+avgeek578156 Thanks a lot for watching my video of Ilyushin aircraft, I'm pleased you enjoyed it and the sounds too! I appreciate your kind comment, thanks.
Back in the 1980s I flew several times on IL-62Ms. First, Aeroflot - Montreal to Moscow return a couple of times and then Cubana, Toronto to Havana return and Toronto to Santiago return several times. I loved being a passenger on the IL-62. Fast and long-ranged and extremely smooth in flight, with very comfortable seats with lots of leg room. And because the four engines were in the rear rather than on the wings, in flight the passenger compartment was virtually noise and vibration free, even on takeoff. It was a wonderful airliner. I miss it.
Hahaha, those warnings! True though! What a rare and beautiful compilation. The sounds are definitely awesome indeed. Genuinely enjoyed this Russian collection, mate! The shot at 9:18 is my favourite. 4 engines on the tail, who'd ever thought of that. Looks cool. Anyway, a big thumbs up for this video, mate!
+Aviation NLNZ :-) Thanks for watching my video of the Ilyushin aircraft at London Stansted. Hopefully those warnings aren't overkill. I put them there because of people listening with headphones or with the volume already quite loud! I'm really pleased you enjoyed the video thanks for liking it.
I listen to these old girls when they spool up for takeoff...always sounds like the engines come up in pairs..maybe inboards followed by outboards (or visa-versa). sounds so cool.
Hello dirkhh22 thanks a lot for watching my video of Ilyushin aircraft at London Stansted Airport. The sound is great and a real blast from the past. It was very nice to catch these aircraft.
Airbus trainer (43, Captain, ATPL, 5000hours): "At 50ft, look down the runway, keep steady sink rate, at 20 ft, close thrust levers and gently raise the nose to flare the aircraft, make sure the rear wheels touch down first before gently settling the front landing gear" 5:50 Ilyushin IL76 trainer (63, Commander General with multiple stars and stripes on his shoulders, 20000 hours on the IL76 having previously flown the thing in Afghanistan and commanded a squadron of TU95 bombers in far east Russia during the Cold War): "Xexexe, cute. In Soviet Russia you don't approach runway, runway approach you with all your wheels on the runway at once. Idle power, pitch up and flare when you roll out, blyat".
Fantastic video. You guys are lucky in the UK. Russian and Ukrainian planes can not land here in the US, (I guess they don't meet our aircraft regulation laws) so we will most likely never see these beautiful birds at our airports. Not only do they look good, they also sound great!
Hello TrainTrackTrav thanks a lot for watching and commenting on my video of the Illyushin aircraft at London Stansted Airport, I am pleased you enjoyed it. It is very nice to be able to capture aircraft of different makers, too many of one or another can get a little boring for planespotters! It's always nice to catch aircraft of another era as well and to absorb that engine noise! thanks again.
+mylosairplanefan Thanks a lot for your nice comment on my video of Ilyushin Aircraft at London Stansted, I am really pleased you enjoyed it and I am very grateful for your kind words.

+Ernest Johnson Many thanks for watching my video of Ilyushin Aircraft Ernest, I'm glad you enjoyed this one along with the other Antonov and Tupolev videos I have re-edited recently. Thanks for your support.
Hello Christian, thanks for watching my video of the Ilyushin aircraft at London Stansted Airport. Russian built aircraft certainly have some character and their relative rarity makes for interesting videos and photos. Thanks for commenting.
Very nice video!Thank you! I live in Moscow and catch only IL-96 in VKO because another planes fly to another airport with strong security, but I hope that I will catch them too😄 You're very lucky man that catch all of them!😊 Congratulations😄
Hello AiR8964 thank you very much for your kind comment on my video of the Ilyushin Aircraft seen at London Stansted Airport. I am pleased you enjoyed it. I am very pleased to have been able to catch a number of different types and hope to see some again in the future!

Hello Paul Stewart, thanks very much for watching my video of Ilyushin aircraft at London Stansted Airport. Having read a review of the North Korean air display and tours I think it would be a good opportunity to see such vintage jets. Enjoy the sights - and sounds! Sorry for my slow reply.
Awesome set again mate! Been looking at other Ilyushin vids and pilots always throttle up and hold the brakes-this cultural or are the planes crummy?🤔 P.S- awesome low-bypass turbofan sound!!!
+franthree Hi there, thanks a lot for watching and enjoying my video of Ilyushin aircraft at London Stansted Airport. All aircraft have their own operating guidelines and not being a pilot myself i wouldn't be able to comment on the way in which they throttle up etc. There's really nothing crummy about Russian built jet liners, some of the technology may be different, and the commercial success has often been limited to former Soviet countries but testament to the build is the fact they are still operating.
One of my favourite videos on youtube! I don't know if you've done this yet or not but I would love to see a Ukranian/Antonov aircaft video by you! Keep up the great work, as you know, I'm a very enthusiastic subscriber of yours David, especially when it comes to the rare/soviet metal!! :D

Hello ValvesPerCylinder, thanks for watching my video for Ilyushin aircraft at London Stansted - filmed at a time when international relations were in a much better situation than they are sadly in today. These aircraft were at the airport ass part of VIP arrivals ahead of / and then departing after, the London games. These are soviet era aircraft and were relatively rare at the time of filming, rarer still now, though the IL-96 is still used by the regime as VIP transport.
Hello, thanks for watching. Yes Interflug was an East German airline, operating before the unification of Germany. East Germany had close ties to the Soviet Union and may have been one reason Interflug operated the IL-62
Hello Abees Alsharani thank you for watching my video of Ilyushin Aircraft at London Stansted Airport. Not all of the footage was obtained in one day, rather this was a collection of footage that I gathered over time. I hope that helps.
Awesome Russian aircraft collection and beautiful loud sounds these birds make !!

I really love the IL-62, with those 4 rear engines !!
Must say the Soviet Union produced some very good and iconic planes, both for military and passenger use. The Il 96 in particular looks awesome!
Very good soviet airplanes 👍👍👍👍👍
that old beat up il-76 is glorious, I love that plane.
I'm glad I flew the IL. 62 M many times. Great machine for sure.
От самолётов Ильюшина прёт какой-то брутальностью. Красиво и мощно! ))

"Warning: This video contains loud engine noise especially on takeoff"
**turns up volume all the way**

This video is simply smashing. Thanks for sharing these Russian beauties.
Excellent filming
10 out of 10.
Love that quality noise pollution.
Hello Luc, thank you for watching my video of the Illyushin Aircraft. I appreciate your comment.
Fantastic soviet planes. The soviets had very inventive and some excellent vehicles at the time.
Airbus trainer (43, Captain, ATPL, 5000hours): "At 50ft, look down the runway, keep steady sink rate, at 20 ft, close thrust levers and gently raise the nose to flare the aircraft, make sure the rear wheels touch down first before gently settling the front landing gear"

I love the whistling sound of engines of that time- d30, JT3D, and others

Loud noise specially on take off?..I don think so
Thanks for video. I thought that russians planes are too noisy for european airports.
Пипец, че ИЛ-76 облезлый такой? Хоть-бы для приличия покрасили что-ли?
Needs a new paint job. Nice vid
I guess there is no noise abatement in russia.....??......................
The only noise abatement rules in Russia seem.to apply to anyone with an alternative view to government. Thanks for watching.
