I interpreted it as "Beings don't like being stuck" and I got that from the conversation that he and Eddy had before the "club scene". People don't like feeling stuck and held down. I know this in my own life. I am tired of the "crabs in a bucket" always trying to hold me down, holding me back, and trying to sabotage my own life. I recently had to tell two of my own neighbors to stop talking to me because they come into my life to distract me, hold me down, overly compete with me, sabotage me, and keep me stuck. They are truly "crabs in a bucket".

2:42 i love how gently he pushed this guy aside, Venom may be a symbiote, often depicted as a mindless selfish brute, who only thinks about his own needs
but he _does have_ manners, as proven in that very short interaction
He also said in the first movie to Eddie that where he was from he was bullied and it was implied because he likes to form bonds with hosts like this and humans there is nice parts of venom. Plus I think he likes killing criminals which crosses the line with heroes.

It kills me everything Eddie referenced him as a parasite as he would literally get angry. But I can't remember if it was the first or second movie but Eddie referenced him as a parasite again and he said "You know Eddie. Your broken just as I'm broken. So I'll let that slide"
I know I probably messed up that line but venom is actually kind or this version is as he's has more of a funny personality.
My favorite scene that made me laugh was in this movie when he went to that nightclub. He wanted to hang around people and even told people they're the best 🤣
As the original commenter said. Venom is actually kind and cares he just believes humans that are evil should die and when he first bonded with Eddie. He was a toddler basically but In the comics that's how he felt about criminals and that's what made him hate Spiderman as even in the comics he was depicted as an alien with valid emotions and when spiderman forcefully removed their connection. It impacted him a ton. He cares about humans and he enjoyed being a hero like Spiderman.
Venoms one of my favorite characters as most of the time if he has a villan appearance it's usually because that's a venom that's been emotionally impacted by spiderman so he finds someone who's been hurt by him or Peter. Hence why the hosts are willing to become evil as venom manipulates him.
Carnage on the other hand.... Is pure evil and it's funny as he's technically venoms son. They're the opposites of each other.

In canon the best host and Venom's 'soulmate' is Eddie Brock. They don't care much about gender or physicality, it's about the emotions, the moods, the conversations without words. Pretty interesting stuff in those comics.

Doesn't it come at a price? Venom doesn't kill Eddy because they're a good match, if there's full control, the host may die.
I'm not quite sure, but i think it was stated in the movie that if the host and the parasite ain't working in harmony, they're tend to be weaker in combat?
You have to remember that it's important that they both like each other. If the host doesn't like the symbiote, it will resist all the time or try to get rid of it. When the symbiote does things in the favor of the host, there is little or no resistance and both brains can work in perfect unison.
Prolly cuz Cletus brutality only ends with Shriek, and Carnage doesnt have a limit
I think it's cause Cletus is even more psychopathic than Carnage.

This is why I enjoy the live action Venom movies. They don't portray Venom as you would expect like in the comics, cartoons and even the game- instead you have an alien symbiote trying to adapt to life with a human he's bonded with. This scene is hilarious!
