Mustie1--- love your channel . Love this channel also, but I doubt he has the stash of snow blowers you do ? Does he even have ONE ? You know that stuff was probably all melted by afternoon and temps were tolerable . Us northern boys know what a bitch cold and real rust can be . LOL .
"Vintage Chevrolet Trucks" bunch of old parts stuck together but you did a good job putting them back together. Are you hoping for a white christmas, we never get those in Florida.
Nice machines! The interior of your ‘55 brings back memories, because my dad used to own a ‘56. The retro sound looks good in your square body. I own an ‘85 and it is the exact same colour as your square body. I also own a ‘68. I think a factory looking radio would look good in your ‘72.
Ahhh, yes.... The Great White North... How I remember it fondly. I wish we all had video cameras back in the 70's to capture some of our horrendous cold starts (and fails) of our wonderful non-EFI wheels back in the day. A time and a place where Mr.HevyShevy and his fleet would have fit right in, the only thing he'd want might be a stronger battery, or a block heater. But speaking of block heaters, I'm not hair to make fun of the follically challenged.
Isn't it funny how some of the "more modern" vehicles REFUSE to start on the first crank but start right up on the second try?? My son had a 90 GMC that was like that its whole life. Nice Xmas deco on the front of the 55. Mrs Pappabob does that on her car here every year too. Hers doesn't ever get all that white stuff on it however. 🤓😂🤠👍👍
Gee mrhevyshevy I guess you don't mind the fact that cold starts are hard on engines and exhaust systems especially when you can't drive them. I know you do it for the benefit of us fans thanks. It's so bad in va that church was cancelled
where I live here in Queensland it gets cold too in winter. This year i think winter was on a Wednesday ,cant remember precisely which day winter was though....
That's not cold ! LOL I live in Wisconsin . Bet that was all melted and temps nice by after noon. Back it the day I would crank and pump and hope it fired before the bat went dead just like that. I love old trucks but I don't miss that . I am spoiled now. With fuel injection if it don't fire up after two turns of the crank shaft I instantly start to think Oh no... but then it fires up . Multiple failed in tank electric fuel pumps will do that to you. Not on my current vehicle but on a 98 jimmy I put 3 pumps in but my current vehicle a 2003 safari van shares the same basic drive train and the previous owner already put a new pump in it. So I get a bit nervous when it don't fire up immediately .
when I lived in Minnesota where it was actually cold. It was never a good idea to cold start vehicles unless you were going to drive it for a ways. just cold starting would foul up the plugs and polite the oil. I always waited till I needed to use the vehicle and drive it. about 1960 the 55 chevy 6 sitting out in the cold did not immediately start. it was 45 below zero. I went in the house and got a tea kettle full of hot water and pored it over the manifold. that did it. and it started up. kept it running and drove it 10 miles to town and 10 back. one thing about old chevrolet 6 over head valve engines was they would start in the cold better than anything else.
How much snow did you guys finely end up with? I was hearing there was 24 inches in places in NC. We got 4 inches and you would of thought people had never seen it that deep before.
you know its cold when the vinyl seat makes a crackin noise when you get in.

Full house i would say... Thanks for sharing sir...
Im sure someone will complain that its not cold enough for a cold start. It must be that southern snow that is warmer

No snow up here in the great , not so white north ! Usually it snows here in early November.
Haven't had a decent sprinkle of that white stuff in December here since 2010, all it does lately is rain.
Yes. It needs a radio
Nothing but rain down here in Anson County NC. Lots of rain.

Nice it's 81 here in Miami
You don't know cold until you come up north around the great lakes 😨

Incredible. Imagine pouring hot water on the engine of a new truck, it would set off sensors and you would have to pay 2k to fix it 😂
I love the 55
Me too
32 deg Celsius today. My red nose got redder. I may get a gig pulling a sleigh soon perhaps
Sounds nice...
Nice. Good snippet.
Yes fix the seat , lol
what the..., I live in Canada and I haven't had snow yet
We have a ice storm here in West Tenn this morning no power in the north part .
You bought a Duramax??! They are super nice trucks.
How many more keys can you fit on that key ring sir?
Probably a few more.
We got 13.9 inches of snow 2 weeks ago how much did you all get down there
Brrrrr that's to white and cold for me
Ah the joy's snow.
What is all that white stuff on the trucks and ground?
I had no doubt.
Brrrrrr!!!
What's that white stuff around your house they don't get that way stuff down here. Sometimes it happens usually not
Cragers back on the 55?

Around 3 inches
@@MrHevyshevy That's enough to make things pretty for a bit, I take it it was short lived by the videos though. Have fun with the turbo build.
