Great score! Those stickers with the names on them came with the collector cases back in the day.

That's what I thought because I had the Darth Vader case and it came with all the stickers. It really made kids want to collect them all.

The black figure in blue is a Bespin security guard, then the white dude with the mustache is also. Yes, they belong in the group. ;-)

Thank you, I appreciate the comment and thank you for watching my video. I found out about this collection around six months ago, and i've been waiting patiently to get it. I don't know if you saw my other video, but I just picked up another batch from the same guy. I used to have all of these also when I was a kid.
I've been slowly collecting my Star Wars all over again.
Wish I would have had all the original stuff, however.

Nice pick up. The early bird consisted of Luke, Leia, R2, and Chewbacca. The ones you kept referring to later series, are Return of the Jedi era - all vintage. These figures are my focus, so if you have more questions, lmk!

I was almost 16 when I finally got to go see Stars Wars in 77. Loved the first two movies. The toys were delayed because Lucas owned the rights to all merchandising. I guess several earlier movies had toys made. They all flopped toy wise. Only Planet of the Apes skyrocketed like the movies did. Lucas main guy approached the president of Mattel Toys. In the lobby of his hotel in NYC. Because he just missed the YC Toy fair. He blew the guy off like he was a fan boy. Biggest idiot movie in the history of toy makers by being a snobby jerk. So, Lucas's guy set up a meeting with Kenner Toys they jumped on it. But because the deal took so long the toys weren't ready at X-Mas time. kids got IOUs from Kenner toys. So, when they arrived at stores, they could walk in pick up their toys and show it at the registers. My favorite Star Wars products from 77-83. Were the movie posters, Skywalker jacket from Empire Strikes Back. And the Star Wars club only poster for Revenge of the Jedi. They were recalled I used to have three back in 82. They were recalled because of the huge mistake. The word Revenge instead of Return. Jedis never seek Revenge. I sold each one in 83 for like $500 each. My jacket was stolen at my drycleaner too. The three portfolios were beautiful too. I bought the first two at my local bookstores at the mall. I never saw the third one ever until like 1995. I wish I still had those. They also had Star Wars blueprints in a package too. Of every ship, light sabers, etc too. Probably of R2D2 and C3PO too in those. Conrads those original figures if in great condition can rake in craze money. Especially obscure figures or ones that were never seen in the final movies too. Or ones that had mistakes when they were manufactured at the toy factory.

Hey that's great I truly value all that fantastic information you provided that is just incredible I heard about a few of those stories that you mentioned but some of those I did not know. I was about 6 years old when I went to see Star Wars maybe maybe eight and it was the most fantastic thing I ever experienced I will always remember the Death Star coming out in the first scene and the whole movie theater rattled and it felt like it was coming out over top of me ever since then I was hooked and I'm still hooked to this day and I am 55 years old.
Thank you very much once again and hopefully you continue to watch my videos and hopefully you subscribed also.

@@brucetaylor478 There's a program on the History Channel or Discovery. Toys that built America . They did one on the Star Wars story. It shows how stupid and arrogant Mattel's CEO was. It might be On Demand on the History channel if you care to check it out.

    Telescoping R2D2

  • @cyrusq5999

The sink or float tests mean nothing; as the reproduction weapons are getting better and better. Soon, they'll be indistinguishable from the originals.
Nice score! The three double-telescoping figures (Ben, Luke, and Vader) are the most valuable in this collection. You got VERY lucky.
The 2-1B medical droid figure isn't really valuable. Had him in 1982. A weird figure with the plastic see-through midriff.
