This was a great moment in television history. Kudos to the producers, directors, writers, Code Black cast, CBS, crew/executives, and the cast of The Lion King. Thank you!
Absolutely. It was such a beautiful scene and this show isn't so well known yet and I wanted to share it with others. I originally put the explain action if the scene in the description, but I see there was an error and it didn't post. I'll have to see if I can add that in.
I saw the actual episode, and immediately realized this was epic television history. Thanks again Sarah for allowing me to share your upload with others.
+OnTelevision This scene is so emotional that it makes me cry even after I have seen it over 10 times. I loved that the producers brought in the cast of the Lion King into the series
This episode and this show itself is highly UNDER RATED... it's not getting the praise it deserves!!! Couldn't stop crying even when I've watched this a couple of times...
I couldn't help but cry my eyes out when I watched this. This scene was just one of the most beautiful scenes in tv that I have seen in ages. This was the scene that made me realize this is going to be one of my most fave shows. I hope it becomes more well known AND is able to keep going.
Cried like crazy when I first saw this on television and even now when I watch this again tears keep coming... Best episode of the series I´ve seen so far (we are at episode 11 now here in Belgium)
OMG thank you for posting this!!! I was looking for it after seeing the episode on tv and I got chills when I saw it and wanted to experience that again so badly
This is the best scene I saw ever in my life, I love this song, always touch me but this scene makes me cry and cry for half hour maybe, its just beautiful! (Sorry for my bad english )
I have only recently discovered Code Black...Loving the show but this was above extraordinary. Knew there would be a link up with the characters I just couldn't work it out until the last moments. No further words necessary...
#79 so hard not to Cry 😭😭 this was one of the most heartbreaking scenes in code black altho this was one of my fav eps seeing the cast of lion king 🦁👑 at least his father went peacefully I miss code black I wish they brought it back 😭
What always made this scene so powerful to me is the fact that it forces you to really listen to the lyrics of a song that the majority of us have heard possibly hundreds of times but never really thought deeply about. As the machines are being switched off the song makes you feel like this man is being sung into the heavens, to a place where pain and sorrow no longer exist where he can be at peace for all of eternity. The second the man slips away and we hear the words "he lives in you" with the camera fixed on his heartbroken son, it completely changes the meaning of the song in a split second and reminds us all that the people we love dont ever really die, they live on inside of us as we live on inside of the loved ones we will all eventually leave behind. This scene is nothing short of a masterpiece 👏
rebel hatter its called 'He Lives in You', from the Lion King (both the movie and the musical). it's sung after Mufasa's death, but a major part of the emotion in the song is because, before Mufasa died, he sang a song to Simba called 'They Live in You' about the gods and their spirituality. 'He Lives in You' is sung by Rafiki, the insightful baboon who is a leader-type role in Simba's life. hope this helped!!😊😊
