  • Much of what is called "Christendom" today revolves around the world of the megachurch, and what a world it is. This intricate network of corruption and business is such a far cry from biblical Christianity as to make those involved in it as far from Christ Himself. Mega Churchianity is an enterprise that crosses denominational lines and which has deceived millions. So, how did the megachurch destroy Christianity?

@John Fehr I'm convinced Masonry has far less to do with most things than people suppose. One needn't be a Mason to be evil. Some societies aren't secret at all and are even more corrupt and effective in their corruption.

Mark 10:26, NIV: "The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, 'Who then can be saved?'" “With man it’s impossible, but with God all things are possible,” Jesus replied. 2 Corinthians 6:17 “Therefore, come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Don’t touch any unclean thing and I will welcome you.” Wow, Joshua great job how you put all that information together. As a young Christian and as I matured, I always felt out of place because as I looked around, it all seemed so superficial, so based on the outward. It never seemed pure. I felt this same way. It was so strange when both my pastor and my youth minister passed the hymns shifted to contemporary…things changed in the church and it felt more political and superficial than it were spiritual. The church in which I grew up in changed from growing your relationship with God to a popularity contest in the community. I never understood since I’m only 22, and likely still don’t understand. I hate that I’ve drifted away from the church but I’m glad that I still have family and friends I can speak with religious discussions about. I pray the church regains it’s identity, because this instance was in a small baptist church in Mississippi

I have attended a couple of "megachurches" and at times it could feel like just entertainment. One thing I did not like was the fact that the Pastors did not live in the community where their churches were. They lived miles away in very expensive areas in huge houses. Their children and grandchildren went to private schools, all the while asking for more money from struggling members who lived in blue collar/ working class hoods and had no choice but to send their kids to public schools. It's a scam, and if you even ask about it, you are a trouble maker.

My main beef with mega churches is the fact that they're not very personal. You could spend your whole life there and most of the people within them would still be strangers. Congregations should be a second family that you can confide in and grow with. When they get too big, that becomes impossible.

What struck me this time was, although you are very spot on with your assessment of these mega churches, small fellowships have leaders that seem to only want to get big and bigger. Instead of just being faithful and leaving the growth up God, they actually study how businesses grow and then begin to copy them. So sad, and most don't even see it.

      You're correct.
For from the least unto the greatest of them ALL are greedy for gain, prophets and priests alike, ALL practice deceit. Jer 6:13
What is commonly referred to as the "church " is actually the harlot, the whore of Babylon. God calls His elect out of every denomination and sect of Babylon and draws them to HIMSELF. This whore of Babylon (confusion) and its thousands of divided carnal sects represent Babylon the Great. It is the blind leading the blind. As it is written, evil men and SEDUCERS will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. This whore, Christianity, is the adulterous woman, going after strange flesh, the flesh of men, carnal minds of men. This act of seeking a MAN to teach us is the very foundation of what sin is in the scriptures. These carnal "pastors" are idols, pewsitters are committing idolatry, fornication, adultery. This is breaking the commandments of God. Imagine claiming to be the bride of Christ but seeking wisdom from another man. His elect are espoused to ONE HUSBAND, CHRIST IN US. This is the major difference from the few and the many, the wheat and the tares, the children of God and the children of the devil, the light and the darkness, the temple of God and the temple of idols, children of the light and those drunken in the night, those who are raised from the dead and the carnally minded which is death, New Jerusalem and Jerusalem that is now and is in bondage with her children. The whole Bible talks about the act of people seeking and trusting in MEN vs seeking and trusting in God to teach us and feed us. His sheep hear His voice and a stranger they will not follow.

We just left a *small* church after eight months of attending faithfully. A month ago the 'pastor' started with how much money he's collected: 100k for the 'new 1Million dollar building' he is planning to buy and rent out to other churches. He said:" We're almost there ! Keep giving!" We had absolutely no idea that he was collecting for his business venture. Prior to this, his doctrine was shockingly taking a turn for the fire. He started repeating his mantra: "This is what this verse really means and nobody else is going to tell you that!" Three families including us left and the Lord led us to a thriving but humble in spirit church. We are finally being edified and fellowship is alive! We were tested by the LORD : Who will we follow? We followed Him straight out... Much love brother and God Bless you !

You ran away instead of having your session of elders and diaconate bring a rebuke and correction to this pastor? What sort of church is merely a small business owned by a pastor? That's not how it should be. Your pastor should be an employee of the congregation with elected and trained and ordained and installed overseers/elders as well as a local presbyter or committee/council of other ruling elders of sister churches. Where is your church discipline?

There were no elders! He had a henchman guarding the money box - that's it.
The church we went to after that one was even worse: No elders there either! The leader was approached by the young men asking him to institute elders for the sake of accountability but the 'lone wolf' refused. Can you even imagine? It was the young people who wanted accountability not the older men! Furthermore it was found out that he was inviting the young men to his house for hot tub sessions! There were 3 witnesses that confirmed this. Finally the man was staunchly entrenched in the heresy of Preterism. We gather in our home now, just as the 1st Century Church. Praise the LORD for His guidance and mercy.

@@whateverheather655 You are correct. Do you know that there is more to Sunday other than just a church day? It's important to know especially we are living in the last days. Allow me to explain. And tell me what you think.
Revelation 13 made simple (beast, mark, 666)
Revelation 13 in essence is about worship, whom you will obey. The word worship was mentioned 5x in that chapter. It reveals a blatant attack on God's Commandments by Satan through the making of counterfeit laws to deceive people.
      A. 1st Commandment said "You shall have no other gods before Me"
Satan aka dragon, who gave his power to the first beast (which have seven heads and ten horns), wants to be worshipped. Whoever worships this beast is really worshipping Satan. Revelation 13: 1-4
      B. 2nd Commandment said "You shall not bow down to graven images and worship them..."
The second beast (lamb-dragon beast) does the bidding of the first beast, and makes an image of the first beast. An image is a copycat. By worshipping this image, it's the same as worshipping the beast and Satan. Revelation 13: 11-15
      C. 3rd Commandment said "You shall not use God's name in vain"
The first beast blasphemed God's name. Revelation 13:5-6.
      D. 4th Commandment said "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy...but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God..."
The first beast has a mark aka mark of the beast which is a counterfeit of God's Sabbath aka the seal of God. Revelation 13:16-17
      Conclusion:
Who is the first beast? It's Vatican/Papacy, not the Catholics themselves. Daniel chapters 2,7, and 8 reveal the precursor.
Who is the lamb-dragon beast? It's USA. The land that was once a symbol of religious and civil freedom, is fastly showing his dragon face.
What is the image of the first beast? A copycat of Papacy. Papacy is a union of church and state (Revelation 17, mystery Babylon). So the image of the first beast is also a union of church and state that will soon undo the US constitution when they violate the 1st Ammendment, amidst crisis. Impossible? Look up Blue Law, Dominionism.
What is the mark of the beast? It's a counterfeit Sabbath: Sunday Law!! No one has the mark of the beast now. But when Sunday observance is enacted on the pain of no buying no selling, then it becomes the mark of the beast. Sunday will start as a grass root movement and is being marketed as a day of rest, family day, church day, green Sabbath, Sunday lockdown... Climate movement adopts Papal Laudato Si which promotes Sunday rest.
      Consider this forgotten knowledge:
      John Calvin (1509 - 1564)
“Though it be admitted that Rome was once the mother of all Churches, yet from the time when it began to be the seat of Antichrist it has ceased to be what it was before. Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Roman Pontiff Antichrist. But those who are of this opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself, after whom we speak and whose language we adopt .. I shall briefly show that (Paul’s words in II Thess. 2) are not capable of any other interpretation than that which applies them to the Papacy.” (Institutes of the Christian Religion, Vol.3, p.149)
“Sunday IS OUR MARK OF AUTHORITY…THE CHURCH IS ABOVE THE BIBLE, and this transference of Sabbath observance (from Saturday to Sunday) is proof of that fact.” - Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923.
"The Catholic church for over one thousand years before the existence of a Protestant, by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday…The Protestant World at its birth found the Christian Sabbath too strongly entrenched to run counter to its existence; it was therefore placed under the necessity of acquiescing in the arrangement, thus implying the (Catholic) Church’s right to change the day, for over three hundred years.
The Christian Sabbath is therefore to this day, the acknowledged offspring of the Catholic Church as spouse of the Holy Ghost, without a word of remonstrance from the Protestant World.” - James Cardinal Gibbons in the Catholic Mirror,
      September 23, 1983.
Come out of this Babylon system lest you share in her sins (Revelation 18:4, Revelation 14:9-11).
The antidote to this delusion is Revelation 14:12...Keep God's Commandments and the faith of Jesus. Worship Him as the Creator Revelation 14:7. This is a hint to Sabbath Commandment.
"If you love Me", said our Savior, "keep My Commandments" (John 14:15).

Thank you for the video! I grew up in the church and was where I stayed all my life. Fortunately I did not grow up in a megachurch but just a small Assembly of God church, that preached God's Word every Sunday, held weekly prayer meetings and encouraged us to live in obedience to God and His Word. The megachurch cult gradually started (at least for what I know in South Africa) in the 1980s, and gained momentum ever since. The initial lure of these churches was the music, the mega entertainment, the crowds and things being done on a greater and grander scale, but with time one closely observes the façade, the mask they hide behind and the hypocrisy. . In a megachurch no one knows you, the leader does not know you, and he doesn't care whether you are there or not, all they do is to promote the idea of belonging to a small group to feel 'part of the family of God'. This 'small group' has never worked for me no matter how hard I tried. When you finally leave, then your eyes are opened to the deception and the lies. You will then see how far away this model of doing church is from the bible. This cult combined with the prosperity gospel became even more lethal, because they used the pulpit to exploit people with biblical scripture in order to get more and more money from those who attended the church - it used to seem like a never ending request, its like they wanted to squeeze every cent out of you. The 'wolves in sheep's clothing'...!!! I am so glad that many years ago I left, I know God wanted me out because I was under the deception of this cult. Once I stepped out, I started to grow spiritually, have a deeper peace in my relationship with God, and my life is far better. I love church and the family of God but I am careful as to which church community I choose to be part of. These are signs of the end times, let us live carefully in our relationship with God, The end comes soon!

A few comments for those who may be new to some of the things presented here.
#1 You can't go to church as a Christian, because the church is a people, not a destination. You can meet somewhere as a body (frequently homes, but not limited to homes) but the church is not a physical place, like the temple was in the old testament. That meeting can be in a building with a steeple, but it's no different than if it's conducted in a private home or a public park. Or in an underground tunnel when true persecution comes to the west. But the place of meeting is NOT the church. You can never go to church, it's an oxymoron.
#2 Since the church is not a physical place, the church cannot be a hospital for sinners. Unregenerate people are not part of Christ's body by definition. It's very beneficial to evangelize, and we are commanded to do so. But it cannot be done in "church", because "church" as a physical location does not exist. In many "churches" pastors teach numerous sermons geared toward the lost, and therefore, the congregation does not grow, because they are hearing a message that does not apply to them. Ideas like the church being a hospital for sinners was popularized by people like Billy Graham. When Christians gather together (as commanded in scripture) it's fellowship over the Lamb of God. Sinners cannot partake in this union. If you have a heart for evangelism, do it on your own time. Become a missionary or talk to people you come across in your private life. Don't drag people to "church" like it's some pastors job to minister to them.
#3 Most churches in the US are 501C3's. So by definition, they are non-profit organizations. God's church in not an organization. Frequently these tax free funds are used to pay leadership salaries, build overflow buildings, etc. Since they are non-profits, the money must be utilized in accordance with US law. This is why demonic movements like the church of Scientology have millions of dollars in empty buildings. The money has to go somewhere. Many proclaiming Christian churches are no different. The money goes into salaries, rent, buildings, transportation, etc. Also, tithing 10% is not a biblical mandate. Let no man deceive you that this payment is required to your local "church" to maintain a clean conscience. As a kid, I tithed paper route money to an immoral pastor who made me feel guilty when I "robbed God" by withholding what was rightfully His. There's no bottom to the pit of immorality of these con men. As Joshua said. Hell and destruction is never full.
If anyone is interested how I gather currently. It's weekly, and usually with 4 other Christians (2 on the phone as they live too far away to join us in person) It's nothing grand in numbers, but God blesses our efforts and has worked at knitting our hearts together over the last couple years. I live in the bible belt, and I haven't been able to find a more organized gathering that doesn't teach some form of false doctrine. Because of this lack, God put it on our hearts to start doing something, because we couldn't just sit around forever and complain about how bad the world is getting. Remember. YOU are part of the solution, don't shuck your God given responsibility and use the excuse about most teachers being corrupt in order to purposefully isolate yourself (confession, I did that for a while). I just turned 33, and I'm trying my best to be a Godly elder, because I have found no other option locally. I've never had a good mentor, but God has used my lifelong struggle to prepare me. God has amazing ways of getting us where we need to be. There is hope in Christ my friends. Don't give up! Eternity with God is worth struggling toward!

@Treasure Quest - JD & Company Chronicles - Hammer to nails with this breakdown! Really awesome overview. I will mention on your last point about isolation that there can definitely be a time of separation that God uses to woo us toward Him, especially if we've gone through painful and traumatic experiences with evil, darkness, falsehoods, and deception, particularly with religion. Such has been my experience. I've come to appreciate more than anything the time of aloneness in body yet togetherness in spirit with those who follow the truth of Christ Jesus, and ultimately allow God to take the lead as I follow Him concerning where He wants me to be and who He wills to connect me with. I've come to see how time of separation is often just as important as time of unification, since the separation is not merely in opposition but for calibration, especially as it pertains to the purposes of God in seeding us with His truth, enlightening us with His understanding and preparing us for any assignments He wills to give to us. I do believe that many having missed this crucial step (especially due to being dragged into false fellowships with false shepherds that are a dime a dozen) are led astray due to not having the time and space to learn the voice and the heart of the true and foremost Shepherd, who is Christ! His sheep hear His voice and a stranger they will not follow! Moreover, as it pertains to the works of ministry or ministering, the Son of God knew when His time came through the fellowship He maintained with God His Father. Even so, we as children of God with His Spirit know the times unto which we are called, and the ways in which He leads us, and we choose to be led by His Spirit rather than driven by our own intentions. There is no greater fellowship than fellowship with God and the fruit of that fellowship that unites us with those who truly belong to Him!

    • @JDsVarietyChannel
      @JDsVarietyChannel 2 года назад +12

@@ezd2162 Ezra. Thank-you for your reply. I do agree with you. A lengthy part of my isolation was certainly God ordained. I was just highlighting that we can get too comfortable with that isolation when God wants us to come out of it. I like how you used the word calibration. I have frequently used the word reorientation. I guess they both work! It was certainly a reorientation or calibration period in my life where any outside influence would have kept me from what really needed to happen in my heart and mind. Sometimes being too involved in "ministry" alone can cause us to focus on our acts, rather than what the Spirit is saying. I think this is a significant issue in the current church culture. I guess it's all about seasons in the end. We need to know where God wants us, and when. Sometimes it's in a crowd, and sometimes alone. I found your response well written and very encouraging. When people are badly wounded, most need isolation from group think to detox. I have said before, that some people that grow up in zealous, false Christian sects, that one of the best things they can do for a while is stop listening to teachers, and sometimes even stop reading the Bible. I've gotten a lot of slack for this opinion. But as a young person, I learned how to study the bible in a way that did more damage than good, and it tormented me. I never stopped believing in God, but I was so confused and burdened by false doctrine, that it was actually my way of turning my back on the arduous grind of trying to obtain my own holiness. God brought me through many seasons. And now God's Word is refreshing to my soul! Blessings my friend!

If you don't attend these classes you cannot be registered as a church member. In one of the lessons to mark almost the end of the classes, one of the pastors was teaching and said that someone like Bishop David Oyedepo can almost not commit a sin.I looked around the class to see whether everyone was as shocked as I was and I was shocked that all was well. No shocked expressions. I was sure of what the pastor said. After the next 2 lessons, my spirit was unsettled and I stopped going for the classes. There were two more lessons to finish the membership initiation programme lessons that was a wrap for churches altogether. I went into the world of RUclips sermons and along the way discovered Servus Christi, Derek Prince, and a year ago , Gino Jennings. I am with these three until now. I have been to many churches in my time, and only 2 stood out as legit and spirit led, and it was because of the Pastor’s who lived hand to mouth in modesty, if not poverty. The last church I attended seemed promising, and they rented space at a school every Sunday for years, raising funds to build their own church. I stopped attending for a few years and decided to go to an Easter service in their new, lavish church they had built. I was appalled that the Easter sermon was 10 minutes about Jesus and 20 minutes about giving more than 10%…. asking people to give half their income to the church. I never went back. Only 2 of the 8 churches I’ve attended regularly in my life actually seemed legit, at least until the Pastor passed away at one and the other moved away. Their replacements were con men who ran it into the ground. At this point in my life, I still love God, but I don’t trust those who proclaim to be his shepherds. As soon as they start talking about money, I shake the dust from my feet and walk away. I attended a funeral at a church and the pastor had more gold and jewelry on than King Solomon, and even slighted the deceased about not being a man of many resources. His Jaguar was parked in the space that said ‘Pastor’. I was nauseated.

It's so bizarre to see these giant gatherings and know they're just a weekly service.
I come from a background of small, localized churches that had youth retreats this size. I think there's value, particularly for young people, in occasionally gathering together in a way that _feels_ more moving and more exciting, because having a way to experience the overwhelming feeling of God and restore your energy in a weary world isn't a bad thing. What _is_ a bad thing is starting to worship the _feeling_ rather than worship God. Having been to those youth retreats as a youth and as an adult, I don't know how any weekly gathering could be organized the same way and not just turn into an obsession with the feeling and a worship of that feeling.

Wilful ignorance is the only explanation I have for the abomination that the world sees as Christianity today. Let me ask anyone caught up in it that reads this to just take one step back long enough to ask yourself who it really serves.

Thank you for this video! I often watch your videos for a different doctrinal perspective. As someone who was raised on one side (conservative Presbyterian) then went on the other for many years(charismatic), I have seen exactly what you speak of on BOTH sides. Even worse, “mega church Inc.” is stamped on the hearts of even small town pastors. It has left me looking for a church home and not being able to find because of just the corruption you outline! It is…sad and frustrating.

I used to work for a small group of millionaire entrepreneurs and one of their favorite topics for investment were where to form the next megachurch. The would-be pastors were very much in on those conversations. They are selling a product and definitely getting rich.

Thank you so much. I was going to a small humble church that all of sudden bought a huge church a month ago. Before we moved, someone from the church spoke and said God said they we are all leeches stealing a service. Now we have to check the children into a computer and we get a barcode and number. Even though there is only 4 kids. We didn't check in, a man who we never saw before until moving to this church, hunted us down as we were seated, and said you have to check her in. We said no, she can sit with us. Today, I sat in church and cried, listening to Pastor, who has now become a motivational speaker. I feel alone. But am thankful I found this today, and everyone commenting. I am with you all in spirit.

Once they grew to a certain number, instead of building a megachurch, they would split off another church. The leadership knew the danger of a megachurch back in the early 80's.
