- Insanely Bright Budget Off Road Lights | Auxbeam 7 Inch Off Road Lights
Auxbeam was kind enough to send me a set of their 7 inch off road lights. These are their new, latest and greatest lights that still fit most budgets. I try to avoid ultra low budget lights, as they typically lead to water ingress, faded plastics and failed LEDs in record time. These new Auxbeam lights however, are pretty impressive for the cost. Lets check these out, take them out for a nighttime stroll, and see how they stack up.
In the future, I will be comparing these to other lighting options.

We actually had a partner in Norway using these lights at -7.6F and never heard any issue from him so far
They are pretty solid lights!
@@IndependenceOverland Appreciate mate! Feel free to keep testing them out!
Hi has Auxbeam a partner in Europe?
I’ve been using mine here in Alaska in -40F. No issues at all.
I’ve had pretty good luck with Auxbeam. On my 07 JK I have the A Pillar Side shooter lights and they’ve worked perfectly for 5 yrs. I put them on my new ‘21 Bronco also along with Auxbeam’s best light bar. The light bar got condensation in it after a couple months but they sent me a full replacement with no hassle. The Sideshooters have been perfect. Performance wise they are incredible. I recently did an hour or so of higher speed trails in CO trying to get to camp after I was very late to meet my group and the lights made me feel very confident in the middle of the night. I normally like to buy American but the cost differential on lights like this is massive (300% more) and I just can’t get my head around it enough to buy the American. You have great content and I appreciate your straightforward, thorough and unbiased view. Would love to see you and Brad from Trailrecon do something together.
I’m with you on lighting cost, I’m not sure how much better they could be. But in the future, I’ll dive into some higher end ones (that I’ll probably buy used) to compare. I think a lot of people wonder what the big difference, if any, is.
The more light at night the more fun it is to adventure thru the night. Hope those lights hold up with time. 💡
I’ll be throwing some Bajas on the next rig to try out. These pale in comparison, but also a 1/3 the cost. I think the LP6 would be a good comparison.
I ordered 4 for my tacoma. I'm replacing my 9 inch auxbeams. I did end up ordering the amber lenses. I cant wait to see how the work. Great video.
That’s going to be a TON of light!
What wad wrong with the 9 inch Aixbeams?
Great review will you be uploading the install?
No sir. It’s literally connect two wires and it’s good to go. I wired mine to my own relay box, which is even less eventful. I will do a separate video at some point on how to wire something into the high beams, and how relays work.
Awesome video and great information! Much appreciated it. How do you think these would perform on a truck roll bar? Would the light spill too much on the cab? I was thinking of getting four of these lights.
Let me take a look tonight directly in front of the Fj and see how much is thrown downward. I’m wanting to say it would be fine, but I’ll double check.
@@IndependenceOverland Sounds great! I truly appreciate it.
I think it would actually add a lot of glare to your hood.
@@IndependenceOverland Ok! I appreciate the info and opinion. Gives me a better idea for what I want. Thanks for taking the time to look.
How are these light holding up. It has been a year.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for checking in, I actually recently noticed some condensation inside one of them that didn’t dry on its own. They do have pressure valves, and typically burn off the vapor but this time I’m going to have to pull the Allen heads and dry it. Everything still works though!
Don’t lie , you put that cow there 😄
🤣
I see no pinned comment a year later, any update?
One side does have slight moisture inside as of this past month actually. I need to pull it apart and dry it, and see if it seals back up.
Glad I don't have these issues. I don't drive at night anymore if I can help it.
I don’t enjoy it, and really I use these more for avoiding elk than anything.
@@IndependenceOverland I just came back from a camping trip today. When the sun goes down, so does my eyelids.
Some of us don't have that luxury and want to prevent hitting mother nature's creatures at night.
Is this or aux 9 street legal
No, basically no high output lights like this are street legal.

Close to $300.00 not much of budget. Any more for a light is crazy. Get aviation landing lights.
Where did you see a close to $300 price? The link to Amazon is under $200.
@dw8840 the link shows $275.95. Still cheap when compared to other brands on the market though.
