I find it hard to understand how it's a problem to have optional subscription to enjoy the game to fullest, while there are games with mandatory subscription (while still having cash shop) are perfectly fine.
ESO makes it pretty difficult to not have the subscription, but while that's true, the game is essentially using every type of money making scheme in modern day games rather than one or two - microtransactions built on purposeful problems in game with the solution in the store, paid DLC 3-4 times per year (minus this year), overwhelming cosmetic rewards in the store, and having to buy even the base game still to this day
It makes me smile you are so young to say 10 years as in it is a long time :). However in today's world with ONLY profit profit profit it is rare actual care and quality games exist. in that regard we agree. Fun video and you cover the pro's and con's very well. Keep at it.
Funny story about ESO is that I bought it on Steam Sale, watched some gameplay before and I was so happy and excited… only to play it for like 5 hours. I’m far from saying that it is a bad game, I think it satisfies Skyrim fans ofc. But for me - this rough Skyrim-like graphics and not feeling the plot was a big no. I used to play WoW and I think it’s the only MMORPG game which I can still play
Steam numbers are also extremely misleading with eso. The first few years it wasnt on steam and even nowadays many of the old core that never leaves just isnt in those steam numbers since they use the zenimax client. Me for example, been playing since release and my steam keeps reccomending me to buy that weird "eso" game 😂
ESO is hard carried by IP differnet world game is dead years ago. Throwing shade on Lost Ark yet more people play it and i say monetization is better there you get game free and you play get cosmetics from playing with cash shop to buy things. ESO has ridiculous price to get whole game and you dont even get fucking cosmetics from playing since they put literally everything into fucking cash shop with lootboxes. You dont ask what you can buy in ESO shop you ask what you CANT BUY there are so many things to buy there your local small shop has less things to buy. I heard new house is only from shop for 100 Euro what a MACRO-TRANSACTION filled game.
Base game without any DLC has hundreds of hours of gameplay, you can unlock a shit ton of cosmetics via achievements and also you can get 95% of the item shop content for the ingame currency through the gifting option of the item shop.
That's funny because I see people everywhere The game is way far from dead. The games just so big it's not like wow where everybody's hanging out in ogremer

10h in TESO is almost nothing, yes. Game still alive..
Well made video. Destined for more recognition, keep up the grind 🙏
i do enjoy the story for ESO and while it is my current MMO, hands down best MMO story has to go to ff14
ESO has the depth of lore, FF14 could only dream of. ITS ALL ABOUT THE METS BABY, LOVE THE METS.
I agree I constantly switch off between ESO and FF14 those are my two main MMOs
Base game is hundreds of hours of gameplay. Great game 👍💯 so much to do.
The base game has more than enough content to keep you entertained. Just buy more when you finish whats on your plate
I always thought the combat felt really floaty
fire video man, really glad i found your channel :)
Speed running short answer yes it is

I understand that. I think ESO shines in its scale and it's multiplayer PVPS aspects where you actually seize castles

It's funny, SWTOR has a subcription service but if you cancel it you keep all the DLC.
bad bait. get downvoted
