I love how they adapt to Venom instead of repeatedly shooting useless bullets. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual brain dead enemies.
Why did they absolutely change Venom's personality in part 2 I have no idea. Wish Venom 2 was half as good as this

@@nanisan6312 I dunno, it's weird because I don't quite know how Symbiotes reproduce down to the finest detail, but it kind of seemed like Venom's personality shifted due to the drastic lifestyle change he had to adapt to. Since they seem to be an invasion type species that searches for new planets to inhabit (or destroy?), they likely don't stay in one area for very long and assimilate hosts as need be but don't intend to keep them for long (long as the host could normally live anyway). So all the built up anger and impatience he had seemed to bleed into Carnage.
That being said, the voice is different and Venom himself seems quite different too. Yes Venom admitted there was a very small chance of beating Riot in the first movie, but he didn't really hesitate in the end to help Eddie fight him. Eddie literally had to bribe Venom with a lie to fight Carnage.
Why is Tom Hardy so good at playing dual roles??

I can't stop laughing I didn't even notice it. I don't think it's necessarily accidental but that is some good acting to imitate the stress with voice cracking.
I love this movie so much. It knows how to be funny while not undercutting the menace Venom has. This is an alien who bonds with hosts and eats brains, after all.
Too bad the sequel was a hot mess

Venom should have been more menacing.
It relied on humor too much, in my opinion, it seemed like it was trying to be Thor Ragnarok.

They stayed coordinated, adapted to different methods, kept each other updated on what they were doing and where they saw him. It made the fight feel powerful for the hero while still effective by having the enemy put up a fight.

I really hope we get Tom Hardy to come to the MCU as Eddie Brock. His portrayal of Eddie is great and hopefully the MCU doesn't kill him off in the first movie like Sony did.

4:41 onwards… this is why i love symbiote’s especially venom. The pure power, brutality and strength that’s shown in this scene, how he just dashes them, picks them up, rags them around like paper weights.. I just love it.

@@YesmanNoman The first step before SWAT would ever go in is to set up a perimeter. SWAT isn't sitting around the precinct with all their gear ready to roll out at any one moment. SWAT members are regular patrol officers 99% of their time on duty, and get called in when dealing with a SWAT level contained threat. The first thing police do when performing an organized target building breech and sweep is setup a perimeter in order to contain the threat. The breech and sweep is useless if the target just sneaks out the back door.
Spider Man 2 Venom’s mission definitely took inspiration from this scene 👌

I think Venom is different from other symbiotes because he sees his host as a part of him; he takes the symbiosis to heart. I love it.
This scene is amazing but lets take a moment to appreciate these cops were lowkey putting in work
Most movieswould just show them point guns, all get knocked back and give up
but here they used everything, masks, smoke bombs, flashbangs, infer-red and tried various tactics to subdue the creature

This is how eddie and the symbiote are in the comics. A mutual understanding and biological bond that can only be broken if either one of them die. If one dies, so does the other. But as always, it’s not as simple as that. If the symbiote is still attached to its host when they die, the symbiote will die. The only way to avoid this is by immediately leaving the host body before they die and attaching itself to a new host. The symbiote has been with multiple hosts. However, the venom symbiote has proven that it will jump out of a host without a second thought if it has a chance to get back to Eddie Brock (or peter parker for that matter). But it can’t take anyone as it’s host. The host has to be biologically compatible otherwise, the host will die when the symbiote attaches to them

This scene is a fantastic depiction of what I want from live action Venom. The movies weren't great and I wish we got to see him as a villain first, but in combat he's just cool as shit regardless.

You really realize how horrifying the Klyntar as a species must be if Venom is considered a loser in his culture. Sure you have Riot and Carnage which Venom could some what go against, but it really makes you think of just how powerful some of his brethren are back on their planet.
Wouldn't the swat officers be dead or badly injured justifying how Venom took them down?

for this acting hysterical and on drugs scene, the director told tom hardy to just go into his vanity van and chill and quietly taped him after tom hardy's outburst when the air conditioner was turned off.
I like this kind of Venom and Eddie a lot. Despite my attachment to the comics. Eddie in the comics is a bit sarcastic sometimes and _can_ be funny, but he's mostly spiteful, depressed, and angry. Venom does have a sick sense of humor in the comics, thanks to his previous bond with Spiderman and Deadpool, and taunts his enemies while he fights the same way Spidey does... but in a harsh manner.

if you listen closely at 0:47 eddie says "we" and venom answers back confused saying "we?" that was the first time we heard the phrase "we" in this movie and it actually caught venom off gaurd. my theory is that moment venom knew eddie was the perfect host for symbiosis.

The frequency of the noise is the one he hates, like the one's in planes for example.
It's not the noise it's the frequency that hurts him. High frequency hurts like from a plan or cat scan but guns aren't really that high just loud.
It's probably that the guns have silencers....

Same goes for the SWAT team. They don’t just waste their ammunition the moment Venom shows up. Instead, once the SWAT team realise their guns aren’t affecting Venom, they begin to constantly change up their tactics in an effort to find and identify a weakness that they can exploit.

Find it interesting how the thermal would look realistically. Basically,
White = hot
Grey = room
Black = cold
So venom is so cold that his image is entirely black while somehow his eyes and teeth are hot enough to effectively glow in comparison (ya ik he’s black and white anyway but I think that would at least show up different)

It’s funny how Carnage would avoid bullets from pistols shooting him but Venom takes bullets from assault rifles shooting him like a nuisance.

I really like the new Spiderman 2 Venom more than this, even just based on looks alone. This version looks super good, yeah, but Spiderman 2 Venom just looks so genuinely terrifying.

The runtime for the first Venom film was 1 hour, 51 minutes. If there were 60 trillion Venom movies this exact length, you would have to spend 6,849,315 MILLENNIUMS STRAIGHT to watch them all.
6.8 MILLION millenniums of Venom. 187,652 generations. Each generation of humans is around 30 years long. You can't even pretend to understand how long that is. Imagine sitting down, watching 60 trillion Venom movies. You can't.
