so, this is the first time I've heard of this idea. but, based on other videos i've been watching recently, and conversations that have come up around my own break up - not about it, just tangentially related to it - i think you have hit on a point you haven't quite realized you landed on yet. women are finding it harder to find a partner because men are still expecting the old rules to apply despite the fact that women are moving into a new social arena. women are still expecting the benefits of the past even though the social arena has been changing, as they have been asking for it to change. the more educated and financially self sufficient and stable a woman is, the harder it is to find a partner - in general, but especially that meets these old school rules. women have gotten tired of being single - newly or perpetually - but are refusing to fall into the trad wife situation because they are cognizant of how that has harmed them in the past, but still want the high earning man. often that means white men. there is some internalized racism at play in choice of wigs, but in that they find "a glow up" with the type of wig they choose, they are getting the lifestyle they want - with or without love (securing the bag) and then . . . based on the logic you are presenting, and I've extrapolated further from, recreating the situation they were trying to get out of because a loveless marriage is likely to end in disaster. friendship is a must, romance would be great. regrets and disappointments hurt everyone. to your point - find the love, then worry about the rest. if your pool gets smaller, or changes color, or nationality . . . ok. i have significantly longer thoughts on this, but i'll stop here. this is just what i hear underlying your considerations.
