The phone case looks so awkward to hold and use outside of mirror selfies. It’s a social media prop
Meanwhile there’s phone cases out there that have pockets in them meant to hold money, and cards…..so what exactly is so bad about a phone case that can hold a lip gloss. Also, it’s not awkward to hold…..it’s just the way she was holding it.
It looks like something tweens or teens would love, no thanks.

I have a popsocket-type stick on attachment that twists 360° so it can be used as a kickstand too and that's just more useful to me. It can be stuck on any case unless you have a lip balm holster 😅 so I don't think having a thing that holds one brand of lip balm is a better feature. In fact I attach a card/cash holder designed for phones first, then the popsocket thing on top of that, so I don't even need to take a wallet. The socket pushes down flat so it still fits in any pocket my phone fits in, whatever balm or oil gloss I want can go in the pocket too lol
Not interested in doing free advertising for Rhode either.

Yeah, I feel weird paying $15 for Lanolips in the winter even though it's pretty much the only thing that keeps my lips and knuckles from cracking like a dry lake bed, I can't imagine being willing to pay 20+ for just a nice tinted lip balm
They're super expensive where I live, and there's no way I'm paying for that. We don't get Rhode here, not that I'm complaining, lol.
to be honest i thought this too until i tried the summer fridays one and it actually felt way nicer and kept my lips moisturized (I have REALLYYY dry lips)

Influencers in the beauty community should start expanding on how it is so inconsistent and difficult to find shade matches BECAUSE humans do not have yellow, orange, or pink skin!!! Let's start calling out the ridiculous shades they give us to choose from
I am warm toned and I do not have yellow skin!!!! I have gold and Grey and red and pink tones. The first thing you see is my warmth. It's undeniable. Yet I can't find a shade to do me justice. People aren't shades of yellow. Like maybe there's a lot of yellow in your tones, but damn you'd think humans haven't had skin since the beginning of time with some of these brands.
I've been a silent watcher for probably years now but I just have to comment to let you know I love how you get straight to the point in every video. No long intro, just straight to the point of the video.

The cloud paint bronzers are like 5 years too late at least. People have been begging them for a bronzer version of cloud paint for YEARS and they came out with their old shitty glitter bronzer instead lol. With all their formulation changes I don’t think they have the cult following anymore that they used to and people won’t bother with this drop.
I still like their blush! what formulations did they change?
@@elliewolfe9197 they changed a bunch of things over the last few years. The priming rich moisturizer, the perfume, the gen g lipstick, infamously the lip balm, etc. Plus several discontinued products.
I actually think it’s a good launch for them. It may not be very exciting for tiktok audience but for a regular glossier customer or a makeup minimalist is still good.
The bronzers from LYS are super orange leaning. I will say a lot of bronzers turn orange on my pale olive skin, but this went straight orange fruit orange. It was wild.

Another very pale olive here, I know it's not related BUT if yall are super pale and no Foundation works for you, Warm tones are too yellow, cool toned too pink and Neutrals kind of Correct but something is off, YOU'RE A FAIR OLIVE!

I picked up two of the Lipsofties (Ube vanilla and blood orange vanilla) as well as one of the Haus Labs lip glazes (persimmon). They’ve been really great for my work where I have to talk for long periods of time with no opportunity to touch up. Fuss free and adding a little bit of color and moisture. The Tower 28 is definitely more hydrating but I enjoy both. The only downside for me was how bright and pigmented the blood orange one is. Like DAMN that is bright for a lip balm. Some people might really appreciate that though!
Is the persimmon from Haus Labs less bright than Tower 28? I’m trying to decide on which one to buy.
@@candacewashington4099Tower 28 blood orange is much brighter than Haus Labs persimmon; HL persimmon is more nude reddish brown and blood orange T28 is bright orange red. Persimmon is more similar to the ube vanilla from T28. Ube vanilla is a slightly darker burgundy but sheer so it can look pretty natural- similar to Clinique’s black honey.
I'm so glad you said that about Carmex being quite hard and solid. I grew up using carmex and that is how I remember it, but this year I had some strawberry Carmex in the squeeze tube and it is so thin and melty and messy!! I am so confused I literally told myself that every time I used it in my past it must have been cold, but I'm glad you remember it that way too because they def changed the formula!
Powder suspended in water goes back to Avon perfumed lotions in the 1970s, and even liquid baby powder in the early 2000s. I also remember Estee Lauder did a liquid talk perfumed lotion in the 2000s as well, I had it in the "Pleasures" scent.

Maybe this is a horrible idea, but if you used a small amount of a slightly darker shade of the Elf Halo Glow, wouldn’t it do the same thing as the bronzing drops? I just personally don’t understand bronzing drops.

Oh Essence just came out with a brown mascara that is a light brown and looks so pretty. It is Lash Without Limits.
The cloud paints used to be $18 when it first came out. I remember cause I too thought even THAT was too expensive and now they looking like everybody else
I am still on a blush kick. I decluttered expired blush not long ago, and am nearly finished my Tower 28 magic hour. I have two shades of the milk makeup stain, two shades of the Nudestix stick with the glow core and possibly one or two of the new LYS on my wishlist. Bring on the blush!
I recently tried Gwen Stefani's powder blush and I was pleasantly surprised, I use the lavender type one she has, it is absolutely perfect for me as an extremely pale person with cool undertones..
There has a lighter color that you can use a bit larger and a darker color that you can use the blusher to really pop.
Like I know her brand isn't very popular, ever since I used her collaboration with urban decay, her old eye shadow palate that I still used to this day, I always try and give her products at least a little bit of a try.
It feels really nice to use over top blush stains as well the lighter color
I'm super interested in the Supergoop tint, but more as a purse sunscreen, so I can reapply throughout the day, but still keep some coverage. If it ends up being a good product, I'd be SO happy to see them come out with a mini. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Im 55 yo and Lancome introduced Juicy Tubes gloss decades ago and was the rage back then. I prefer this easier application more than a doe foot gloss But im searching for balm with more pigment. Based on your take re: mature products, i may try the Supergoop tint

Crying laughing at "I wannaaa eaatt ittt" with that look on your face. I kind of love that there are so many lip products being launched, but at the same time, a girl can only buy and use so many. And I'm so excited for the Glossier bronzers, I am just waiting for the day that they come out with white, gray, and black in the cloud paint formula and I can have a field day mixing my own colors of my favorite blush, and now, bronzer―would love to see you try them.
Please try the Danessa Myricks! It looks like the perfect product for summer weather but I have combo skin so I don't want it to cling to dry areas.

I am in love with the Physicians Formula liquid bronzer, but they need to step up packaging and colors (only one! 🙁)!! So, I understand why influencers are hesitant to talk about it.But the formula is amazing!
I am loving the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm. They last longer on my lips than Summer Fridays, have more shades, and are only $10!
The lip balm from Nudestix smells even better than the Tower 28. I love them both but like Nudestix a little more. I haven’t heard ANYONE mention them. Very underrated. (They do have a cooling sensation on the lips. Just and FYI for those who aren’t a fan of that.)
I turn 29 on April 28. Whenever I use the a foundation or bb cream that's to yellow on me, the LA Girl Pro Mixing product in blue and mix it in with the Kosas BB Burst Tinted Moisturizer Gel Cream with Copper Peptides in 10N.

I have the strawberry letter perfume and I was not impressed. It smells more masculine and it does not give off sweet strawberry. Just musky with the tiniest bit of sweet. The dry down is not that great at all. I bought the mood ring too and it did not give gummy. I won’t be rebuying 😅
I have only tried the Refy Lip Blush but I love it, and want it in another colour. I might pick up a blush when I pan through a few others I own already. I don't really buy high end mascara and brow products but I love the look of theirs.

I’m very interested and intrigued by the new Danessa Myricks serum to powder primer and the other product that looks like their blurring cream to powder primer but it’s a much different consistency. I don’t really understand what it is. I’m definitely 💯 getting the new Refy mascara! The wand looks a little scary but they claim this mascara will hold your curl all day long.
I ordered the new REM Bronzer and two of their new blushes. I’m excited to give them a try! I saw the Patrick Ta products coming out and I’m definitely going to purchase the new peach 🍑 blush in “She’s the Moment” it looks so gorgeous!!!

Not a fan of celebrity makeup brands, Rare Beauty is the only one that I'm interested in. I would never spend 20+ on a tinted lip balm. I have yet to be tempted by a product from Danessa Myricks. One newer release that I want to pick up is the elf liquid blush.

They are sticky. I am not a fan. I just bought two from the latte collection and regret it.

the rhode lip balms have all turned grainy on me - the brand knows about the issue but has done nothing about it so i won’t purchase from them again. a waste of money for me because i can’t even use them anymore, other than a lip exfoliator 😔

So does the Rhode phone case hold any lip balm or just theirs? I mean how many people play on their phone in the restroom? 😂 I love the new Haus Labs lip products. I’m passing on the Kosas because I’ve seen some negative reviews of it feeling heavy, not sinking into the skin, and not looking good on texture. I purchased quite a few things from this REM launch and I like them. I bought the Cloud Paint bronzers this morning, I love the blush. I’ve been limiting myself to 1 shade of each lip product. Cause there is just SO many!
Some of these phones can get hot, and it would make your gloss so runny. Also, there's the sharp edge of the lip gloss that hangs over the side just a bit and I see that get hung up on things.
Kelly, please try the LYS stick blushes for us! I have the bronzer stick and it is incredible.

in terms of the Catrice Dupe for CT and why its better than the elf imo is 1. its not made in china like the elf, and 2 the most important reason which makes the elf's 1.5ml more of product useless is that the Catrice has a open life of 12 months vs the elf's measly 6. 2 bottles of elf round up to nearly a CT which lasts 12 months so either way the elf not a good deal

Last time I used squeezy tube lip balms, my lips weren't loving it. The formulars of those back in the day were so drying. Also, they're giving teen girly, they just don't look chic to me with that plastic packaging. Do we really need more celeb brands, questionable. Does anyone love and use R.E.M. makeup? Her team should focus on what they're good at, fragrances. Oh no, that Patrick Ta teaser pick reminds me of menstruation, lol.
The r.e.m. packaging looks more intriguing for me. I hated the original packaging.
