Daan Made in Holland cause you can get lucky. Samsung or Apple phones being stronger is bs, it all depends on many things like the angle, the surface it falls on and the height ofc. Had my X with a thin case for almost 2 years now (since last January) and not a single screen or glass cracked, only minor scratches from keys against it in my pockets but that’s it. Had 2 Samsung Galaxy’s before one cracked and other is in perfect condition. Both companies make delicate phones it just depends on a lot of factors 🤷♂️
I love these phones man. I have the iPhone 11 and I’ve watched several videos of its durability. It’s a very durable phone. You can drop it so many times and they will most of the time not shatter. Water doesn’t affect them at all. They’re just awesome

The real damage happens when corrosion occurs, and that can take some time, so the instant water resistance that was tested doesn't really show the entire picture. I would love to see how the exact phones that were tested run after a week or two.

I was at a hotel swimming pool and was in the water for around 35 minutes till I got out and couldn’t find my iPhone 11. Turns out it was in my pocket the whole time and I almost had a heart attack till I turned it on and it was still working 😂

Incredible. I dipped JUST the two lenses from the iPhone 11 in pool water to get a 5 sec underwater shot yesterday. 30 min ago, my iPhone screen is on the fritz and now I have to pay $99 for a replacement.
Mine got dipped in water for 12 seconds. Face ID no longer works. And the one microphone sounds funny when zoomed in. Screen was switching on and off but it now works. Has a bit of a dark dull spot on one part Wouldn’t recommend anyone taking their chances. Apple doesn’t cover water damage, and they want to quote me on a replacement device

I used my iPhone 7 while snorkelling in Samoa, twice a day for 7 days. Dived down to about 10-15 feet several times. Never rinsed it off with fresh water. No sign of water getting inside, speakers worked fine when they dried out. Got back to NZ, downloaded my photos, and the phone stopped working a week later. Now that’s a real world salt water test ;-) I think the only reason it got water damage, is because the salt corroded the metal in the charging port. Not willing to put my iPhone 11 Pro to the same test ... or am I? Vanuatu next year ...
I have used my iphone 8 for filming rain. I put it directly under the falling rainwater from a tin roof for several minutes. The camera blacked out for a while and the speaker sound was a bit muted for a while but it got back to normal after a few minutes. I also used the same phone in filming our dip in a swimming pool with hot spring water, the phone was ok after about 20 minutes in the water. My fellow teachers were so amazed with my phone. I am now saving money for an iphone 11.

Hey, if you replace the screen on your iPhone, your water resistance is GONE. I cracked my iPhone XR screen back in January, replaced it, and a week later I dropped it in the sink and both cameras got fogged up, as well as FaceID not working-I had to get a new one.

It’s nice to see apples water proofing of their newer iPhones to work this well, I have the iPhone 11 and I genuinely love it.
