Tested a well looked-after '98 model yesterday. Amazing bike! So smooth and refined. I made the guy an offer immediately. He's the sole owner from new and gave me a full service history folder of invoices from his local Honda dealer!! Plus an up to date service history book! You don't get that very often.
I've driven a 94 ST1100 for 20 years. A fantastic bike that never missed a beat. I believe it is one of the best bikes out there. If I would not have fallen in love with the VFR1200F, i would not have sold it. Super bike!! .
Best economy sports tourer out there, can easily run up 100K + miles, 45 mpg, easy on tires, can load it up with gear, very difficult to beat, getting a bit thin on the ground these days but they can still be found for $2-3 grand.
Bought a B-162M 2000 ABS/TCS/CBS model just a few months ago. Gave it a full overhaul (Replacement rear swingarm, shaftdrive & flange belt, etc. etc.) Ready to do 200.000 kilometers more.
I had one years ago when I was 38 years old just bought another one coming up to 64 for 38000 miles red gold wheels non abs need a complete new exhaust system downpipes etc delkevic changed all the fluids heated grips it's a bullet-proof indestructible bike ST1100
This interview is one of the most sensible set of comments on a motorcycle I have seen on YT in a long time. I wish this were accompanied by some specs like weight, fuel economy, and seat height. I will find that elsewhere.
0:42 First mistake "transverse V-four engine" correction, it's mounted longitudinally not transverse. The VF series are transverse (East/West) while the crank axis in these run North/South.
This is a nice smooth, quiet, safe bike. If you'd like something with all the qualities and significant performance upgrade, look at the Yamaha FJR 1300, which is an incredible bike.
Nailed that review...its a superb bike regardless of manufacturer. Buying one to supplement my other bikes which include a 1150gsa... 😊🙏 from Tipperary Ireland 🇮🇪 subbed.
That is so easy and takes so little oil that changing the oil out in the final drive before every long trip or monthly should not be a huge problem anyway. Or when ever monthly or every six months!
Please I want own a big bike but am confused as to which one to choose I saw yamaha xj900p and honda st 1100 so I want to know which one is the best to ride on in your own preference thanks
I have one, the fork has started leaking sadly. I personally do not find it at all comfy, the weight on my wrist is agony after half an hour, pins and needles and the seat position is such that it crushes my groin!!! I am five ten and the reach to the handlebars is too sporty for anything than a quick jaunt. The engine though is insane, a warm growl, I have stainless Motads that add to that note. The fairing is not so great, I got a better screen but still, very loud and buffeting is rough, not my favorite bike, lots of presence, best for a lanky biker methinks.

Bought my this year (2017) model '91 no ABS with 93tkm. One of the best bikes for long range. This bike is just indestructible.
Bought this color, a 96, last week, with 66000 km. 28 years old and still a very nice bike to ride
I love the presentation with the bike in action on the road while listening. Great approach 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

After having my 1999 ABS model for nine years (bought used in 2006) I have no complaints.
had this 14 year-old mean machine for 2 years.. still reliable and a proven tourer .. went for Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand tour.. awesome!
Yeah. I got mine a year ago in 2015. Got it on Monday and rode to Sepang Motogp on Friday. Mine is a 98 model. Bulletproof. Gonna extend COE. ;)
got mine from 2002
Bro .... U Malaysian...or Singaporean?? Do u still have the bike with you??

techo61 Correct!
Why would you consider that a mistake, people like you like to cause problems and have no friends because you like to be a ass!
. Buy used st or concourse in your opinion ?
Thanks
Had mine for a while now..great bike
I have the ST1100 2001 with ABS TCS and it's awesome so glad I brought it

The ABS version came out in ´92. I know since I own one.:)
Great Bike! after some K100RT and R 1100 RT Beemers, I got a ST. Applied a BMW 100RT handlebar from Fehling and a Puig windscreen! Enjoy bros !
Hi there, do you prefer the ST over the RT? If so why? Thanks
No heat problems from the engine!!!On the legs and shins area!!
In a word, NO!
Is this a real thing? I have heard this? I'm on the fence , used concourse 1000 or st 1100. Not into speed
@@danny7954 I have a 2003 Concours & 2000 ST 1100. I prefer the ST!
Great presentation
Thanks!
Je l'adore cette machine increvable 😍👍💪!!!
soy un feliz propietario de una Honda ST 1100 Pan European 2001 ABS CBS TCS por mas de 6 años y no he encontrado una moto que la supere¡¡¡
A Good reliable comfortable motorcycle ,
Es una excelente motocicleta. Tengo una año 1999 y para mí es una joya.
Casualmente es de color rojo, como la del video.
3:40 My service manual recommends changing the oil in the final drive case every 24,000 miles. Yearly? Boy that's a shit-ton of riding..
Boom Nukka He was talking about the shaft oil

@@MJT-DA Shaft oil = final drive case.
@@robertbrandywine oops my bad, thanks for letting me know.
Honda st 1100 or goldwing 1100
Honda ST1100. Although the engine sticking out the side of the Goldwing 1100 is eyecatching.
The tester passed away in 2003
R.I.P.
