I’m a turner but I’m beginning to realize that I’ve focused so much on turns that I have not been working my flexibility 😬 I would love it if you could do a video over extensions
Chloe B I’m working on it!!♥️
THANK YOU. I’m an intermediate and I needed this for auditionssss
this is by far the most useful video on the internet
this helped me sm!! Thank you :) really opened up a whole other side of turns that explained a lot of reasons why i couldn’t balance
Oh good! I'm glad to hear that :-) Good luck with your training!
Hi! This helped my turn so much! Before a had a hard time doing a single, now I close to a double! Thank you!!!
Michele Wright Hi!! I’m so glad to hear that :-) You got this! You’re so welcome!
hi any tips , I used to do a single good but I’m now working on doing a single and double . 😕
I love the technicality of dance. It’s so fascinating. Thank you 🤍
I have danceline tryouts next week and I’ve been busting my butt trying to get my splits and double pirouettes. I’m honestly getting discouraged 😭
Don't be discouraged!!! You can do this!!! Concentrate on getting better, not the negatives. You'll get there :)
Kayleen Babel I got my double pirouette because of your advice. Thank you SO much for the advice!! :^)
@@ajisai3160 yay yay yay!!!! I'm SO happy for you! You're welcome!
Don't be. I just got my splits by lunging and opening the bent leg out
Hi, I hope you made the team and also I have the same problem and also have dance tryouts next week. Any tips pls?
i used to have a solid double and triples on good days, i even did a few quads, but over quarantine i completely lost it and i fall out of doubles 😭
No way, right before I googled this out of frustration I said “Why can’t good turn days be everyday” 😂 intuitiveness and the universes doing I suppose!
Thank you for making this! I’m a dancer and I’ve always struggled with turns but my teacher never explained it in this much detail. I just did a bunch of good doubles, and one triple. This was so helpful and I am greatfull.😊
hi do you mind making a video on tips I need helppp
I could barley do a single now and I’m also trying to do a double . 😕
@@lovelyydaii6078 me make a video or her? Cause I think she already has one possibly on tips.
I'm from the UK and found this video for coursework for college and it's the best advice for me as a dancer, absolutely love this. Thank You Kayleen x
I am left handed, and I am very good at doing turns on my left side. I am trying to learn how to do my right side because my dance teacher won’t let me go with left pirouettes in choreographies. This helps a lot because I have a hard time balancing on my right side. I always fell over lol. Ty this helps a lot!
That my problem, except in right handed but a leftie in dance
I have the EXACT same issue had a sprain on my right foot and limped on my left
Do you have any advice on when you’re turning and you go to fast and you almost fall because sometimes when I do pirouettes I feel like I’m going to fast and Fall forward or trip. I start In the correct prep position and everything is lined up but I fall forward towards the end.
make sure you're not "winding up" your arms and trying to use too much momentum. You need a lot less energy than you think. If you're falling forward, make sure your head is in line with your neck, shoulders, and back... Hopefully that helps!
Engage...omg...of course! How could I forget that!!! Thank you!!
your tips help me so so much! thanks for all that your doing haha😚😚
yayyyyy! you're so welcome :-)
"This is not Dora the Explorer..." LOL. Thanks for the tips! Very insightful suggestions.
I'm literally binging all your videos, you're amazing thank you SO much! You've helped me a ton. I just started dancing about a year ago at 30 and am really trying to learn technique.
I feel like when I go to turn my arms throw me off for some reason. (and trying to spot) Any tips on this? I can be more specific if needed.
Thank you so much!! All these tips combined has helped me achieve more pirouttes everyday that I practice and my turns are being more consistent than ever!!❤💟💞
Awesome! That’s great news!!!! Keep going!🤍
This is really helpful!! but I half the time when I turn, I start to sickle my foot, and I have to keep stopping in the middle to not make it a habit. Do you have any tips for not sickling your foot?
Hmm it could help to just do lots of drills where you don’t turn (just prep to passé relieve), then slowly start to add quarter turns and half turns while keeping good foot placement. Honestly the best advice I can give is to just use repetition and really get the bad habit out of your body. Doing foot strengthening exercises would help as well!
I’m happy to see how much your channel is growing! I was here at 200 subs keep up the good work! Very helpful🤗
My OG fan :-) thanks for the support my friend 🥰

Thank youu!!!! I can only do 4 and now i can to 19 or more 😊
For competition this year, we have to have triples both right and left consistently….

every time i do my turn in seconds my turning foot want to go every direction and it throws me off
Thank you so much :)
thank you! Im trying to learn spins and flexibility and this really helps! I started a few days ago so im pretty rough! Also, I do 2-3 turns when ever i try to spin, but i always fall out and have a terrible landing. Do you know anything that can help with this?
When i do my turns i used to do them anti I’m trying to learn how to do them clockwise, I keep falling is it Becuase if my spotting? and also can h do a video of leg stamina as when I do my turns it’s high at the start and goes down why? Btw love ur vids!! 🥰
For some reason coupe turns are very hard.
I had foot surgery 🥳 anyways I get to do dance soon
I do this weird thing where I turn more towards my pinky toe than towards my big toe and ball of my foot. It’s almost as if I am sickling my foot when I turn. Do you have any tips to help fix that?
Maybe ankle strengthening exercises would help! It's probably a good idea to also go back to working on releves without any turns!
Helpful, thank you :)
Good!!! You’re welcome :-)
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooow ulalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 💗💚🌈❤️❤️💞💘💓🤍😗💔😎💖💛😍♥️😉🇵🇱🌷💝🥇❣️💙😀💜💌🤎👍
Awesome
I can’t do a single turn because I can’t stop on time... I end up doing around 1 1/2 turns but I can’t stop at 2 or stop at 1
same how is it now? and do you have any tips
@@lovelyydaii6078practice jumping out of it .. but don't do it everytime. it helped me.. eventually you'll stop when you want or you could try slowing down
