Shortly after this film was made my uncle saw one on the M25. I can only guess it was one from the movie. I think they only made 3 or 4 and at least two were destroyed I believe. I can't see the one he saw would of been a replica as it was shortly after the film was made. I have this model. I'm in the phase of customizing it as the paint job is wrong. It should be a dull mall black and not glossy. Even the screen used car had chrome around the windscreen but missing from the model. I wouldn't mind lighting mine. What kind of lighting system did you use? Great video.
Love the movie & the model. I have 2 myself. One is open & on display in my cinema room and the other is still in its box in mint condition & locked away. I had the body of my display model professionally sanded back and sprayed matt black to look more like the original Car rather than the gloss black that ERTL incredulously produced. I even made a ring tone of the horn for my iPhone. Having said that, your horn sounds like the batteries are running down. This is not a criticism but rather an observation.
Auto world just re-released it. Same scale 1:18 dicast. For only $80.00. Better get it b4 it goes up in value. I have both version etrl and auto world. No difference. Good luck.

The Car is 1/18 die cast model and was made by ERTL. I have 2 (not for sale) and they do occasionally pop up on eBay usually for around USD$200-300. This of course is without the mods done by this guy.
