this technology is going to propell motion-graphic artists / photographers / designers and more into a whole new realm... of which there won't be any time to do anything because this is all you'll be doing!! ha.

    Excellent article. I've been playing around with MidJourneyAI also and came upon your video while looking for ways to animate.
    I agree about the RAM needs for Adobe. I've got 64GB and most people I know said 16 would be fine. But I've got my RAM at 70% use when I'm using Adobe.
    I've got 16 cores that run near 5,000Mhz and that's maxed out with my 3D stuff.
    One day, I'm gonna build a rig like you've got!
    Thanks for the information, it gives me ideas! ✌

    Let us know if you can find out a way to turn on2 of those 2d scenes into a 3d asset with textures :)

    Can this be done in Blender?

    • @soumyareema
      @soumyareema 2 года назад

      I guess it can. But I’m not seeing a lot of tutorials or even just workflow for vfx compositing (like this) in blender. 🙁

    • @District7DrewGeraci
      @District7DrewGeraci  2 года назад +1

      @@soumyareema it COULD be done in blender but I wouldn't recommend it. Blender is for creating 3D objects, while AE is meant for using 2D/3D objects to create motion graphics.

      @@District7DrewGeraci Thanks for the response! The only reason I would want to learn how to do it in Blender is because that’s open source as well as becoming more and more versatile by the day, and I feel right now open source is more reliable than monopolising corporates. I do have AE but thinking where to invest my time, learning Blender or AE, so that there are no surprises in the future. I guess I’ll do both but with more focus on Blender for its versatility. AI will be able to composite soon anyway I guess.

    Adobe's resource utilisation SUCKS!
    You would speed up your workflow massively if you used DR Fusion

      I do use fusion =) I'm 95% DR for everything. AE does layers a bit better though VS fusion which is why I still use it.

      Any chance you could point me towards a video that demonstrates how to do this type of 3D Motion Graphics in DR Fusion? Thanks if so!
