I always enjoyed this storyline, and how it neatly tied together and proposed a meaningful end to both franchises. Murphy is allowed to realize his full potential combining his machine side and his human side to serve as protector of humanity, and Skynet meets its ultimate demise to a machine with the soul of a human. Given the direction of both IPs in later installments, adapting this into a movie probably would have been a more satisfying conclusion. One thing this video surprisingly left out btw, was that Skynet sent the second pair of Terminators back to not only apprehend Robocop, but to also prevent him from killing himself. Murphy was so distraught over the image painted of the future, that he was about throw himself into an incinerator to prevent it.
James Cameron should have been smarted and isntead of making their upcoming failure, they should have adapt Robocop vs The Terminator to the big screen
James cameron is only a producer on the latest project, that s why it's set to fail before it even hits the silver screen he's the only one who has any buisness even touching it as far as I'm concerned unfortuneatly it's been proven more than 3 times now.
I can imagine John Connor and Robocop joining forces with ED209 to engage in one final battle to terminate the machines once and for all and save mankind.....the title goes well with this plot
They reference this in a dialogue before a fight in MK 11, but Robocop is sure that he and Terminator have met, while Terminator says he has no record of a previous encounter.
Also one the coolest weapons ever created is made. Murphy makes a fusion powered rail gun, that looks like his original one. That would be a cool gun to have.
Had this game on snes as a kid, pretty cool game. Alien vs predator on snes was pretty good too. The alien queen was a pretty tough fight, untill you use predators slide kick and stun lock her to death.
Sorry to be a nerd but RoboCop used 2 ED209's at the hospital. One he picked up from a traffic control point where it was about to kill a driver for pulling a gun on it, the other was already at the hospital and was in the process of making a small bloody smear of a small dog that had decided to piss up it's leg.
Used to love playing Robocop vs Terminator on the sega mega drive back in the day. The other RvT story mentioned I assume is the one by marvel comics drawn by Lee Sullivan. I know this because I grew up on Lee Sullivan's on Transformers G1 UK
if we added the drones , UAVs , Electromagnetic bombs , thermal camouflage suits , Laser metal cutters , anti acid polymer equipment , anti stabbing suit , Atlas Laser cannon carried on Humvees , Russian Lestva microwave tank to human's arsenal … what will that affect a fight between humans versus xenomorph , yautja , engineer , terminator
I want to read my graphic novel again, I loved the hell out of it then and I still do to this very day, I've read it numerous times and I played the sega game religiously, even nearly 30 years later I still have the cheat codes memorized
Skynet vs matrix … matrix is more complicated than Skynet .. matrix is using humans as "batteries" not energy batteries of course but it think & ideas batteries .. Skynet is an obsolete artificial intelligent machine faster in action & more direct … Matrix is slower , more cunning (indirect) & interested in probabilities & consequence .. also it need humans so it need to feed them & biologically care of them so it consume more resources … Skynet has slightly powerful terminators than the flying matrix battel units … but matrix could sneak & hack Skynet in order to understand it , try to control terminators & even domesticated the Skynet if it cannot control it directly

So judgement day still happened, millions still die, the only thing changed was that Robocop was given the forethought create the copy of his consciousness to pretty much battle himself. How was both the past and future saved?
Now I know there was a Robocop vs. Terminator comic in the 1990's. The basic plot of it goes something like Robocop has to upload his conciousness into the Skynet mainframe to travel into the future to destroy Skynet. When I learned there was another Robocop movie, it gave me the idea that the world is ready to revisit Robocop vs. Terminator. My idea is fresh and unique. The movie begins with a montage of Robocop fighting crime, serving the public trust. Robocop has helped rid Detroit of 90% of crime in just 10 years, and in that same amount of time, Robocop's manufacturers, OCP has revolutionized the robotics industry by fusing man with machine. OCP has even branched off into the medical industry, by providing robotic limbs for amputees, and exoskeleton suits for paraplegics. Since the creation of Robocop, OCP has monopolized robotics. At an annual robotics show, a startup company, Cyberdine systems is ready to tip their cap into the ring by debuting their T-800. Cyberdine markets their robot as the future of robotics by taking the man out of the machine, but Cyberdine fails to generate any buzz at this robotics show. The general public isn't ready to embrace sentient beings. The T-800 cannot talk, it's just an iron skeleton, whereas Robocop is half man, half machine. Cyberdine brass is discouraged and begins to formulate a plot to overtake OCP. The public doesn't buy in to Cyberdine's more advanced technology, so Cyberdine brass plan to destroy Robocop with a T-800, but they can't deploy a T-800 in Detroit, that would be too obvious that they were behind it, so they begin to develop the technology to cover their T-800 with living flesh to disguise their product as human, then deploy the robot in Detroit to destroy Robocop, so that Cyberdine can usurp OCP in the battle of robotics.
This is what should happen. Robocop vs Terminator, but not the Frank Miller version. This is my vision. In the not so distant future, Robocop is celebrating its 15th anniversary of safe patrol in the city of Detroit. The Robocop program has been a complete success for OCP. Detroit was arguably the most dangerous city in America, but Robocop helped revitalize Detroit and make it one of the safest cities in the world. With the success of Robocop, it allowed Omni Consumer Products to grow exponentially. OCP has monopolized the field of robotics. OCP manufactures robotic limbs for amputees, they even created a robotic suit for paraplegics to wear, allowing them to walk again. OCP took the basic design of Robocop and made it into a combat suit to be worn by soldiers in battle. The theme with OCP's robotic products though is the human element, whether through robotic limbs or the combat suit, their products are designed to be used by human beings. OCP hasn't been met with controversy though. Alex Murphy's widow was able to successfully sue OCP for the emotional damage of having her husband's corpse salvaged into a robot. As a result, legislation was enacted prohibiting the use of robotics to resurrect a deceased human, so Robocop will only ever be one of a kind. A startup company poses the question that if OCP creates products to enhance a man's abilities, or in Robocop's case, resurrect him, what happens when you remove the man from the machine? At an annual robotics convention, Cyberdine Systems debuts their model T-800, a machine with no human element. Cyberdine representatives show a video of the T-800 competing in various tactical drills against a soldier wearing OCP's combat suit (the Robocop design), and the T-800 is faster, stronger, and smarter, but the machine is met with skepticism. A reporter asks, who is in control of this machine? What if the machine goes rogue? Miles Dyson, a young Cyberdine executive responds that the T-800 is controlled by state of the art, infallible software, that these machines are safe, but the press is still doubtful despite Cyberdine's T-800 being more advanced than OCP's combat suit (Robocop design). Cyberdine's debut of the T-800 is a complete disaster because the public isn't ready to embrace a machine without the human element. After the robotics convention, Cyberdine is now on the verge of bankruptcy. Cyberdine brass meet privately to discuss what they can do to salvage their company, but realize there is nothing they can do because of the success of the Robocop program. Miles Dyson then quips, to compete with the greatest company in the history of mankind, we have to fracture the trust the public has in OCP, and to do that, we must create doubt. We must destroy Robocop. A colleague of Dyson's responds that they can't just send out a T-800 to kill Robocop because Cyberdine would be held responsible for it. Dyson agrees, but suggests covering the T-800 in living flesh so that the machine can blend into society, kill Robocop without being detected. The T-800 is covered in living flesh, becoming The Terminator and it is deployed in Detroit. The Terminator begins its reign of terror covertly by building bombs to set off in public areas, shoot at people from atop buildings. Robocop and the Detroit PD are doing their best to extinguish this reign of terror, but The Terminator is one step ahead. The media is beginning to plant a seed of doubt that with the recent crime wave, Robocop may be an obsolete machine. There have been many civilian casualties in just the few days it's been since The Terminator was deployed in Detroit. The ending sees the two machines face off against eachother in a climactic fight for the ages. The Terminator has the upper hand throughout the fight, nearly destroying Robocop, but Alex Murph has a flashback of his wife and son, his human side is taking over. Robocop makes one valiant stand and is able to destroy The Terminator, but in the process lost auxiliary power. Robocop won the fight, but Cyberdine won the war. The Terminator's reign of terror created enough public doubt in Robocop and OCP. Cyberdine has been awarded a coveted government contract to produce a fleet of T-800's so that no human life has to be lost in the line of duty. OCP will no longer be providing the military with weaponry, Cyberdine is now outfitting the military with T-800's and other machines (pre Skynet). Robocop is locked in a vault at OCP headquarters unlikely to ever be fully repaired after the fight with The Terminator. Two companies vying for the future of robotics while two machines decide the fate of humanity. Robocop vs Terminator
