You know what, pulling the bed out and watching the weather fronts come and go was really relaxing. Doesn’t make great RUclips footage but we didn’t have a lot of choice 😁
We spent the night (Monday) on the North Kent coast we had to park with the van backed into the wind with the pop top down due to the wind being 50mph plus ! By far the windiest night we’ve had in it so far, the van was covered in sand in the morning and blobs of sea foam, loved it though 👍🏻🇬🇧
New subscriber enjoying videos. just part exed our 7.5m motorhome for a t6 vw that we got Friday wondered if we had done the right thing ..still in the peak disrict loving the freedom we have with the smaller van and so much easier to visit places .😊
Thanks for joining us 🤩 WOW! That’ll take some getting used to 😄😄 but, the ease of driving to your destination, having more choice in smaller pitches or rustic campsites often makes a smaller van, the better choice. It’s when the weather turns bad, that you’ll miss the larger van but hopefully, we’ll get a great summer and it’ll all make sense ☀️
We feel your pain! We're visiting Shetland in our T6, where it can be quite wet and always windy, but the past few weeks here have been just another level! Still can't beat being away in the van though - whatever the weather - love it! Great video!
That was great, much better to be out there with gorgeous scenery and chips, than trapped indoors, watching rubbish tv 😉 Lovely pics of the animals too and how sweet to have your doggy nestled in between you. (Just a pity it was a 2-2 draw!)
New to your channel, brilliant, love Jack, bless him, likes his comfort. We camped in East Dorset and got away with it, kept the roof up. Storm Kathleen was windy, but not as bad and no rain.😄🚐
Thank you 🙏🏼 Yeh Jack definitely isn’t a northerner but we’re working on toughening him up 😄😄 The winds act very differently in the mountains so we brought the roof down plus, prince Jack doesn’t like the noise 🙄
@@Professionalmoochers we live in the south, but I'm a Geordie!!! I did live on the Wirral for over 20 years 😀. Our German Short Haired Pointer is southern born, and if he could would love to get on the furniture in our campervan, but he's not allowed 😀🚐 Must catch up on your back catalogue. 😍
We were away too at mablethorpe Friday and Saturday, toilet tent lasted till Saturday afternoon then the hoolie came. Battern the hatches down came to mind haha. Laughing at your adventures @roratheexplorer John
It’s been windy on all my hikes over the last 6 month fed up with it, always nice during the week though, hoping you are all well. NC500 for us in a couple of week. Jack looks cool and settled 👌👍
Hi enjoying your vids. You seem to find plenty of good sites to visit, as I have recently finished my campervan ( haven't used yet) do you prebook your sites or just turn up and hope there's room for you as most sites I've looked at seem to be already booked. Thanks-Tony. Look forward to watching more of your videos.
No we brought it down as it got dark on the first night. Despite the forecast, especially amongst mountains, you never know what’s coming your way. They are pretty sturdy but if it’s getting above 40mph it’s always best to bring it down. Much quieter too.
We brought it down on the first night. Mainly for a quiet night sleep but when you’re amongst the mountains, you can’t rely on the forecast so played it safe too 👍🏼
Hard core is the way. We were out in it as well. 🤡 Foolishly we decided to climb the Old Man of Storr in it. 🤪🤪🤪 Did around 50 yds on our hands and knees at one point 🫣
I don't mind what the weather is doing, the feeling of just sitting there and enjoying it is the best!

Seems every trip for you guys at the moment. Better weather for you guys soon hopefully
😄😄 I know!
We’ve all had a shocking start to the year, weather wise so hopefully that means, we’re due a good summer 🤞🏼

Shetland? I bet it’s lively up there but what a landscape to explore!!
Enjoy 👌🏼

100%! Open the blinds and the outdoors is your tv 😁

Your videos are never non eventful! I love the scenes and the sky and the animals. Brilliant! Thank you 💚 Hurry back, please.
You’re too kind 🤩
How I love you two..you always keep it real. ❤
You certainly can’t sugar coat a lazy weekend can you 😄
Really liked this, inspiring and some really nice photos! Thanks!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's a rough looking weekend. Great way to clear the campsite though. So, not all bad!
Id take a storm over a crowd any day 😉
Not great for outdoor cooking though!
What a dog , love watching him
You can have him!! 😄😄
I love seeing you do nothing.
This is real van life 😊
Good job, as we did bugger all 😄😄
Can always rely on the Old Keswickian to come to the rescue. We were up on High Raise that weekend, was scary that wind. Nice one moochers!
Bet it woke you up though 💪🏼
Old keswickian is the forever faithful 😄
Brilliant video as always both. That storm kicked our butts!
Aww the beautiful lakes. The Loch here was like the Derwent full of waves ❤x
Thanks 😁
Yeah it gets pretty lively up there but a lot like the lakes, always worth it 😍

You’re not wrong! Feels like every time we go away, the weather is sent to test us 😏
Did the same last weekend, got fed up of waiting for better weather to come 😂
You’ll be waiting all year 😁

We normally prebook, normally a week or two beforehand.
Winter is easier to arrive on the day without booking 👍🏼
Had a similar experience on the Isle of Arran with Kathleen…our camper was battered 😂
Oooof I bet it was brisk over there!
Arran is on our hit list 👌🏼
Did you have the pop up all night. We have a California and never know what it can take

I've stopped at Castlerigg farm during a storm and its very high up , my van was shaking all night ..
Oh yeh, it gets a bit lively up there!
Worth it for the views though 👌🏼
At least the weather has improved unlike Liverpool’s performances on the pitch 😂😉
I’m just busy looking for the BLOCK button 😂

How’s the roof holding with that wind mate?

Suppose you’re right as wind like that can’t risk it.
Kudos 🙌🏽
Lightweight on the beer this week. I hope you're not in for another bout of Man Flu!
😄😄 drinking inside just doesn’t have the same vibe as drinking outside

Great video, weathered the storm well with peroni red, pasta, fish n chips haha loved it tc x
Regardless of the weather, you got to have all the essentials included 😉🍻
