FIRST BOEING 747 AT LIVERPOOL AIRPORT IN 10 YEARS! | Champions League Final Charters 31/5/19

  • Day 1 of 3 of this years Champions League weekend arguably provided the best movement in recent years. Liverpool has not been graced by a double decker aircraft since EC-KSM brought Real Madrid in 2009. And now 10 years on, as part of the Madrid airlift taking fans to the final. Corsair International Boeing 747-400 F-HSEA made an outstanding approach and landing on Runway 27.
Then just over an hour later, the aircraft, filled with roughly 500 Liverpool fans, taxied out to Runway 27 and departed infront of us, an absolutely amazing sight!
    Also of note today were Ethiopian 787-9 ET-AUP, Virgin A330-300 G-VLUV, Aeronexus 767-300 ZS-NEX and Titan 757-200 G-ZAPX.
The bulk of todays charters were operated by Vueling with a mix of A320 and A321 aircraft. Ryanair operated two flights with EI-FTZ and easyJet's LPL-MAD-LPL flight was operated by A320NEO G-UZHD
    HIGHLIGHTS:
    4:15 - Titan 757 Arrival
    4:53 - Corsair 747 Arrival
    5:49 - Virgin A330 Arrival
    6:50 - Ethiopian 787 Arrival
    9:19 - Aeronexus 767 Departure
    11:12 - Corsair 747 Departure
More from the weekend coming very soon!
    Thanks for watching!

Virgin are a bit iffy with Liverpool it seems, in 2014 they brought the 787 in for training flights and stopped them after a couple of days because of the runway length, perhaps they just wanted to get it down lol

Likely due to the light weight of the aircraft, it was an empty ferry flight back from Madrid!
