One thing I like about your videos is that your B-roll is footage you took yourself rather than stock videos or photographs. I would watch your videos regardless, since they are always useful and interesting, but the B-roll detail makes them extra special. ❤

Something that worked for me for decades was focusing deeply on a problem I could not solve for 5-15 minutes before going to bed, then relaxing and going to sleep without further thoughts about the problem. First thing in the morning upon waking, I sat at my desk and invariably I know the solution and must write it down rapidly while I remember it. -> a variation is that sometimes I wake in the middle of the night with the solution obvious but must immediately write it down before it disappears. -> this works with academic and personal and financial and other problems. It’s like having a secret solution machine in my head. I just convocated with my PhD 2 years ago. I am now 75 years old. I learned this 60 years ago. It has been my secret sauce for life!

Thank you so much for sharing! I really appreciate your approach and acknowledgement of different things working for different people. Too often study-tips and work-flow themed content creators fall back into a rather fixed, often blueprint-like narrative of what is productivity and efficient work. Your videos are thus quite refreshing!!! ☺️🙌🏻

That is a very good explanation of the different options you use for learning.
Could you make a video of a detailed step by step approach on how you learn a new subject

Hi, I have been following your channel since the COVID time :D Great content by the way! I was hoping that if you could also make a short video about how we can apply for PhD in Computational Neuroscience at Donders Institute, I think it will help a lot of people who are interested in this program. Thanks
