- The ESO PvP scene is relatively meager. The ESO Battlegrounds scene, a subsection of the PvP community, is even more so. It may come as no surprise to hear then that Battlegrounds lobbies can occasionally be very unbalanced as far as players’ skill levels go. Sometimes, players that are still learning the ropes of their builds (or PvP in its entirety) get thrown into the ring to fight against some of the strongest PvPers in the game. This is a result of there simply not being enough gamers in the BG queue to create multiple lobbies filled with players that have similar capabilities.
Because I play a healer in ESO PvP, I get a front-row seat to the shitshow that ensues, as my purpose in Battlegrounds is to try my darndest to keep my allies alive. This can prove to be a challenging (but pretty hilarious) endeavor in these busted lobbies that are more prevalent during the late hours of the night (or, uh, early hours of the day I guess heh). So, I decided to share some footage of my experiences with you all!

late night BGs might be a nightmare but late night Cyro exploration is pretty nice. Less tryhards chasing you halfway across the map so you can actually explore the zone and collect anything you need to collect. I've even seen rival factions having what appeared to be a dance off once
Yesss late night Cyrodiil can be very wholesome. It's nice when all three factions gather 'round some place and take turns dueling one another (especially when you can pull off some impromptu 2v2s or 3v3s - something you wouldn't be able to do in Stormhaven/any other dueling hotspot).

Haha yes! Annihilation is one of my favourite films (and books!) and that lil bit when the Alien appears is *such* a great soundbite lol. As for editing, it does take a WHOLE lot of time, but it's absolutely worth it in the end heh

I play at around this time too. I recognize some of the names on those BG matches. The Battleground Scene has either stagnated or declined. I have relatively high MMR and always cue with the same high MMR folks. There is a high bar and if don't play meta or if your home brew build isn't effective, you'll lose out a lot. I play handicapped too with 250+ - 350+ ping. D: Great Video though! (I'm from the Philippines)

Sadly that's pretty much how all of my BG's looked before I quit the game. What happens in the video happens at midnight my time on EU server and that's always when I start to get ready for some BG's. It's extra funny when there are people that you know on the other teams but their groups are full so they just smush your team over and over again (and tell you the they're sorry after the match 😅) and this happens for multiple games in a row coz there's only like 12 people online playing battlegrounds...

I'm not a pvp fan, and I had bad experiences with mmo's with too many EXPLOITS. Was in Cyrodill the other day, and I had my first pvp experience in ESO and was fun still a long, grindy road, but I'm happy how i held up, really fun

Honestly have never done a BG. That may change though. Recently joined the ESO pvp Academy, hopefully I can get help putting a useful build together.

Haha yeah, exactly, I'll gladly take my AP and hey, sometimes it's good practice when it comes to bettering my own survivability :') The queues take an AGE though. At times, there's only *one* BG match going on in the entire server, so it can take up to 15 minutes to get into a match if you miss it lmao

Haha yeah, it's a real challenge for sure. When that happens I just end up sticking to my strongest dd for the entirety of the match. When everyone is equally.....uh.... not very adept....at pvp I'm basically screwed lol

Last week on EU I queued for 30 mins in the afternoon and then the game just gave up and put me in low elo lobbies. Leaving me one game with 71 kills. Probably everyone apart from me and my friend left the game pretty annoyed. For me personally once is fun but every game like that would feel a bit boring.

You should find room on your bar for javelin, will help your team out more then another heal most of the time, and yeeting people off the side of the map as a pvp healer is fun
Ah as tempting as it would be to yeet people off of things, I wouldn’t want to fuck up my allies’ burst combos by giving my enemies cc immunity. I wouldn’t be able to follow it up with a combo of my own anyways as a support ;p
