Yes, college and university level you can retry but Pre-RD its only one chance. Once you have attended Pre -RDC and you were not selected, the next time you are not eligible to attend Pre-RDC.

They don't really take weight measurements during selection. Weight criteria is kept just to ensure that you are fit enough for that rigorous training and practice. If you are little overweight it may cause you problem while running where you can get negetive points. If your weight is little more but you can do all tasks and good in culturals thn you have fair chance of getting selected. Just be fit and practice.
In interview they do not check your knowledge, wo bas apki personality aur communication dekhte he. Jo bhi bolo confidently bolo. Rest interview me apko badic Current affairs/ GK puchenge apne district or state ke bare me and NSS song, NSS related questions puchenge

Yes.... The selection process is different but the NCC, the NSS everyone is marching on the Rajpath with attending 30days of camp. So both the RDC certificate value the same

Jai Hind Mam. As a NSS Volunteer myself I would assure you that there will be all necessary facilities for your ward at the camp. And RDC/ Pre-RDC are one of the most prestigious camps so there's nothing to worry about in these camps. Traveling is also safe as volunteers are accompanied by a Contingent Leader. So if its in other state also I would say don't worry at all.
Haan there's no issues for spects, the thing is it should not be a problem to you in your activities. And if you get selected for final parade you have to remove it while marching.

Brother its nothing about completing NCC, NSS is a whole different organization to get into RDC you have to get into NSS and go step by step. Your NCC C certificate will not get you a RD selection from NSS.
No there is no such division on basis of Cultural and Marching but out of 200 only 100 (50-50) gets selected for Marching. But in culturals Marching students can also be a part.

Physical fitness, parade and Culturals wld be checked. Idk about the interview in state level. Some states go for it some dont its all by seeing the availability of time.

For the selection you can go for any cultural performance. But it would be better if you go for Maharashtrian folk dance because when you go into RDC you will be representing Maharashtra and you in your group will be expected to dance Maharashtra's dance. So prepare accordingly. Good Luck
If you are a student volunteer in any of the Indian Universities you can be a part of NSS RD parade. But in general graduation and post graduation students get into NSS so its 18-25 but there's no max age bar

You can use any shoe for your selection at university or state level, its upto your comfort. But make sure you have proper shoes as mentioned in your selection letter of Pre-RD. And they will see the parade and your performance as a whole but at the time of selection it will be individually. At Pre-RD they see individually and award us mark accordingly.

As per my knowledge there are NSS units opening for 11th and 12th class but are not allowed in RDC . But there's no such criteria that you should belong to the respective stream in graduation or 12th. Science, Arts, Commerce, Engg., Medical everyone is welcome in the service and are eligible for RDC

Yes if you are that much dedicated for sure you will get things done. Volunteers are expected to show some cultural performance not the best in it if you are aiming for it start preparing your Culturals and parade. For interview also read about NSS n your state.
No nothing like that. Volunteers from private medical and engineering colleges too take part. Also Deemed-to-be universities have selection for RDC. The matter js just that your University must be having active NSS activities. Govt. Private doesn't matters

I am also interested in doing RDC this year. I am from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The selection process in my city has not started yet. Even, I have also not started preparing for it yet. My cultural part is not so strong. I have heard that the selection at university level will be held after Diwali. So should I start preparing for it now. Like will I be able to learn all the things which are required for it in such a short span of time. What should I do? Please guide me.
Yes if you are that much dedicated for sure you will get things done. Volunteers are expected to show some cultural performance not the best in it if you are aiming for it start preparing your Culturals and parade. For interview also read about NSS n your state.

According to the new guidelines it is not allowed in most regional directorates. Pre-RD is a one time chance.

No nothing like that. Volunteers from private medical and engineering colleges too take part. Also Deemed-to-be universities have selection for RDC. The matter js just that your University must be having active NSS activities. Govt. Private doesn't matters

Should the volunteer's height always match the given eligibility criteria or they can be a little lenient with the volunteer's height if he/she is good in parade? Please answer if you know
If you are that deserving they may consider you by +/- 1cm. I had a friend who was 153.7cms but got selected that too in the matching contingent.
