Tonya's Story | LSU Online

In this video, Dr. Tonya Jagneaux, MD, talks about how she is furthering her education by pursuing her Masters in Science and Analytics, through the LSU Online and Continuing Education program. She describes how she currently working as a physician, so it was crucial to her that she would be able to take classes on her own time and at her own pace.
Dr. Tonya explains that she would not be able to complete the education she needed, unless it was through an online program. With her busy schedule in mind, LSU Online offered the best fit and program for her. She explains that on top of having a career, there are a variety of daily tasks and responsibilities that one has, so if you are not dedicated to being a student, you fall behind within all your classes. Dr. Tonya's biggest advice is having time management because it becomes harder as you get older to retain difficult information, especially at the Master's level.
Dr. Tonya realized that in her everyday job, concepts started to evolve and become more complex. She quickly realized she needed that extra "component" in her education in order to further her knowledge within her professional career.
