hello everyone! it has definitely been a while, but i am on a break from school, so i was able to finish this. i have been working on this on and off for like a year and a half, which is pretty obvious, since some scenes are really old and kind of bad-looking.i hope to make another YCH soon so let me know if anyone has any ideas!
anyways, this is an AU, i created a while ago, inspired by a shadow in the riverclan. Feathertail is one of, if not my absolute favorite character, so i am really excited to be using her.  the AU itself isn’t really complicated. it’s just what would happen if feathertail was not able to move past her resentment of leopardstar and was unable to forgive her for what happened to stonefur. i know in canon feathertail has a gentler personality, but i am going off of the manga. 
this is very hollyleaf-esque story, but i can definitely see it applying here. i also think that would draw some interesting parallels if i were to expand on this AU, since feathertail is often watching over crowfeather’s kits. i havent thought that deep into it, but i think this idea is interesting to toy around with.
and before anyone asks-yes, i know leapordstar had multiple lives. just imagine that feathertail tigerstar1-ed her.
also: im not sure what im gonna do about blackstar. i originally was going to have feathertail kill him too but now i feel like thatd be out of character, and that she’d understand that blackstar, a warrior at the time, was just following orders (unlike leapordstar, who had a choice to have her own deputy executed)
ive toyed with the idea of having blackstar and tawnypelt at the lake scene instead of firestar and brambleclaw, and feathertail allows it to play out. but ive decided against that too. i think i might just scrap that part completely and focus on the relationship between feathertail and hollyleaf.

ugh i just realized the editing messed up in some parts but im just gonna leave it…this project is too old for me to go back and fix again

Perhaps Greystripe and Blackstar? During a fight Greystripe accidentally kills him (scorecard not looking so good for Grey accidental killings) and Feathertail doesn’t try to save him, even though he was technically alive for a bit after and Greystripe doesn’t realise? But then when and why would they all be-

Like I can imagine Feathertail not helping Blackstar because no one but Stonefur and Grey Fire Raven helped HER and Stormfur, but who would…
Honestly I think feather would see that blackstar atleast cared for his clan and atleast tried his damnest to step out of his past. While... she never saw much improvement from leopardstar. I think that would make her finally snap. Seeing the cat who actually did the killing become a good person while the one who let it happened barely change at all.
The GN is canon. Maybe after the GN Feathertail gained a more softer side
I love this AU and I honestly wish it happened. Before reading A Shadow In RiverClan I kinda disliked Feathertail, I just felt like she was a bit boring. I liked her way more in ASIR and I really wish the Erins had written her with that personality from the beginning. Little Rant over - this is absolutely incredible art! You are criminally underrated
Feathertail was women so no unique personality.
Jokes aside, yeah. I also really didn’t like how she died two books later. She felt like a wasted opportunity, along with Stormfur. They were practically the first two kits born from a half-clan relationship in the series (besides Mistyfoot and Stonefur)
I wish they had more character development.
(Also, unrelated: why are they calling Tawnypelt a half-clan when Tigerstar came from ThunderClan not ShadowClan?)
@@Littlefox1213 did they call her that? They questioned her loyalty to shadowclan but I don't remember her being called halfclan specifically
@@fauxclaws Yeah in the second arc, I think between Dawn and the 4th book. It was mostly by Rowanclaw

we need more feather tail content. and not just "cute kitty who is crowfeather's love interest" (cough another example spottedleaf)

This is heavily underrated. Such an interesting concept, since in canon Feathertail is once of the sweetest cats out there.
yknow i never thought before the fact that she had to still live under leopardstar after stonefur was murdered. there was definitely resentment there

I love this! I remember when I read A Shadow in RiverClan my perspective on Feathertail changed quite a bit, and now she's one of my favorite characters! It was so sad when she died 😔

I always loved Feathertail ,she is one of my favorites, her book a shadow in riverclan really showed her personality and her view on things. I read a shadow in riverclan before the new prophecy and the prophecy begins so I had a different perspective of her when I was reading the other two series with her in it. I wish they would have shown more of her personality in the new prophecy,but I still like her in the two series.
YESS MY GIRL FEATHERTAIL GETTING THE LOVE SHE DESERVES???? The ending of ASIRC was so.. unrealistic to me? Just generally out of character for the Feather they were building up. She got over it too quickly and was way too quick to forgive. Love the AU!!!

i have a similar au where feathertail and mistystar kill leopardstar together in revenge and mistystar makes feathertail her deputy, and they eventually drive out shadowclan together

Wow! I simply loved this AU! Your drawing is very beautiful, your art is incredible! Leopardstar really deserved this. I confess that Blackstar is my favorite character, no matter how much he committed his crimes, he showed regret, and became better than his predecessors, even Stonefur himself forgave him. Unlike Leopardstar, she simply watched her representative get killed and did nothing, pretending nothing had happened, which is one of the reasons I don't like Leopardstar. New subscriber❤
I am not defending Leopardstar, because she definitely has made the wrong choices because of the way she felt and theres no excuse for that, but after reading Leopardstars honor, we see that Tigerclaw (at the time) starts to talk Leopardfur when they are both new deputies and even start complementing her, they both had this sort of established trust before anyone else, Tigerstar, obviously gaining her trust to take advantage of her does so when they both become leaders, literally manipulating her into joining him, saying if she doesn’t join him then Firestar and Tallstar will team up against her (This isn’t true, Tigerstar is just saying whatever will get Leopardstar to join) So Leopardstar joins Tigerstar, and we immediately see Tigerstar take over her entire clan and when Leopardstar starts to Defy Tigerstar because of all this, he literally calls over Darkstripe and Blackfoot threatens and her life, and he had told her if she even thinks of trying to overthrow him, he will simply kill all of Riverclan (which he could definitely do) So if Leopardstar acted at all to save Stonefur, Tigerstar would have killed the rest of Riverclan. I’m sure i’m very bad at explaining, so I recommend just reading Leopardstars honor instead for her POV.
@@vixy2321 Sorry, I never really liked Leopardtstar. I'm from a country that hasn't launched the Leopardstar super edition yet. That's why I came to this conclusion. I'm very sorry.
@@isabela_Loka_ It is okay, I understand if you don’t like her, you don’t have too. I’m pretty sure the super edition is available to listen to here on RUclips. Also I thought that she just left them to die at first also, and I was angry at her for that until I read her Super Edition

I hope that she goes to starclan like Hollyleaf does, a redemption arc for her after this would be so cool! Redeeming herself through caring for crowfeather’s kits… perhaps she sees herself in hollyleaf and realizes that revenge hurts the one enacting it more than the one who did the wrongs. Maybe she encourages Hollyleaf against killing, maybe hollyleaf and her have a falling out because the truth of their heritage and hollyleaf kills against her judgement!

This was such an interesting and unique AU! It would have been fun to see in the books, especially since Feathertail was kind of… bland, in The New Prophecy. I definitely prefer her portrayal in A Shadow in RiverClan.

Seriously tho! In ASiR, feathertail was just basically told to get over herself and all of the trauma she went through! Love the AU, awesome work!
Not really what happened at all, her trauma was shown as valid the entire book and she didn't budge on her mistrust until leapordstar literally tried to sacrifice her life for her AND directly apologized and acknowledged what she did was awful, and even then said " I understand if you never forgive me". Stormfur was less than understanding at times but one character having a flaw doesn't mean that's the message of the story.
how in the world does that equate to "getting over herself"?
