One is installed in SBI Nasik Branch and the second at SBI Thrissur. The later 2 were installed by me and my team somewhere 21 years back. This is very small one and the ones we installed processed some where 600 cheques per minute are processed.
CTS is Cheque Truncation System where cheques for various banks presented will be cleared and the funds will be transferred to the depositors account. Suppose you are having account in Indian Bank and a person issues a SBI cheque to your name... You go directly to Indian Bank in which your account is maintained and you deposit the SBI cheque. At the end of the day bank will collect all the cheques received in this manner and they send it to the respective service branch hub. Those hub will debit the amount from SBI and credit to your Indian Bank account. This process once was done manually with all your cheques sent physically to clearing hub. Now this process has become digital and the video which you are seeing at the top is the process of scanning the cheque and sending the soft copies to clearing hub. So the transportation process is eliminated. This process will take max 2 days time.. Neft is much simpler compared to the above... Neft is electronic fund transfer where you directly transfer funds through online process entering the beneficiary account number and IFSC code and the beneficiary gets the amount credited within 2 hrs.

@@zahidulhasan7014 All the branches are doing the same at the same time which puts the CTS server under immense pressure. This results in slow scanning or even worse not detecting the cheque in the machine. So one has to keep repeating the process unless all the cheques are properly scanned.

That's why RBI is implementing morning 10AM to evening 6PM Business hours alongwith 5 days week from 1st April,2024! Moreover no New Bank Branches will be opened! Instead the Banking will be operated on franchisee basis like Post Office operating system!😊
Engineers used to do all calculations without a computer. Engineers are asking for more money even after they got computers & most of the analysis is done by computers 😂

If you are a bank employee and you are showing/shooting your work,you are showing how careless you are! as in the last,you have shown the instrument (cheque) with pinned slip. In fact,while scanning,the pay-in-slips are to be separated and pins/stapler pins are to be removed. Please do not make such misleading videos. (Last but not the least,you may face enquiry from your bank for breach of secrecy.)

Sir maine 28 tarik ka sbi cheque diya tha. 29 and 30 holiday hai. Phirbhi clearing ka messege aake bounced ho gaya. Please how is this?

This is cheque clearing machine. Now Bank send scanned image of cheques to each other, thats why cheques clear on T+1 day instead of T+3 days
