The hard work of putting candy on the bike begins, a never-ending but satisfying job 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Josh, if I may advise, it hurt me when I saw you put the rubber on with the help of the screwdriver. I've done it many times and I've also damaged the rubbers many times. Now they are new and you can't tell, but when they get old they crack more easily. I always did it this way until I learned a way that is not only simpler but also much safer. With my bad English I'll try to explain how to do it, see if I can be understood. With a rope or a piece of electric cable with a sheath that does not damage the rubber. It is a matter of folding it in half and putting it through the hole from the opposite side where you want to put the rubber, the two ends remain on the opposite side. Pass the rope around the rubber and cross it, once is enough. Then it's a matter of pulling the loose ends from the other side of the opening and inserting the rubber band and releasing it by itself, it's a matter of 1 second. This way it is not damaged and is very quick and easy. I don't know if I've been understood, I hope so 😁
@@MVDBR As I have already explained this technique several times and you are right, without seeing it it is difficult to understand, in a moment I have made a video of how to do it. In this case they are dumpers for a gimbal but it is perfectly extrapolated to the case of the radiator protector, it comes perfect. You don't have to use oil, screwdriver or anything, just a piece of rope or electric cable. The video is made fast, to share among friends, but I think that to have done it in the first take, I was surprised because it was acceptable at first, it's enough to understand the technique, or so I hope 😀 ruclips.net/video/HO0-ZfIHzrw/видео.html I hope on my channel I will also be able to show my two-wheeled girl soon 😁
And if you're in the middle of nowhere and you don't have any hot water you just chew it over and over and over the top becomes very soft and valuable and then it goes straight in😎😎
Yeah I agree mate but I can see why they'd wanna keep costs down when a lot of people won't ride em where they need the protection anyway. But yeah, I'm hearin ya!
My exact thoughts. They put spoke wheels on for it's intended purpose as an ADV bike. Those that are not going to use an ADV bike for it's intended purpose, can get one of the several other bikes out there....MT or the Tracer. One of the great things about motorcycles of today....so many sub-genres. In the end, factory aftermarket parts are just a common practice for all vehicle manufacturers. Make more money after the initial sale and keep the costumer coming back.
@@JohannesDalen I thought it was really good quality item. If you search Yamaha Ténéré 700 accessories on Aliexpress you'll find one. Very easy to fit. Just remove one side panel & slip it behind the original plastic one. Double the protection.
To fine of a mesh Josh. Watch out for grass seeds, they can be a pain in the arse and sometimes very hard to remove if you are unlucky. Just as an opinion; B&B guards and bashplates are very hard to beat. But yeah, good luck with the new toys 👍
MVDBR Enduro yeah watched it all, glad i did!! just to see the struggle at the end 😜 cause when you did it i was like Prick got those straight in hahah but then was happy to see you didn’t hahah
Love all of your Vids. Guys, There's never FA on the telly so your channel is my go to.I'm in the process of selling my Harley and will I get a KTM 300 exc tpi.The Tenere looks like the same engine/Poxy mirrors😆 as my Yamaha MT07?
😆 Yeah I probably should get a 500 seems I'm down in Mildura Vic, where the Hattah race is, mostly wide open trails. I will be riding all models before I purchase👍
Thanks man. I've still got the stock Scorpion Rally STR on mine but will be putting some Goldentyre knobbies on it when these are worn out. Last time we saw Mick he was running Scorpion Rally fronts & Pirelli MT21 Rallycross rears
The pastic guard, goes all the way up as inner fairings the metal gaurd doesn''t so wondering does it mean there is a hollow now and water and mud will go inside the fairings?
That’s a very flimsy looking aftermarket radiator guard. From where I sit watching this I don’t really see much advantage over the standard plastic one.
Thanks for the video. Gives me an idea of what to expect when I finally get the T7 delivered.
No worries mate 👍👍
Thanks for posting this. We just installed and your video saved us much time. 👍
Cheers Steve thanks for dropping a comment, much appreciated. Glad it helped :)

I think I see what you're getting at! But I might have to watch a video of it to be sure hahaha. Thanks for that though, appreciated! 👍

Hahaha how cool is that! Works very well thank you for the video mate 👍👍👍
Hey Josh, little tip when using rubbers is heat them up. Soaking in a bit of hot water helps heaps. 😎😎
Ahh good tip thanks mate 👌

Great instructional episode. Look forward to your next. Maybe Camel raised front guard?
Yeah I reckon once that low guard gets ripped off it'll be time for a high one :)
Thanks Josh - seriously I would’ve struggled big time without your video (especially given the crap instructions provided ) thanks heaps 👍😀
No worries yeah the instructions were pretty shit. Thanks for dropping a comment 👌
No instructions, was praying there was a video, thanks!!!!
Oh true, haha yeah I got instructions with mine but they were pretty ordinary 🙈
Nice job Josh, good bit camera work 👍👍
Thank you 👍
Thank you - absolutely helped me get it done on mine
Excellent 👌
You wonder why the factories don't just install decent oem equipment at time of building the bike.Thks.

What they should offer is a option list of upgrades
My tenere is on order & I shall be going to the DIY store & buying a sheet of aluminium mesh & putting it behind the standard guard.
That will work too 👍😁
Did you do it? R&G has one you can buy now which is exactly that, an alu mesh to put behind plastic one.
@@JohannesDalen No I bought one from Aliexpress that just slips behind the original one. I have a video on here of it.
Awesome, thanks. How did you like it? Do you happen to have the part number?

I've got one of everything B&B make for the T7 on order already :) Sadly they don't do a rad guard yet. Thanks for the input tho mate 👌
Great wee video, very useful thanks for sharing 👍
Great vid man👍
Cheers Jørgen 👍🙂
Good job Josh.
Thx mate :)
Awesome mate, saved me a heap of time
Cheers glad to help, thanks for the comment 👌
To get the washer onto the rubber grommet a smear of washing up liquid makes it slip on relativly easily
Cheers 🙌
Nice work !!
looks bit better than the original, should keep the stones and branches out
and bugs 🐛 🕷 🐜
Lol yeah thanks mate I hope you didn't actually sit thru that whole video though. Unless you're planning on getting an adventure bike 😁
MVDBR Enduro yeah watched it all, glad i did!! just to see the struggle at the end 😜

Yeah that rubber thing was fucked 😅😅
Thanks, huge help.
No problem! Cheers
Great Video Now I can do mine with Ease!

Yep they stole the motor out of the MT :) A 2-stroke? Won't hold that against ya 😉 Thanks for watching Peter. PS you're not wrong about the shit on TV
😆 Yeah I probably should get a 500 seems I'm down in Mildura Vic, where the Hattah race is, mostly wide open trails. I will be riding all models before I purchase👍
Yeah 500 mate fkn lovely machine 👌
Not biased or anything ;)
@@MVDBR 😆😅 Nah I wouldn't have thought so😉
Sounds like somebody was recording late at night not wanting to wake up the boss or the neighbours? :-D
Oh yeh, covert ops ;)
Great Chanel. What tires are running on t7. And what tires does mad mick Run on the AT. Keep it on two wheels.

I've not had any issues with that
Bling bling!!
Nice one. Cheers
Good luck uncle...iam devin my father is ari pramono
Ouch. But I hate to see ktm 790 prices 😅
Yeah well, that's true haha. But Jesse does look after us on KTM stuff 😍👌
😎🍺

Yeh it would have been good if they'd mate it a bit thicker.
You could get a job at a Yamaha dealership.
Hmm dunno about that mate not sure if I'm too shonky or not shonky enough hahaha
This guard is bad for mud. Standart is better.
Ripped off, prices are stupid.
Yeah I did originally have a rant about the price of shit at the start of this video but decided to edit it out haha
It's just plain disgusting, I feel like a mug paying ridiculous prices.
I just got a mvdbrenduro key ring.....for my pit bike....I'll give my self a thumbs down+an uppercut...
Hahaha thanks mate I will send you them tomorrow 😁
I'll slap one at the crf to...standing by for stikers...
Apparently they're in the mail 👌
