How to attract a crested gecko

- This male crested gecko is 6 years old. He loves to explore so I often let him out of his cage to roam. When it's time for him to go back in his cage but he's near the ceiling where I can't reach him, I call him back down by scratching on the wall. He is attracted to the sound, possibly because it sounds like an insect (prey). This trick works for this particular gecko every time!
This gecko is the brother of the male gecko who bites and sings to my hand in the other videos. - Животные
Human: "scritch scritch"
Gecko: "im interested"
I did this the other day, my crestie got behind his tank, out of my reach, and I wiggled my fingers, he came right out!
Thank you for sharing!!! Every gecko owners worst fear right there. Genius how you figured this out!!!
It's because it sounds like another gecko 😂 it's so useful expect when the males bite you
Sometimes he runs behind book shelves and gets dust bunnies on his face. If I wait long enough, he eventually comes out, though.
This gecko bites me only when he's angry. The more I let him out for exercise, the less angry and more trusting he is.
@@treebiscuitgecko my male only bites when he's in the mood to breed that why they come to the scratching because it's a male calling for a female and they'll fight or it's a female calling for a male to breed
Your worst fear for your pet lizard is that they'll be temporarily out of reach?
Man, that's some relaxing fear you've got there.
My male does this because it sounds like another gecko so I took advantage and trained him to target spots
Could you elaborate on training? Was it similar to dog training where you give him a treat whenever he goes to the location of the scratching sound?
This is so freaking adorable, how did she get up there? 😂😂
This particular guy likes to explore so I let him out every few days. He likes to run just under the ceiling. Sometimes he goes behind a book shelf, but he always comes back out. He also enjoys watching me when I'm cooking!
Treebiscuit Gecko precious baby I’ll always keep him in my heart

This is going to get recommended to everyone.
A much better looking Gecko than the ones I have had to hunt and see...
Granted those are highly radioactive, aggressive and walks on two legs, you really got to shoot them quick before they try to kill and possibly eat you.
Im sad that not a lot of people got this reference😓
Letting a crested gecko roam is a lot more interesting than letting a leopard gecko roam for sure.
I wouldn't say so since you need to actively prevent them from walking off ledges hahaha
human: scratches fingers
smol gecko boi:
i’m interested
He is so cute! I love your gecko.
SO CUTE
Cute💛
Why did I read “how to ATTACK a crested gecko” first? 😭
Cool... I will have to try with mine. She is a little heavy for her length (no tail) and has some fat rolls going on🤦🏼♀️. Looks like a good way for her to get some more exercise if she will respond to the scratching!
its been a year since you commented this, how the lil baby doing? :3
@@kawaiibunnii9337 still chunky! But the vet said not unhealthy
@@daniellerigby4157 aww great im so happy your both doing well :)
Hopefully it doesn't think your fingers are food lol
which way is up in this video
Yo what kind of dog breed is that?
I believe this is a scaly insectivorous “wall” dog
How do you get him/her back in the enclosure afterward?
Sometimes he comes when I scratch the wall, sometimes he falls off the wall and I pick him off the floor, sometimes I have to get a step ladder and pick him off the wall.
How does your crested gecko stuck to walls mine doesnt even stick to the sides of he tank
That's odd. Cresties stick well to most surfaces unless they have stuck shed or other material (such as old food) on their toes.
thats weird?
@@kawaiibunnii9337 Crested geckos are indeed weird.
@@treebiscuitgecko no haha i meant its weird his gec doesnt stick cause thats really all they do lmao i have 2
when the surface is wet glass it doesnt work bc the water gets between the surface and the gecko feet ...if its not, you should probably look at those feet stuck shed and food yeah could be the problem
My crested gecko doesn’t climb walls :(
my gecko can’t climb walls wtf
What kind of gecko?
@@beardlessdragon crested gecko , like that one
@@beanaaa63 probably has dirty feet you can try cleaning them with lukewarm water and ear swabs
