As a German who really loves the USA I appreciate your content so much because I get to see the different Landscapes and Cities of the USA through your videos! I love it!
Thank you! I used to live in the United States and drove around 36 states during my few years there. I believe the US has the best road network! It really makes you want to adventure. Thank you again for making these videos and sharing them with us :).
Hi there I stumbled onto your video and immediately opened it up and viewed it. I was born in warrensburg Missouri and that 4 years of age my mom moved us to Lee's Summit. I went through School in Lee's summit. I'll be 77 in May. When we move to the population was 2500 there was one stoplight in town at 3rd and Douglas. FYI Cole younger is buried in Lee's summit. I haven't been there for probably 20 years and at that time I couldn't get over the amount of traffic it had. The changes were monumental. I really enjoyed watching the video it really brought back a lot of memories for this old woman.
So here's something I managed to figure out. I can follow along in real time while also running on the treadmill. All I have to do is set the speedometer to the speed limit divided by 10, set the incline to the elevation divided by 1000, boom now I can enjoy the ride. I'm still on part 1 btw, but I'll definitely get to part 2 when I get to the end of that one.
This is by far the best drive yet. Most of the drive is NOT on interstates. The upcoming portion from Lee Summit, Mo to Kingman, AZ I think is the best. Minimum billboards after leaving interstate 35. Well done. Would have liked to have tagged along
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for the time and effort. Any plans to do a video on the I5 starting from canada and going to Mexico? I think that would be an epic video.
Thanks! I have no plans for that, but I never know when an opportunity comes up. I want to do west coast drives up into Canada and down into Mexico eventually.
Do Portsmouth Ohio to Champaign and Champaign to St. Louis. St Louis to Topeka. Topeka to Wichita. And Finally. Wichita to Los Angles. Note: this is a Challenge

thanks a lot for the video! I'm very interested to see what your country looks like! But where are all the people?! For example, in Salem, Illinois, I did not see a single pedestrian
Thanks! The only thing I can think of was that the day that I drove through Illinois, it was a Thursday, so a lot of people were working and kids were in school.
You're right. I made a mistake with that. I also made a mistake at the beginning when I stopped shortly after I stopped at the UDF in Cincinnati: I didn't add that 5 or so miles into the total, so the final tally at the end of this video should've been about 15 miles more than what was shown. I usually have the totals listed in an Excel spreadsheet, so that there's no mistake with the tallies, but I didn't have Excel available to me when I was adding the mileage in the video. This is also one thing that I wish the Virb software fixed: allowing the overall total of the distance traveled for the video, but Virb only gives the total for each video segment that the camera records, so every time I turn the camera (such as at a pit stop), it starts a new distance calculation. I turn the camera off often because of the small chance that the GPS .fit file could get corrupted and unusable. (I once lost an entire day's drive's worth of GPS data because I left the camera running non-stop and the .fit file got corrupted.)
Thanks. I drove out to Santa Monica, CA then to Las Vegas, where I stayed for the rest of the week for work before flying home to Virginia the following Friday. I noticed that issue, too, so I fixed the thumbnail.
Thanks! I only add music to shorter, time lapse videos, and that's because finding acceptable, non-copyrighted music is difficult, and most of my viewers prefer the ambient audio for the real time videos.
The camera records GPS information, and the distance is one of the apps that the camera's software uses. Unfortunately, it resets the distance every time I turn the camera off.
If you're still in Lee's Summit you could road trip over to my house with some toilet paper. I'm not sure it would pull many views, but I would view you as a hero!
Are you ever right on the cusp of breaking into song but then at the last moment, you think of the viewers and hold it in? I wouldn't be able to drive 5 miles without singing...
Highway 50 was a really nice drive! I like seeing the countryside! Keep ‘‘em coming! Thanks so much!
Thank you! I will. I hope to have day 3 of this trip uploaded in the next few days.

Thanks! The only time during the whole drive from NYC to CA that it rained was in the morning of the third day, driving through eastern Kansas.

Yaaaaaayyyyy
What app did you use for your thumbnail? (The map)
I created it from a template that I found online. It took several hours to do, but I've used this for dozens of my videos since 2018.
This is a great video however if I were to have done this drive I would’ve taken Interstate 70 In Missouri to get to Lee’s Summit
Thanks! I've always wanted to do a complete US highway road trip, so that was my inspiration for driving on US-50 for more than 1,250 miles.
can you do a video driving in Italy Milan to florence
I would love to one day. So far all I've done in Europe is southern Germany.
What app do.u use for distance, etc?
The camera records GPS information, and the distance is one of the apps that the camera's software uses. Unfortunately, it resets the distance every time I turn the camera off.

Sure, and I'll bring some eggs too. 😊
What kind of vehicle?
A 2022 Honda Ridgeline that I rented from Dulles Airport and eventually dropped off at Las Vegas McCarran Airport.
U.S 50 went through my hometown in Indiana.. what's the odds
I wished that I could've taken US-50 the entirety from Ocean City, MD to Sacramento, CA. One day I will, maybe along with a complete US-6 or US-20.
You should do I 71 sometime
I might do some of it soon, but I doubt that I will be able to do the entirety of it.

Are you ever right on the cusp of breaking into song but then at the last moment, you think of the viewers and hold it in? I wouldn't be able to drive 5 miles without singing...
When I'm not listening to music via my earbuds, I'm listening to songs in my head. I'm no singer, so it's easy for me to be quiet about it. 😊
Imagine what would have happened if you got into a road rage while trying to film your videos
