I have driven my family to Florida this past Spring Break, but I didn't record that trip mainly for those reasons. Where do you get the temperature from? Car thermometers are wrong usually.

    • @unclecoolie
      @unclecoolie  2 года назад +1

      I had a chart on the console and wrote down the temperatures that the car was showing about every 15-30 minutes. I made up the chart showing times from early in the morning to late in the evening, so that all I had to do was write the temp. number on the sheet while I'm driving. The Garmin has a temperature sensor, but I could never get it to work in the car because the sensor has to be mounted outside in a safe plate, but the signals become too attenuated to work. Car temperature sensors are often inaccurate, but I would occasionally check my phone to see what the local temperatures were, and usually it showed it being within 1-2 degrees of what the car showed.
