2019 who misses this game
last multiplayer fps i've played i think. Not counting CS because i've been playing it for 20 years. Definately on my top3 multi games of all time.

@PyschoX213 If you jump from the top roof of Skyline the blast radius is massive and it 1shots people, the damage and radius grow exponentially as you fall, if you stand on the same level as someone and jump/stomp back onto that same plane you have to land right ontop of them to even do damage.
Its fun but very situational, but it might be a lot more powerful once the tier2/3 effects of stomp actually work.

Something about this multiplayer has really stuck with me throughout the years. The traversing feels amazing. Also it looks better than 2020’s COD Cold War

Everything about this multiplayer was awesome! Teammate callouts, killstreak perks, customizable loadouts, unlockable abilities and the fact that your character did not feel less powerful compared to single-player. I miss it a lot

This video bears a very genuine yet weird nostalgia with me. I remember
playing Crysis 2 a lot back in 2011 when I was 14 years old. Already
back then I felt like something was off. Crysis 2 seemed like a dead
game. Queue times were very long and only very few were high ranks and
only exceedingly rarely did you see anybody who had rebooted
(prestiged). I was one of the few. So it felt like a solitary journey
being in love with this game. Like you were in some exclusive club that
only very few knew about. I couldn't help but wonder why no more people
played it. It seemed like such a good game to me with this integration
of different nano-suit abilities in your gameplay (as beautifully
displayed here). Also it had this ambient atmosphere that I can't really
explain. It might not show from this gameplay but when you've played
the campaign and walked the biohazardous and apocalyptic New York thin,
the atmosphere kinda transfers over. Atleast it did for me. And I
suppose this atmosphere was further reinforced exactly because I had this
feeling of crysis being a dead game with only an "exclusive few"
playing it. So yes, this video definitely bears strong nostalgia with
me.

it hurts brother... same here. Back on days where things were right and easy, i played this game when i was 13-14 and now the only thing left is a good memory with me, some friends, a smile and a joystick.
It was just amazing.
That's because COD has overshadowed every first person game for the last decade. Crysis 2 multiplayer definitely offered a different experience though. That cloak was really a novelty that other first person shooter games didn't have at the time.

This game did a lot of unique things for the first time that eventually made their way into most shooters. Kill confirmed as a mode I believe was first done with Crysis 2 multi. COD MW3 original had it too, but it came out later in the year in 2011, where Crysis 2 came out March 2011. The concept of sliding out of a sprint in an FPS, vaulting/climbing on edges for cover, ground stomping down from a jump (in an FPS)... People called it a COD clone but it really had its own unique feel and take. I played Crysis 2 multi the most out of all the Crysis games. it was something special.

Good gameplay. I loved this game. I wonder if people still play it online. I want to max it out at 4k 120 with a 3080 and go down memory lane. When I quit I had an overall KDR of over 3.0. At that point almost every game I would have 10 to 30 kills and 0 to 3 deaths.
Revisiting this video after several years... I almost had forgotten why Sacriel was one of the Crysis2 Gods! Brilliant tactics and superb suit management!!! Still world-class!!!

I can still remember playing Crysis2 for hours on end on my shit PC that only could produce around 15-25 FPS.
That is my main excuse for not getting really good as you Sacriel. But looking again on your videos makes me realize that even with a kick ass PC I would never come close to your skill. The way you move around the map in this video clearly shows why you totally kick ass. If you never have played Crysis2 and Crysis3, the movements/maneuvering looks really odd. But you show that you were the true master of Crysis2 suit management! You always have power left for cloak or armour. And the fact that you don't reload until it's necessary shows us that u are a pro player. I constantly reload and that gets me killed unnecessary at least 5 times each round of Crysis3.
So, I tip my hat to you Sacriel for being the pro player most of us never will become!

According to another youtube video as of march of this year apparently the multiplayer isn't dead. My ps3 broke but I would buy another if I could play this mp again.

Yea I was speaking about ps3. Sucks pc is dead though. But I loved it on ps3 had a lot of games equally or more impressive than the video above.
@BorecLedoborec I dont play any map more than any other really, at the moment I find myself sniping the majority of time but if i go CQB I use the silenced Marshall shotgun.
Im finding the lag very unreliable at the moment, almost every single game the server freezes and everyone stands still for 10 seconds, and point blank shotgun shots dont register so thats why im sniping a lot.
Man I miss this game. Used to destroy lobbies back in the day.

I'll always favor the Marines over CELL in any of these face offs. That being said? CELL clearly had the cooler looking Nanosuits.

Excellent use of the Nano-suit! This really shows off how much easier to use and more effective the Nano-suit 2.0 is compared to the original back in Crysis 1. I really don't know where all of these complaints are coming from about Crysis 2 being "consolized".

@Ubermannified Yeah, after i punched the hologram i did a quick 360 to find its owner then bolted off the roof incase he had his sights on me - ironically if u watch, when i land im presented two targets, i shoot the right hand one and its another hologram, luckily i armor up in time and take on the left hand guy.
i have to admit this guy has some really good tactics
Can't believe I missed out on this aspect of the game.
@PyschoX213 Im finding the stomps much too situational, from the same plane if u highjump into a stomp you must land on top of the opponent to kill them or its a guaranteed death because of the delay. 90% of face to face fights are fought in armor mode, stomps are only an option in maybe 1 in 10 kills so enhanced armor will win over it for me in the retail. It seems to me that you only get stomps if you specifically go out looking for them.
@uum6 Thanks, i used to play Crysis 1 from the beta through to release, the only thing i miss is being able to doubletap keys to shift between armor modes eg. crouch crouch was stealth, forward-forward was speed and so on. The other thing I miss is having a permanent powermode that made u able to punch people accross rooms, that made for fun times.
@Nantua99 Wow, i hadn't noticed that occurred - I guess so, I know someone who works at Crytek I will ask them. I know there is a module you can upgrade to in the full game which does this, maybe they applied it to everyone by accident.
@monkeypunk956 You must be in stealth and behind an enemy, your crosshair will become a Pentagon shape, if you hold down your melee button you will charge over and break their neck.
@Kelvinchew08 Well Itachi-Sama, I dont run any faster than you, it just looks like I run fast because I use a high field of view, because the edges of my screen have stretched vision it makes movement look much faster than it is, try covering the sides of the video with your hands and watch 4:33 - the sprint 'seems' much slower without the high fov.

@GoodManPlaying I never noticed that before, looked like a bugged reload, it took the normal amount of time - if you look closely my gun flicks up and down, then 2 seconds later my bullet count goes up. Eagle eyes you have.

I have been playing crysis 3 (MP 99% of the time) for a few weeks now. I bought the game in 2014, played it a lot on my shitty laptop and than quitted it until the recent Covid lockdowns. I originally bought it because I started to play crysis 2 MP only a few weeks before the servers were shutted down, it was my first ever multiplayer fps experience ever and I really didn't wanna let it go. This map, Skyline, was my favorite Crysis 2 multiplayer map, and I still love it in C3, even with the new "jungly" look. Seeing the original version of the map now after 6 years, with its beautiful white walls, the green plants and the Sun shining in the sky hits me sooo hard in the feels. I miss that so much. If I could go back to those days just once to play one last Team Deathmatch in Skyline I would do it without hesitation, even knowing I sucked at the game and would probably score a 5-20, even if my life was a mess back then... I would love to go back.

ps3 on the otherhand produces superior exclusives like god of war 3, mgs4, socom, demon souls, uncharted 1-3, killzone's 2 -3, gran tourismo and starhawk/warhawk.
its free to play online and the service performs indentically to xbox live, except it's free... lol a proper internet browser capable of streaming movies and tv online... unlike xbox where they removed the ability for the users to do that... because of copyright crap. sorry but xbox simpley offers nothing ( apart from gear's)
fuck xbox. they break easily the internet browser is limited ( no streaming) you have to pay to go online... like 3 exclusives halo ,gears and forza....
whereas ps3 you can stream anthing on tv or any movie via the internet browser, got tons of exclusives

okay, what the hell happened at 7:33? the only thing I can think of is that you realized the guy you were trying to melee was a hologram, so you turned around and blasted right behind you, but how did you even see him cloaked? i've watched that part like ten times and i can't even see him. scratch that, i watched it again and finally saw the shimmer. jesus christ, how do you see these guys cloaked and hit them without nanovision?
why tho ? they break easily there loud , the browser is capped so you cant stream movies couertesy of microsoft... you have to pay to play online.. theres millions of annoying kids on every game on xbox, the only exclusive games are halo, gears of war and forza... im not sure i see any point in owning an xbox apart from waisting money on something you can get for free

well duh... why exatly do you think you have nano vision in the first place ? the only difference between spotting someone cloaked with nano vision is that they dont show up as a bright red instead they show up in a lighter blue shade
Very nice Gameplay! I play it on ps3 and im actually not bad at this game, but u get beaten by fuckin meleespammers who just jump around because they can t shoot.
Question: Is it really possible to see cloaked ppl with nanovision?
Crysis 2 is prime example of PC gaming superiority over inferior shit outdated confails. Face it already, and sell this crap on ebay already. High end PC parts are cheap as never now, with crazy Phenom II 965 and also crazy cheap ram modules.
@theriz15 when ur "invisible" ur not really invisible u are just bending light so its harder for someone to see u ..u are still a solid object and like all objects they tend to cast shadows where light is absent
I so miss playing this, shame that it won't let me stay connected at all during any MP game... pre-ordered it even and I can't get it to work right after lots of game time actually working... Odd.
There consoles + There meant to be used for gaming who cares what it is and all as long as your playing the game you don't need to worry about nothing is his life and he likes what he wants.
Ps Move ? you mean PS move you need to buy 2 of the PS moves so you can play with friends and in order to move around you need that sense-analog thing that will also cost you more money
