@@jakerockznoodles Sure... If you mentioned this, apologies, but I didn't notice it myself. They didn't get the rights obviously, and Robocop was the end result.
Let me get this straight. Snes' Robocop v Terminator even had a first person level on Skynet perimeter. Mode 7 with multiple sections, fake contrast and light, good sound and music. It had the COMIC BOOK story between missions. Not to mention awesome cartridge box design. Genesis was arcadey and fun but lacks the COMIC BOOK and has ugly fart music, synthesized sound effects, bitmaps and limited sprite animations... so it is better??? It can't be bad, but you can't say it ''wins''. How it can be better? Because Genesis was less expensive? Biased review. Bias that still happens right here on 2020. The Snes had that heavy gameplay because it wasn't trying to be arcadey. Prove it yourself by messing with terminators in the present and check how deep is the AI. The team behind did a crazy job ahead of their time. If you deny graphic superiority, Snes still had the freagging comics in the story which is the point of this thing. The fact you neglect that very fact shows pure Sega blind bias and comments are totally fanboyistic. Wtf happened to facts anyway? Flat earthers everywhere.
the snes one cracked me up because i was playing in front of my mom, and she suddenly said "....why are all the bad guys women?" what could i say rofl i hadn't noticed, then i couldn't unsee it
The Sega Master System version wasn't all too bad for an 8-bit port of the Mega Drive version. The weaponry wasn't as diverse but the level design matched the 16-bit version's layout down to the hidden levels including the stage select one.
Both the SNES and MD versions suffered from having huge (admittedly impressive-looking) characters, making dodging things quite difficult. In many ways the SMS version plays better with its somewhat zoomed-out view, while still looking great! Just a shame it suffers heavily from slowdown and sprites disappearing. The soundtrack, with the exception of the new title/stage1 theme, was really butchered too -- they should have remade the entirety of it.

T3 is underrated... Until that point, there were two amazing films, and expectations were too high for the third iteration. Watch T3, now, and it's a fun action flick with a brave twist at the end.
It had a good ending and some good parts, but they couldn't even get the math right in the opening narration from John Connor. He says T2 happened when he was 13, but he was born in 1985. Judgment Day was supposed to be August of 1997, but T2 is actually set in 95, so he would really be 10 during T2, so he could only be no older than 12 by the time Judgment Day occurs. The fact that they had to build the plot around this blatant overlooked error makes it barely a better 3rd film than Robocop 3. T3's saving grace is that it's a decent brainless popcorn action flick and is at least R rated whereas Robocop 3 basically killed the franchise. There is supposed to be an upcoming sequel Robocop Returns which retcons all original sequels, but I don't mind alternative sequel timelines if they pose interesting plot ideas. As for Terminator Dark Fate, I felt it connected better to T2 especially with Sarah Connor returning along with an interesting take on the machine's ever-adapting intelligence. I prefer Dark Fate to T3, but T3 would have been so much better if it handled the material with better consideration to plot details and less on cheesey humor.
I'll be honest here. I don't feel like I can trust Slope any more when it comes to game reviews on SEGA consoles. I mean, it is fine and pretty much unavoidable to have a bias, but I feel his bias is so strong it ends up being distorting.
Once MK11: Aftermath comes out, we'll finally be able to play out our fantasies. Also, Dark Fate was pretty good. Nowhere near as good as the first two, but a decent 3rd place, and I loved Arnold's role in it. Hope we'll see RoboCop Returns someday
I enjoyed playing the original Mega Drive version, and I enjoyed seeing some of MK 11: Aftermath where Robocop and The Terminator duked it out. Loved it.
Hey Slopes if you like the Robocop vs Terminator comic book mini series on Dark Horse then you should check out Aliens vs Predator vs Terminator comic book mini series also on Dark Horse !
Dark Horse comics were much closer to the original two film's tone but the Marvel run was still pretty good imo, not as explicit at times but they had some dark stories too like people being kidnapped and processed into new Robocops in one story. Hah I was just revisiting the Now Comics Terminator comics and they are extremely goofy, some of the schlockiest dialog you'll ever read. ^_^
There was also a RoboCop vs. Terminator vs. Aliens follow-up comic in... 2005, maybe? It wasn't very good from what I recall. If Virgin were trying to make Contra 3, they really should have went with smaller character sprites. While it does make the MD/SNES versions *look* very nice, it makes it a lot harder to play than it should be. Due to this, the Master System version actually plays better in many ways, although it has its own share of problems such as slow down and sprite flicker.
I think they should do an animated movie with Peter weller voicing robocop obviously & Arnold Schwarzenegger voicing the terminator I think that could work

Wat did u think of the robocop vs terminator epic rap battle?
The stop motion endoskeleton at the end of T1 is far creepier than any cgi could ever be. Plus the opening battle of T2 still looks fantastic.
Stop motion makes robots move robotically, cgi makes them move like ninjas.
Yeah whatever filter Danny added made the effect look far worse than the original source footage, FYI to anyone that's not seen the movie.

T3 was good, T6 was very good, and Salvation was just OK ... ?! Wow, this makes me question your judgement altogether ... 😶
A most fun series of games. Comprehensive history as well Dan. Thanks! 😊
Robocop and Terminator, Captain Kirk and Darth Vader, Lo Pan, Superman, every single power ranger, Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan, Spock, The Rock, Doc Oc, and Hulk Hogan...
You lost me when you called dark fate verry Good.. Wtf?
@bigevilworldwide1 it's teerable regardles if it had women in leads or not, they should just quit making shitty movies and ruining the lagacy of the franchise
Wasn't expecting this one, cheers!
I love these videos thanks slopes
T3 is underrated... Until that point, there were two amazing films, and expectations were too high for the third iteration. Watch T3, now, and it's a fun action flick with a brave twist at the end.
I agree the twist at the end is phenomenal.
Agreed
@@liquidgeorge ikr ? I was honestly stunned and it made perfect sense too
It had a good ending and some good parts, but they couldn't even get the math right in the opening narration from John Connor.
I liked T3, but I really wished that Edward Furlong had come back to play John Connor. Nick Stahl didn't do it for me.
You also forgot about the greatest cross over in history: Archie vs. Predator!
Fun game, but in my opinion, the difficulty doesn't scale properly.
Every bit as entertaining as a vid about these characters should be.
Robo Cop would definitely destroy the Terminator.
But would he destroy the T-1000, Rev-9 and Skynet/Legion?
Great content as always. You could talk about anything and make it sound interesting.
Robocop would win, there's a Death Battle episode explaining why.
masterneme It’s fiction. You can make anything up.
@@liquidgeorge If you aren't making it internally consistent, its bad fiction.
AWESOME STUFF DAN!!!!!
When you said dark fate was good i tuned out wtf man.
😁👍 dark fate is shit 😁👍
It's really not a bad movie know Terminator Genesis is shit💩
Genesis is not god , but Genesis is better than dark fate
@@lordgru3384 they were all shit after 3 and even 3 was not needed as 2 finished the story off perfectly
I actually would really like to see a video where you compare the Terminator movies
Can you look at the history of Mega Man🤖
17:15 easter egg in the video, he said "ideas" when the screen said "issues". Yes, I pay that much attention to your videos.
I think they should do an animated movie with Peter weller voicing robocop obviously & Arnold Schwarzenegger voicing the terminator I think that could work
Besides a couple of goofy effects, what has "aged" about either of these films?
If I see anything Robocop or the Terminator I click it’s just that simple
YEAH fantastic video sir! I always liked the RED carts!
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the plastic casing the US SNES version was released with.
