I use the flowers I learn from you and....I PUT THEM ALL OVER A PLAIN PILLOW!!! A pillow that I buy from the Dollar Store. Mikey, you are so great!! The pillow is like a throw pillow!
I love these flowers!! I made them from the first pattern. They are fun and quick to make. I used them to cover hair buns for a dance show they were perfect and everyone raved about them. I think I shall make some more maybe for a purse or something. Thank you Mikey for reposting this pattern.
Ok so I've been out of the Crochet world for ...yearssss, but picked it back up this week. This tut was so easy to follow and it's SO BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for showing me this It looks so beautiful on my granddaughter's headband :D
I love this flower and made it in cotton to go on the chemo hats I am making. I did make a change and instead of chaining 3 in the last row, I mixed it up between chain 1, 2 and 3. By the way, the link above takes you a review for a book instead of the pattern for the flower. Thank you to all at The Crochet Crowd for what you do,
hello....yes Mikey has a facebook page...if you search the crochet crowd and hit like your in and you can share your pics and comments etc..... :) cathy@ the crochet crowd helpdesk :)
I Loved the way this came out. I did one and gave it to my 9 yr old daughter and now she wants to learn how to crochet...Thank you. What would you suggest I do to start her on learning to crochet?
I wanted a nice large floppy flower to add to a poncho I made for my 3 year old niece. However, I made the poncho with Lion Brand Homespun yarn, which is a quite a bit thicker than the yarn used in the video, and a J hook (which I think is a little small for the pain in the neck homespun yarn). The flower came out beautiful but was way to big for the rather small poncho. So, I played with ways to make it smaller. I ended up chaining 3 to make a ring, 8 sc's into ring, then 6 hdc into each sc. Then ended with the sc-ch3 round - for the Homespun, a sc-ch2 would have also worked for the edging but, for me, the more "sloppy" it looks, the better. It's still big and floppy but a better size for what I need. Thank you for the pattern for this super easy flower, I will be making it again. It's also easy to alter the pattern if need be.
Thanks Mikey. I put this bloom on the stem I crocheted around a wire hanger from another of your tutorials..It looks amazing. Are you on Facebook. I'll post a pic to your page. Thanks again.
@Jen1971atCraftyKnits the Bernat Mosaic yarn Mikey is using in this tutorial is a 4 ply yarn but it actually has thinner parts and then alternates to thicker parts but over all it is a 4ply ....cathy@mikeys helpdesk
Well this totally freaked me out. I started making this and I looked up at the "flowers" at the corner of my desk. This looks like a 90ish year old crochet flower pattern. Well i guess i can add more flowers to the collection now.

How can you make the flower larger? Can you add rows? Thank you
Very nice
I love the way this turned out, but how would this flower be used? Could leaves be added? Could it be flowers on a scarf??
I can't for the life of me make a flower. I think i can do this one tho. Thanks for the idea.
Super ,i want to make thes bigger any advice?
thank you dear...
@Manahmazing It's the way my mother showed me
realmente excelente ,gracias
J
Gracias , es fantástica
Love this, I favorited it! Is that a word? lol
Would love to see how to make one on a loom. Any ideal?
pretty
Is it possible to make more rows to "tighten" the flower even further?
Mikey, did you get the pics of my crocodile purse? I sent them to you. What did you think of the additions I put on it?
hi Mikey! I love this flower, how can I make a smaller version of it for my hair?
misspmorris if you use a smaller hook and yarn it should come out much smaller. I'm making them for hair clips now 😊
Is this a fidget toy? How do you make it so it continuously can be pulled through the middle?
I don’t understand your question.
Hi Master of crochet !
