I have a question since you split green goblin and Osborn why didnt you do the same with doc oc and otto since they have the same problem as goblin
I can’t necessarily agree with Dr. Octopus being ranked as Bad & Evil. Yes, he has done pretty terrible thing like killing people and kidnapping MJ, but it was the arms fault. The arms had a mind of there own killing many people and causing so much destruction, but he did sacrifice his life to save MJ and Peter from his machine in spider-man 2. In no way home he saved Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield from Electro proving that villains can be redeemed. He also wasn’t a true villain because he was put in a position where he was stuck to these arms that had control and he was forced to go along with it because he knew society would see him as a monster.

Yeah Doc-Oc on this list is my biggest disagreement as well. Definitely belongs in the gray area. He literally only fights spider-man once in this movie and the rest of the time he is shown helping with the curing process. Might as well put Dr.Strange in the bad category as well if Doc-Oc is.

Sand man should also be in the gray lower in the list ya he does crimes but he did for his daughter and actually helped Tom holin Spiderman defeat electro but only turned on him because Tom holin Spiderman send eleclro away into his cell and started to distrust Tom holin Spiderman he's just a father who loves his kid

I feel like Otto should’ve been in the grey, or at least higher than Jameson. Like, if you’re gonna cut Norman some slack, you should cut Otto some slack too, given how immediate his turn to good was once the tentacles’ control over him was silenced - and that’s not even mentioning his self-sacrifice in the McGuire universe.
Or maybe make the arms in the evil category and otto in the gray area since the arms were controlling otto

Lizard and Curt are different personalities. You threw a good man in the evil zone. Similar with Otto and the arms. Sans arms he wants to make the world better. With arms he wants to complete his project regardless of how dangerous it is.

Nah dude, Otto conducted an incredibly unsafe experiment inside his own building, with no permit, no care for safety, got his wife killed, and attacked Spider-Man for trying to turn it off. He should have been going to jail before the arms turned him looney.

But then again, killing is not the answer. Tobey's Peter is pretty much a pacifist, and is a hero without needing to kill anyone. He may have fought a lot of bad guys, and I don't know if the guy who killed Ben in Spider-Man 1 is dead or just injured, but I don't remember seeing Peter (Tobey) straight up kill anyone, except for the symbiote in Spider-Man 3.

I'd put Doc Ock in Grey Area, because he pretty much acts civilized for the majority of movie, and is also the first to be cured. So of all the five villains in this movie, Doc Ock is the least evil in my opinion. He's pretty much causing harm and destruction only in the first fight of the movie, and then pretty much is just "there" for the rest of the movie, not doing really anything.

I would have to rank conners and Otto in the gray area because both the lizard DNA and the arms affect there minds, and it is shown that before they are corrupted they are good people.
Especially Otto, since he's only causing harm and destruction during the first fight of the movie, and is pretty much a good guy for the second and third acts. Especially considering he was the first to be cured.

This is a very good list! I do have to say that despite Green Goblin being the most evil character, he is still the best character in the spider-man franchise! Willem Dafoe played him very well :)

The issue with this video is that all these characters are more complex than just "good or evil". That's one of the many reasons Spider Man villains are so great.

Felt like Strange was ranked a bit too low given that he was only trying to protect the Multiverse. Also, I feel like if you're going to separate Osborne from Goblin, the same should be done for Doc Ock since he's technically being controlled by his arms, as well as maybe even the Lizard and Dr. Connors (though that one's up for debate seeing as he's not very well-explored in this movie). Still, good list, and I was happy to see Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man so high! Always enjoy your videos. :)

I think Daredevil is more good than Andrew's Spider-Man since he (probably) never killed anyone.
And Dr. Octavius (not Octopus) should be on the good side as well. As soon as he wasn't controlled by the arms he tried to help. He even sacrificed himself in _Spider Man 2._

It feels good the villains are cured instead of dying.
Good thing Peter learned how great power come great responsibility.
Peter#2 was the friendly neighborhood spidy was great friends with Mary Jane and Harry Osborn following the moments before uncle Ben's death by the car jacker he forgive Flint Marko explaining the real story in Spider-Man 3 and had a heart to heart with Dr Octavius while restraining Max to cure him.
Harry as the new goblin has amnesia as he learned the truth after his sacrifice but he didn't get cured at the mcu or transported by the mutiversal spell.
One of mystrio's illusion clones released the footage after his real self was killed by the drones after the attack in London after his illusion clone revealed Peter's alias causing everyone and John J Jameson idolizing mystrio.
I'd give similar green goblin/norman osborn treatment to Doc Oc. As many said, he was being influence by his arms to do bad deeds. In the movie, it's somewhat implied that he was aware of his actions as when Peter One placed the new neural inhibitor, he sorta was clueless as to what was going on, as if he didn't remember what was happening.

Eddie Brock was about to pay off the bill while at the bar while about to chat with Peter but it was too late until the piece of the black symbiote was exposed.
Eddie Brock/ venom got sent back to their universe where they started when drunk until the black drop of the symbiote was exposed in the mcu.

Gwen Stacy played by Emma Stone was Peter's MJ in amazing Spider-Man 2 after a run in at the tower by Harry as the goblin slowed Andrew's spidy thus causing to fail to save Gwen at the tower as he shares his backstory that Harry as the goblin was responsible for Gwen's death at the tower after electro overload to death.
Peter#3 was the amazing spidy although Gwen Stacy was his MJ moments before her death by a run in at the tower by Harry Osborn as the crazed green gobiln peter#2 redeem his ways as an amazing hero but at the cost of his humanity that overwhelmed him of the punches.

Lizard being more evil than Electro? I feel, like Goblin, you can blame the behavior (to an extent) on a serum. Electro had no excuse, just a small man who wanted revenge on the world, and was never repentant. (He did have a “heart-to-heart” with Andrew, but thinking well of your foe isn’t the same as being sorry for your actions.)
Norman Osborn cares nothing but himself since his relationship with his deceased son/ new goblin good thing toby's spidy created the cure to rid the serum for good.
Norman Osborn should have a close bond to Harry instead of pushing him away going solo even though in fact he was unmasked and responsible for May's death.

I would’ve put Doc Ock in the grey area because as you said, he did help out during the final battle you have to admit that he wasn’t the evil one… it was his arms that influenced him to do those bad things against his own will. Also, in Spider-Man 2, when Tobey’s Spider-Man was able to turn him back to good, he chose to sacrifice himself and it was quoted BY Alfred Molina “I will not die a monster!”
Lizard and Connors should be two different characters, just in the same body. Like Goblin and Norman.
