Congrats! I have owned my 87 944 for 20 years this month. I smile every day.
I bought a 87 red 944 last week, needs a fair bit of cleaning , but no dents and very good interior! !! I got it for 2 grand !! I also have a 951 track car !!!!!😄😄😄😄😎😎😎😎😎😎🍺🍺🍺🇺🇸🇩🇪 here is my track car !! Enjoy !!
This is my dream car at the moment, I can sense your excitement and its awesome to see! Makes me want a 944 even more!
Such a brilliant car, thanks for watching!
best regards from germany. I bought my 944 six years ago. enjoy!
Thank you very much! Brilliant car!
Good choice
you don't need to kick the pedal to start it, its injected, not carburated, the pedal is only the throttle body opening for air
Well. I have one and you need to feather the pedal when cold
@@drunvert Mine doesn't require any input when cold. I wonder if yours has an idle air control valve issue, and not initiating the cold high idle. Or maybe a vacuum leak. But if it runs good when warm ig its not a huge deal.
Love the enthusiasm! These are fun cars - still have mine that I bought new in 1984. Great roads in your country - look forward to seeing future videos!
congrats!! such a stunning car, can‘t wait to see more of it!
Heaps more incoming!
Your smile when you accelerated says it all!
944 has aged so well
I bought mine 6 years ago with 46.000km in the odometer. Put 40.000km on it so far and LOVE it every minute, every day. Drove many cars that had 3x the power but in everyday, real driving in the pursuit of the perfect line the 944 is unprecedented. Even the 911 cannot match it, except for sound in my opinion. Best purchase! Keep it forever!
Thanks so much! Love to hear all the stories of other owners, makes me excited to go out and drive straight away!
Hey, how is the maintenance?
I live where there are lots of turns. Have a 2016 manual Cayman. But the 944 feels like I'm in Highschool again
Just bought one of these. Same year, same color and I'm stressing out about my classes. Good luck on everything - I look forward to see what you get done with it.
As usual, manual transmission only 😂
haha, I will drive manuals for as long as I can!
1983 has the 143hp engine, not the 163, but its the only year with fully forged internals for the naturaly aspirated. Also, I think you have the sport seats option, of which I am so very jealous
hmm... in another video the seats look like standard seats, so sorry bout that lol... still script seats which is very cool too!
Every 944 from 82-85 have 163 hp, exept for usa
Me too. I have the crap seats
I just bought my second 944, this time an ‘87 N/A in Malvern Red. 40,000 miles.
The vibration is probably the old clutch disk, it will cause a lot of vibration before it fails. There are good clutch kits for replacement. Suggest look at that.
Most if not all have failed and been replaced with a conventional disk by now
I'm on original. At 60k mi
I’m gonna buy 1 myself, this is the better looking porsche in my opinion
Fully agreed!
Wow, I was searching this as I'm thinking of this as my first car, and they're kind of cheap where I live. Hopefully this is my first car after seeing the joy on your face.
Hope you‘ll find the right one!
@@AmazingCarsSwitzerland Thanks, I hope so too.
@@saketnaik1 have you gotten you’re license yet? And did you get the Porsche?
Congrat for buying this 944
Notice : Completly useless to kick trhottle berfore starting the engin. It's a Bosch Ljetronic ( Electronic injection )
You don't have to hit the gas pedal before starting! !!! There are check valves in the fuel lines !!!😄😄😄😄😎😎😎🍺🍺🇺🇸🇩🇪
Thanks for the tip! Didn't know!
@@AmazingCarsSwitzerland no worries man !!! I have been around 944's for a long time! Getting a 87 944 that needs some love but looking forward to bringing it back to the street !! Last on the road in 2005 😎😎 my 86 turbo needs no work 😄😄😄🇺🇸🇩🇪 check it out! !! ruclips.net/video/oaIYffwo1DI/видео.html
Own 2. 84 all original with 27k on it. And a 89 951. Not original but damn nice with 98k on it and am pushing 400hp. Both are majorly underrated. My 84 is my favorite car to drive.
Does the 84 have the manual steering rack?
Notice the smile never left his face
I can see the happiness on your face. Congrats...Enjoy the beast!!!.
Thank you so much! It truly is an amazing car.
Beautiful car! If you don’t mind me asking what Ray bans are those?
So Cool! Hope you enjoy it, good to see you also appreciate classics!
Thank you so much! Lots more to come.
My 80's atainable dream car 😍 nice car man
Thank you!
best regards from Korea. I bought my 78' 924 from Australia about 24 years ago and still I have her.
I had also the happiness just like you when I bought the 924.
I hoped to drove by my 924 especially from Leukerbad to Leuk downhill when I had stay the Leukerbad hotel at the time when I had been to lovely Switzerland for honeymoon 10 years ago.
Watching your video reminds me of the joyful that times.
I think that Porsche 924 / 944 / 968 is one of best Porsche ever made for fun to drive especially to unhitch a targa roof is best for open-air drive and popup headlight is so cool.
Enjoy your 944.!! :)
Amazing to hear all the cool stories that come with Porsche owners! Hope you can make it to Switzerland again & thank you!
@@AmazingCarsSwitzerland Yes.I love the Switzerland so much.
I hope to travel again with my daughter to Switzerland where there are many friendly Swiss.
Just a Quick tip...never give gas before starting the engine... that’s only necessary with carburators...944 is injection !
Havé fun
s amazingste car im schwizerland 🔥🔥🔥
My first car was a white 1986 944. I absolutely loved it. Cool video! Cheers
I can’t wait to get mine 😍
You Did Really Great job
Amazing video!! Btw I’m wondering if the 944 is fuel efficient?
Bullgamez yes, mine do over 20mpg in mixed driving in US mpg. My best will do 11.0 l/ 100 km. This is in mixed driving, air on, so on the freeway only with no air conditioning expect more probably better than 10l per 100km. Turbos a bit lower.
Porsche’s are the best, Period!
This is so cool, good buy!
Thank you!
I would love to buy one! They’re so cool. Great video
Nice. Good luck with her. I have an 1987 base. Love it. Will be watching from The States.
Im so happy for you. You smiled all time😁👍
Congrats mate. I've just bought one myself in guards red, with turbo wheels.
Forget driving it, I'm happy just sitting in it and having a beer, grinning to myself that I managed to my hands on a porsche!
Congrats. I just purchased an 84 and I feel the same way. it was always a dream for me to own a Porsche I have a channel as well and did a few videos
Congratulations! Hope you're having a blast with it!
Beautiful car
Hello!! Great video bud, I just had a quick question. Where is the hand brake located?
Thanks a lot! It's located on the left side, all the way down.
My dream car, good to see you enjoying it ;)
Amazing car!
great video and 944. I have 944S 1987 and 968 and 928s4 love them all . remember hold on to it do not sell it bec they are hard to find now days and the rest of them are junk only few good ones left. enjoy it man.
Thank you very much! Sounds like you have quite the collection there. I sure will keep it!
Looking forward to the day I ll be driving my own 944 s2
What a beauty, congratulations!
Thank you!
You pulled out right infront of that hyundai at the beginning lol
Is a automatic 944 rare or something cause I have one
Congrats man!
Thank you!
Still dreaming of one of these
Yeah dude, this will be sick
Lots going to happen soon!
Congrats, how is your experience today with 944?
Loving every drive!
Amazing video, I've been wanting to buy one for a few months now but I'm worried that the backseats are completely unuseable. I don't plan on often having three passengers but sometimes for like 30 kilometer distances or so, will it be possible?
I had three passengers in the car a couple of times already. It definitely isn't spacious but for a 30 minute drive it works out just fine!
@@AmazingCarsSwitzerland wow thanks! I need people to tell me this so I can pull the trigger and buy it already :)
I have found in my ownership of now my 2nd 944 that the back seats are virtually, as you mentioned, useless for humans- great for dogs & backpacks. Unless all of your friends are are shorter than 5’ and thin builds, you will need the sunroof open to accommodate decent headroom- and I truly mean decent. This is totally fine permitting and weather, but something to consider. I truly believe that this is not an issue and there aren’t many times people even WANT to climb in the back, and if they do- make it quick, lol. These cars are worth every penny and as long as you can find a local shop you trust and pick up a decent example, you will have a blast for 200k+ miles no problem.
Thats cliffjumper
I’m trying to get one as my first car but my dad says it’s not reliable enough. 😥😂It’s cool that your so happy to have one!
Yeah the 944 surely is not an ideal ‚daily‘ but still such a brilliant car. Hope you‘ll get the chance one day!
I love my 2.7 L auto !
I had a 86 944 and is the best car I ever had.. And ive had a 911 and a 928 but the 944 was the best
Agreed!
Nice Looking you are guy
Mein Vater hat auch einen 944 S1 in silber. Sehr schönes Auto!
Der Braucht einen Fuchsauspuff ansonsten genau wie meiner bis auf den Innenraum

wooooww😍
Are the Vibrations manageable? Is it that bad?
Totally manageable. I just did the comparison to a modern car to which the difference is quite significant!
Good luck 👍 great car ...i have the same😉
Thank you!
