What keypad configuration are you using on emudeck? Press L R to start is not working or responding, so I am guessing its an layout configuration issue?
I think it might lag due to the fact that it might be compiling shaders and those stutters should go away. Hope this reply helps even if I answered a year later😅

@@marvelstarwarsfan8410 I actually figured it out. There are modified firmware and keys files online that you'll have to find. place them in specific locations and then the Game will see preconfigured Mii when you boot the game in Yuzu.
you can play locally with other pc users. i use my steam deck, my bro uses his oled model, and my other bro uses his pc. and my friend joins in with the a vpn. works great!
If the Yuzu team can create a custom version of Yuzu designed specifically to get stable performance on the Steam Deck I'll pay for the gold edition or whatever again.
I doubt it since they already have one dedicated to Linux and performance is already really great. Mario kart, super mario 3d world, metroid dread, super smash, and more run better than even a switch.
@@narufan987 from my understanding (i dont have a steamdeck yet), you are able to get at least one other controller connected with a small bit of fiddling, im not sure about having 3 or 4 but it probably works too. Once they are connected it works as it would on switch

as a person that switched * no pun intended* to the deck this might be a viable way to still play the game. i tryed mk8 on cemu and it runs fine but you cant beat all of the new tracks that come with deluxe even witht he booster pack *if you can find the rom*
local wireless can work as long as its not steamdeck and switch. It has to be two of the same emulator for it to work. And its quite a pain to get working
I did not try this emulator in particular, but generally adding more controllers on steam deck is no problem at all. You can even connect PS3, PS4, PS5 or nintendo controllers to it via bluetooth.

Using Vulkan I get steady 60. Intro to the races sometimes drops to 40 at the lowest for me.

You probably need to force the game into portable mode, as if it were an undocked switch game.
the switch drops to 720p anyway when undocked sooo... it's the definitive switch experience???

@@craevhergames you need to delete the old files first. Then you put the new files in the folder and should work.
@@craevhergames complete the keys and firmware set up in Ryujinx, then drag the bis files over instead. Worked for me after trying everything possible

I completed the setup in Ryujinx first, created a Mii, then dragged the bis files over to Yuzu

For gods sake his deck runs better than my laptop on my laptop i just need to put 0.5x resilution and minimize the window to atleast get stable 60 fps
One thing to note is that the steam deck is 16x10, so it's very slightly streached.
You can still use 16x9 native switch on steam deck tho.

You can get the all of the tracks including booster and yuzu I prefer for mk8
