    I got one and it works very well. I keep comparing the expressos from this machine with the espresso from coffee shops and this one make really good espressos, better than other commercial machines.

    Also a couple more tips for everyone, always start from 100% cold milk in the jugs, never reheat the already heated milk as it spoils the flavour. If you accidentally overheat or scald the milk, throw it out and start again with 100% fresh cold milk (don't top up with a bit of cold) scalded milk will not only give your coffee a burnt taste the milk itself won't froth properly. 😋 if the steam wand does get a bit clogged or more the issue we had was milk burning onto the spout after making many successive coffees, we used to soak the tip in a jug of boiling water and that was sufficient just then purge it and give it a wipe down afterwards.

    Excellent video. I had grave fears - I think the online 'manual' should have live links to these demonstrations. I had so many experts telling me how to hold the jug - bugger that, it's all automatic and works just like this video promises. I am quickly becoming convinced.

    Just unpacked my oracle after using a pro coffee machine for years, WOW it was the best coffee with Almond milk I’d ever tried.

      I'm having a little trouble with my almond milk. Big frothy bubbles and a watery feel in the coffee. MilkLab brand. It's the only brand I've found that actually tastes good in the coffee. I will have to try the manual steaming.

    I upgraded from Breville's Barista Express 870. I am getting a good drink with the setting of (US Fahrenheit) 145-150 and 2 clicks from the top in the Cappu/Latte scale. Once in a while, if you're in the mood for a special thrill, the top coffee shops here in NYC still make a thicker product, but I love my Oracle coffee, and my friends and clients do too. (small recording studio, where coffee is essential, and latte is even better!)

    I really like the fact that it's built with the thermometer, but I still not convinced with the auto tamping and milk texturing, and the wand doesn't look that easy to clean in a long run. Anyway I also like that it has more manual options that can be adjusted than the Barista Express and double boiler as the Breville Dual

      Hopefuly you didn't buy one as 6 years later it is good for garbage. Actually the pump failed within 2 years, and the machine has been very badly performing after no more than 4 years only even with maintenance. It's got to be the worst steam wand I ever used. Get urself a real machine like a Rocket instead with no automatick gimmick.

  • @MrHomerjay105
    @MrHomerjay105 7 лет назад +5

    I'm positive that with the Oracle and dual boiler you cannot get a good texture. Even in this video, he couldn't get it right. Breville have stuffed up big time but keep selling the units.

    • @PanzerIV88
      @PanzerIV88 4 года назад +2

      This steam wand cannot create any FOAM at all, it's a total joke and is super weak. If that guy who's a pro can't do it, don't even think you'll do it at home as you say. The "Texture setting" is total gimmick and makes no difference at all and even at maximum cappucino setting there's so little foam I could call it a latte. Nobody should ever buy these fake espresso machines, it's way overpriced for what it is "6 years experience".

  • @douglasamarfio256
    @douglasamarfio256 8 лет назад +5

    The cappuccino setting produces a Latte texture, as demonstrated by Phil.

    • @PanzerIV88
      @PanzerIV88 4 года назад

      Yeah like serious wtf, you put this machine on maximum cappucino setting and it still produce a latte texture and is totally unable to create any sort of foam for a real capp. The only way I could get to make more foam was to go into manual mode and use the correct height/angle myself, otherwise don't even think about it!

  • @evelyncovita274

    I'm really upset. My espresso machine fresh out of the box won't do what it's supposed to. It won't reach the temperature it needs to in order to work. As I opened it Christmas Eve, I have to wait for the shops to open so I can take it back. One assumes that after you spend over 2 G on a product, the least it could do is work.
    Never, ever buying Breville again!

    • @RhaneeWilkinson

      It may be due to your electrical outlet isn't providing enough power, might need a new outlet installed.

      We figured it out and it worked wonderfully for about 11 months. The grinder went. After initially being blamed for using old beans by an unhelpful customer service representative. The second customer service representative was lovely and very helpful. However, Breville does not have any contractors that go to your place outside of Sydney. Sooo.... I had to pack the machine in its box (luckily I still had it) and had it picked up. After about 1 1/2 weeks I got it back. The grinder still sounds a little off but it is back to producing the coffees I love.

    • @PanzerIV88
      @PanzerIV88 4 года назад

      @@evelyncovita274 Thing is and why no one should ever buy a Breville machine is that they put garbage grinders into their machine. Even on the Oracle which my mom have, it's nothing more than a 1250$CAD (The Dual Boiler) with a cheap 100$ grinder built-in then sold for 2500$CAD which is total rip off. Even just (Breville Smart Grinder) at 225$ is still way better than the piece of sh*t they put in the super expensive Oracle. The automatic tamping and leveling is all messy and compacts way too hard even at minimum force of 1. Worst investment ever, and glad I bought something else for my home (Rocket R58) with a seperate (Rocket Fausto) grinder which is 1000x better.
      Oh and I never had any customer service worse than the one I got with Breville to attempt getting my machine repaired, and still have to pay 350$ and ship it myself then wait 3-4 weeks to get something that may just work a bit better but will still be average.

    I had one for four years, and today Harvey Norman replaced it under customer care (so I am experienced with it). The new one doesn't texture the milk despite wasting few litres of different milk brands, even though I have changed the replacement nozzle. I will take it back tomorrow. Very disappointed.

      Yeah like wtf he recommend to fill the whole jug but it's wayyyy too much unless you're doing a coffee for 4 persons using the same jug?! A latte cup is 280ml and a double espresso 60ml so you don't want 350ml of milk into ur drink! I put milk at the bottom of the "nose" and it's way enough for 2 small cups. Otherwise I guess you have to waste a good part of milk so you don't overfill? Makes no sense.

    Need some help with steamer. It stopped creating texture. I cleaned and have always kept it clean. The two orange rubber things look good and I changed them with new ones, just in case. Nothing I'm doing makes a difference. I need help. I want my steamer back.

    • @PanzerIV88
      @PanzerIV88 4 года назад

      Same here, that garbage overpriced machine stopped making texture and have low pressure compare to my 100x better (Rocket R58) machine. Now Breville wants me to pay 350$ to "repair" their POS which I bet will still suck after. All those "automated" things are gimmick. That wand is horrible for creating cappucinos, there's no foam at all and it only gets a bit better when you go in manual mode as you can at least control the amount of air injected by having the correct height instead of heating the bottom of the jug.
