I literally just found that exact camera at my parent’s house, amongst other vintage stuff.
I think the fact that with 20€ you only get 8 pictures is one of the upside of these types of machines: it really makes you think about and choose the right moment, so that you can appreciate it the most, cause you have limited pictures until you buy some more. These days with phones, we just take thousands of pictures and they get lost in the camera roll.. I’m so glad I found this Polaroid
I totally agree! This is the exact reason why I shoot film now because the photography experience is much more engaging because it involves a lot of effort compared to shooting digital. I have thousands upon thousands of digital pictures that I maybe looked at once when I shot them. With film and especially with Polaroid it feels much more thoughtful and personal
I got one, for 20 Euros,in perfect condition. It's beautiful, and a perfect companion for my classic spirit 600,which i use for taking pictures of landscapes, and i use the 636 ,haha, for close up shots.
nice review! yea i wish the film was more affordable too!
Thanks! Yeah it's a shame in my opinion because it holds people from buying it... Also thank you for subscribing! Your the first stranger to subscribe to my channel 😅
omg in Moldova it sells at like $40, used ofc, but working and in perfect condition
At my country,It’s like 90 bucks! I really wish it’d be cheaper,I don’t have enough money to buy two films,i don’t even have enough to buy one. (yet).
I was looking for some information on this camera, thanks for the video, its really nicely edited and you pretty much covered everything i needed to know, keep on recording more reviews! :)
Thank you so much for your kind comment! It really motivates me to start making more videos! :)
i loved the review and vibe of this video so much
Thank you so much! These kind of comments always motivate me to make more videos!
i just found a polaroid camera in my office and your video is the first I saw and it's really beautiful. im a photographer from Nigeria.
That's great! Is it the same Polaroid as mine? And does it still work? It's also nice to hear that my video came up first 😃
bastian on film yup the exact same! Do you shoot and post your pictures? What’s your Instagram? And how do you have a cat and dog? Haha
@@divineokolo1163 sorry for late reply! I have an Instagram called @bastianvisuals but it's kind of dead because I don't like Instagram so much anymore. But I may post again in the future if I feel like it. And yes I have a cat and dog! They don't mind each other at all but they rarely interact.
can't stop looking at the cat on the background lol
Haha it's the channels mascot
I love everything about this video! You, the way you explain, your dog, your room and your cat. So cute
Thank you very much for saying that! This really means a lot to me!
I loved it! My mom gave me one many years ago and I want to use it. Thank you so much. Greetings from Mexico.
That's really amazing! I'm glad that I could be of any help to you. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Brilliant vid, very artsy and great vibe ✨
Thank you very much for the kind comment!

Thank you for the encouraging comment! I hope it works too!
Thought the brown cat was fake, it is focused! Nice doggo, good video.
I had this camera in 90th when I was a kid. Actually It was my first camera. After watching this video I think that I need to find it. 😊
Oh my Goodness I thought you have 2 cat statues until its actually a real cat when it moves at 3:44
Haha yeah it was a totally unintentional
Nice to finally find a review about this type of camera. Do you by any chance also have experience with the type 600? I am having difficulty choosing between those two types as my next camera so any proper experience would be helpful with this!
Thanks alot! Sadly I don't have experience with the type 600 but my advice would be to just go for the one that's the cheapest because I don't think there's much difference in image quality 😅
what a cool video! cute dog!!
Thanks!
Whats the difference between the 636 and Close Up?
I really like the look of the outcoming picture, but it dosen't seem to handle darkness pretty good. Also when you mentioned the price for each picture, it seemed very expensive...
Hey my camera got hot no flash comes out and brand new cart please help😢
cool but mine has a picture counter. When i insert a film with 8 photos will the counter stay on 10 or go down to 8
good work!!!
Thank you so much!
Cool video :) I found the same camera at my parents house :]
Your cat completely stole the show!
Hahaha she definitely did!
Das grüne Licht geht bei mir nicht mehr an woran liegt das?
I like
I thank
wowowowow
goede video man! 10/10
Dankjewel!
I bought the same one but I haven't tested it. So it may or may not work. Question is if I insert the film canister and it doesn't work, can I still get may film canister back without it being exposed? Thank you.
When you insert the film canister, a paper cover comes out immediately so you can take pictures.
If your camera doesn't do anything, the paper cover is still protecting the images so you can remove it safely.
If for some reason the cover paper comes out but your camera doesn't take any pictures you can try to go to a very dark room without any light (or an actual darkroom), take out the canister and put the paper cover back into the canister (takes a bit of fiddling but it's possible).
In theory you shouldn't have exposed the first picture, but in the worst case scenario you only accidentally exposed the first picture and the other 7 pictures will be fine.
Hopefully this answers your question! If you have any further questions just ask them!
how long does it take after you have taken to picture to show fully on the paper? And do the baterys last long?
Good video btw
Thank you! It takes a while... Like a few minutes or something I'm not sure, but definitely not a long time. And the battery is within the polaroid cardridge so everytime you put new photo's in the camera you'll have a new battery.
A bit late, but I've found one of these at my grandpa's and the cartridge still had battery, being from the early 2000s... So that's your answer lol
Hi may I ask you a question? Which is the difference between this model refurbished and a new Polaroid model ? Is the same thing?
You mean the new Polaroid camera's you can buy in the store like the one step 2?
The difference is that they have batteries in the body instead of a battery build in the film cassette. Therefor they use I-Type film that doesn't include a battery in the film cassette.
I hope this answer your question! Let me know if you have more questions.
Kind regards, Bastian
@@bastianonfilm thx so much
Hi, i found my mom camera that age 10 years and may i know is this using battery?
Hi! that's so cool! When you buy a pack of pictures for the polaroid. The cardridge with the pictures also functions as a battery. So you don't need extra batteries.
@@bastianonfilm omg thankyouu so much! btw i love your channel send love n hugs from malaysia🇲🇾🎞
i found one at a second hand store for 15€ i think i might buy it
Good deal!
How did you scan them?
Excuse me for the late reply. I scanned these Polaroid pictures by just putting them in the build-in scanner of the printer we have.
How come my pictures are blurry tho?:/
In low light the pictures tend to get blurry because of the camera choosing a longer shutterspeed. Polaroids need lots of light so anything darker then a bright sunny day the pictures can get blurry 😢
Where can i buy paper fot photo?
I think you can find it in your local camera shop. If not than online it's widely available
I have one never been use
Cool!
How much does this camera cost?
Depends on where you buy it, but on eBay it’s ranging from 30 to 80 dollars
Great video.
Can we have more? 😊
*more Polaroid-themed videos :)
@@myperspectiveisimnotblind Thank you! I probably do more Polaroid/instant film videos in the future
@bastian on film thank you, that would be awesome!
The quality of your videos is really good, and I can't wait to watch more :)
I hope you have more on the way.
Have a great day!
@@myperspectiveisimnotblind aw thank you that means a lot to me!
