Fallout was pretty good, but even with the pacing in S2 I think for it's execution and the overall storytelling it should've still won... Again! This is only my opinion!
I guess it depends on how you're judging it really. As an adaptation, I would say Fallout is more faithful to its games. It just feels like Fallout through-and-through. But as a standalone thing that just happens to be an adaptation, Arcane is clearly the superior product, but it doesn't really feel like the game in any way at all. They're both great, though. I'm just happy we're finally getting videogame adaptations that don't suck.
While Arcane was a masterpiece in every right, I understand why Fallout beat it for best adaptation. After all, when people recommend Arcane, their first sentence is usually "You should give Arcane a chance, it's not at all like the game"
This shocked me immensely. Like fallout was good but Arcane was fantastic. Then knuckles was also really good. I didnt think Fallout was coming close but it won somehow.
The project has a worse production value than season 1 but I disagree with it being worse. To me it’s so clear that everyone involved at every stage has refined their craft in such a crazy amount, giving a better product.

This is tough. Based on the show by itself i think Arcane is better specially it has 2 seasons and a more complete story however as an adaptation there's a really strong arguement for Fallout specially Arcane's story quality dipped between seasons. In my eyes both cam win for different reasons, I just hope Fallout can keep up or improve witht he following seasons to justify beating Arcane this year.
The think about fallout is that everything feels right, even when the dialogue feel quirky it only because thats the kind of dialogue for it.its a strong solid series
I honestly dont think s2 deserved an award. s1 for sure, but s2 messed up all the writing in so many places. Its still peak, but fallout was through and through good, why give two awards to the exact same series after they kinda uncook some of their first season cooking when you got new chef cooking a separate series that is also peak?
If this how good Fallout is, maybe it will blow my mind the same way as Arcane did, especially when I was never familiar with LoL lore. The great thing about Fallout so far is the cinematography. Beautiful, stunning and humongous.
- Arcane already won in S1 - keyword: video game ADAPTATION - Arcane didn't adapt League, it adapted the fking lore champions wiki. Real league players know Arcane is NOTHING like League. Fallout however captures the atmosphere of the games making it feel like you're actually playing the games
I think its more because the fallout show adapted the game and captured a lot of its feel. Whereas arcane adapted the lore of the game, but the gameplay itself is unadaptable so of course they didnt even try.
You know what? Fine. It finished like a few weeks before the Game Awards, season 1 already won the award, people haven’t had enough time to digest season 2 still, Fallout can have it this time.
It was obvious. Arcane S2 came out around the voting phase. Not everyone got to watch it yet, even I watched 2 weeks after it released because of busy schedule. But who cares? I bet it will still get more Annie and Oscar awards than Fallout.
Fallout was good and you can argue that it was a more faithful adaptation, but arcane is on a whole other level. 10 years from now, people will still be talking and thinking about this show.
Arcane S2 was not weaker till ep 7, they just did too much in 2 ep while they could have done a s3 in those last 3 episodes and it would have stayed a masterpiece from 1st season to the last.
Disappointed Arcane did not win... The raw emotions you felt for each character were too mind-blowing, and the music - just everything - was so fantastically futuristic and amazingly top of the charts stuff. We are definitely watching Arcane again 1st and 2nd season in the holiday season :D Arcane You Are Winners To Your Biggest Fans 🏆
like how everyone is saying fallout won because its a better adaptation of the game.... then cyberpunk edgerunners shoulda won against it, it was a better adaptation of the game then Arcane season 1. and u know what, a lot of people would have been okey with it, it was up there with arcane, cant say the same about fallout.
For this year Awards show IGN put soo much influence and rigged a lot of stuff, for example they put voting system for the GAME of the year but then screwed points from Wukong and made them lose the award, also they rated arcane 7/10 which is crazy cuz literaly every other platform rated arcane atleast 9, and IGN being that big influenced this aswell, also its not the first time The Game awards rigged some vottings this show is heavily influenced by western politics, they purposefully giving awards towards the best choice for the politics
Arcane is so far away from the games that I think it's completely okay to say it's not the best "adaptation". It's great but it's original work, script, and in a lot of ways even original characters and universe, but as far as a true adaptation of a game/series, Fallout landed the feeling much better
See fallout may be a better adaption than arcane for lol but not for some dumb reason that it’s not like the actual game it’s because the story fully contradicts points previously established instead of arcane adapting to lol the game adapted to arcane which makes my oppinion of its adaptation weird
No this is fair, the award was best adaptation and Fallout is a far better adaptation even though Arcane is better from a film standpoint. Fallout really felt like a Fallout game where you follow 3 different kinds of players: Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul. Arcane is just based of the lore of LoL and isn’t actually anything like the game.
Personally, Fallout feels more like a game adaptation than Arcane, "best adaptation" doesn't mean best writing or visuals, pretty sure they have their own category. Fallout beats Arcane all day when it comes to "video game adaptation" as it stays faithful to the original source material like Ella Purnell said in her Fallout interviews, even the actors had to get exposure to the games to give them inspiration on the characters they act as, before you goobers come at my throat, Arcane is a masterpiece, the details, the visuals and the storytelling is amazing but it doesn't feel like a game adaptation, more of an original series based on a portion of lore from League of Legends.
As someone who has seen both shows and has zero knowledge of the games they were based off of, I thought Fallout was very good, but Arcane was leagues better. (No pun intended)
Fallout is really good, but Arcane is better, Arcane is f*cking phenomenal. I think the only reason fallout won is because it's live action and in the west that has a bigger audience and a greater foundation in the industry compared to animation
its rigged regardless, Arcane won last time it was out and wasnt rewarded again. critics also shafted black myth despite the numbers cause of the backlash critiques got.
Fallout wasn't all that imo. Don't get me wrong it was good. I liked the direction, the humour and music but as a whole it was a solid 7-8/10 show. The metrics and reviews don't particularly show anything extraordinary either. Arcane s2 had its fair share of problems for sure, but i feel like it was still at least an 8. Defiantly was the stronger season of television compared to fallout for me. But oh well
Arcane didnt win cuz s2 ruined what was basically perfect and fallout didnt have that so it was pretty obvious if it was just s1 arcane the shit wins hands down
Arcane is peak, but I wouldn't call it an adaptation of league of legends. It's better in every way. Fallout though is a great ADAPTATION but I still prefer arcane
Tbh, Arcane is a masterpiece but not a true adaptation to lol lore. It's basically writing the lol lore anew. Fallout on the other hand, is quite close to the original lore.
Wish people would stop glazing the fallout show, that garbage fire was absolutely fucking horrendous, even with the rushed nature of s2 it was still in a entirely different…league then the fallout show. It’s literally as bad as the halo show yet for some reason it gets praised, I swear people were drinking or high when they watched this shiw
Fallout is only ok imo, i watched few ep but stop. The adaptation however i can not say anything good about FO since its a bit on genetic side, like not much innovation so definitely a rob. Unless of couse if it about arcane being released too late then it would make more sense.
@tman0131 Very rushed ending. Characters are killed off in a very contrived manor. Very poor closure in general. It really felt like they significantly overplayed the scale, and they didn't know how to land the plane.

I don't understand duality here If ppl call frerien masterpiece in ( 26 ep) he is like it's too early And now he calls Arcane S1 with 12 ep masterpiece Also ppl who said frerien is masterpiece with 1 ep what do you smoke 😂
he said people that said frieren is a masterpiece after episode 1 are giving it the title too early, not to mention arcane episodes are twice the length bruh. Actually reaching lmao
Because with frieren season 1 they didn’t have any real finality in its conclusion. It’s very much the middle or maybe the start of the journey and therefore is hard to judge as a whole without that conclusion. But with only the 9 episodes in arcane season 1 they conclude the main emotional conflict of the season, being weather or not powder was going to be powder or jinx. It feels like a complete package that could have ended at s1 while frieren you need whatever is gonna happen in later seasons to judge how good s1 is. Idk if I phrased that well but that’s what I think
what is even this debate lmao 😂, take things as they are, for what they are. If that single season is a masterpiece than so be it, if something takes time to get good then whatever it can get good when it gets good. what a waste of time discussion
The difference is that Frieren takes a lot of time with slower worldbuilding while Arcane has 40-minute episodes where each minute is maximized to develop the plot. By the end of either season, Arcane has a much more complete and cohesive storyline than Frieren. This isn't even exclusive to Arcane. Lots of 1-cour anime like Edgerunners are jam-packed with stuff going so that the plot is more finished within 12 episodes. Frieren aims for a much grander storyline where 28 episodes doesn't even scratch the surface of the full plot.
Did it tho? Imo all the episodes up till like ep 7 was really good, a few of them being excellent even. The final two were the only ones that left a lot to be desired

Fallout was pretty good, but even with the pacing in S2 I think for it's execution and the overall storytelling it should've still won... Again! This is only my opinion!
Sometimes the wins feel really biased due to stuff like this won already or it has a big presence already. Anyway Arcane is a masterpiece
After all, when people recommend Arcane, their first sentence is usually "You should give Arcane a chance, it's not at all like the game"
he prob saw it after this but league got a dub sweeping the esports category faker, t1 & league winning. so its a 3/4
T1... 🙄
This shocked me immensely. Like fallout was good but Arcane was fantastic. Then knuckles was also really good. I didnt think Fallout was coming close but it won somehow.
Wait he said arcane season 2 has weaker animation than season 1?
seems to be the general consensus
@@lloydlim1055 That isn't the general consensus...
The project has a worse production value than season 1 but I disagree with it being worse. To me it’s so clear that everyone involved at every stage has refined their craft in such a crazy amount, giving a better product.
@@lloydlim1055 not a single person has said that, so no it isnt.
@@zap7737 well clearly you havent been lookimg, that opinion exist.
Being live action probably a big point too
Arcane win S1 so...
And deservedly so, in my mind. S2 was a hot mess, even without comparing it to S1
@@turtleturb3752 honestly fallout and arcane S2 are bad but people are not ready to hear that. People will clown on Halo and Witcher yet say Fallout is a masterpiece it literally comes down to Fallout and Arcane being superficially more pleasing because of the animation or having better actors. If Halo still had masterchief was still a r3tard but when he removed the helmet it was like walton goggins or karl urban instead of whatever boring no name they have now people would be saying it's the best show of the year.
@@moe5020huuuuh ? Arcane s2 is « bad » ? Did you smoke opium ? What ? It was « worst » that’s s1, but it’s better than almost all other shows. What is this stupid opinion
@@moe5020 crazy ragebait lmao
@@xxjazzzminexx I'm sorry you had to hear it you weren't ready for the truth.
Fallout did a great job since for the most part didn't ruin any of the lore from the games. Probably the best live action game adaptation
The think about fallout is that everything feels right, even when the dialogue feel quirky it only because thats the kind of dialogue for it.its a strong solid series
I honestly dont think s2 deserved an award. s1 for sure, but s2 messed up all the writing in so many places.
Its still peak, but fallout was through and through good, why give two awards to the exact same series after they kinda uncook some of their first season cooking when you got new chef cooking a separate series that is also peak?
in terms of best adaptation fall out deserve the W
If this how good Fallout is, maybe it will blow my mind the same way as Arcane did, especially when I was never familiar with LoL lore.
The great thing about Fallout so far is the cinematography. Beautiful, stunning and humongous.
fallout was so goood too though
- Arcane already won in S1
- keyword: video game ADAPTATION
- Arcane didn't adapt League, it adapted the fking lore champions wiki. Real league players know Arcane is NOTHING like League. Fallout however captures the atmosphere of the games making it feel like you're actually playing the games
Well if that's the criteria then arcane doesn't deserve to win in S1.
then cyberpunk edgerunners shoulda won last year.
Honestly its really a good year for league
Cap.. We got robbed.. WHAT?!?!!?
no you didnt
The fallout is more of a adaption than arcane imo. Arcane is way more orginal content than fallout
short answer: It's live action and arcane won last time
And that's why you don't hold ceremonies like this in freaking December, so things that came out later in the year have a chance of winning.
The people voting for fallout were very Joey pilled
It was obvious. Arcane S2 came out around the voting phase. Not everyone got to watch it yet, even I watched 2 weeks after it released because of busy schedule. But who cares? I bet it will still get more Annie and Oscar awards than Fallout.
Fallout was a great show. Arcane was fucking CINEMA.
Fallout was good and you can argue that it was a more faithful adaptation, but arcane is on a whole other level. 10 years from now, people will still be talking and thinking about this show.
Fallout is definitely better than Arcane s2. The writing for the final season was genuinely atrocious compared to its first season.
Arcane S2 was not weaker till ep 7, they just did too much in 2 ep while they could have done a s3 in those last 3 episodes and it would have stayed a masterpiece from 1st season to the last.
Fallout was a 7/10 at best
Fallout has more mass appeal. Plenty of people still refuse to engage with animated shows.
Disappointed Arcane did not win... The raw emotions you felt for each character were too mind-blowing, and the music - just everything - was so fantastically futuristic and amazingly top of the charts stuff. We are definitely watching Arcane again 1st and 2nd season in the holiday season :D Arcane You Are Winners To Your Biggest Fans 🏆
my girl win thats mather❤❤❤
Both were great but I think fallout definitely got more casual watchers than arcane.
like how everyone is saying fallout won because its a better adaptation of the game.... then cyberpunk edgerunners shoulda won against it, it was a better adaptation of the game then Arcane season 1.
and u know what, a lot of people would have been okey with it, it was up there with arcane, cant say the same about fallout.
Arcane way better than fallout.
but win is a win for my girl
Make sense if we talk about adaptation arcane is a better story but a worse adaptation
Sweeping in esports is enough league tbh 🎉
Same
Personally, Fallout feels more like a game adaptation than Arcane, "best adaptation" doesn't mean best writing or visuals, pretty sure they have their own category.
Biggest L ever. Arcane is insane they are just disrespecting it
your comment is dumb and you should feel dumb for commenting it
Nah arcane is disrespecting League of Legends
Nah. Fallout > arcane
Arcane season 2 just wasn't as good as season 1. Definitely think Fallout was better if we're only going off season 2 of Arcane
As someone who has seen both shows and has zero knowledge of the games they were based off of, I thought Fallout was very good, but Arcane was leagues better. (No pun intended)
Wow i learned that fallout might be good. Who knew
Fallout is really good, but Arcane is better, Arcane is f*cking phenomenal. I think the only reason fallout won is because it's live action and in the west that has a bigger audience and a greater foundation in the industry compared to animation
I was so happy XD just cause it's league
I think this is fine and we’re overreacting too much to it
its rigged regardless, Arcane won last time it was out and wasnt rewarded again. critics also shafted black myth despite the numbers cause of the backlash critiques got.
But oh well
I play league so I already lost at life
Arcane didnt win cuz s2 ruined what was basically perfect and fallout didnt have that so it was pretty obvious if it was just s1 arcane the shit wins hands down
Arcane is peak, but I wouldn't call it an adaptation of league of legends. It's better in every way. Fallout though is a great ADAPTATION but I still prefer arcane
At least Jinx win something 😭
Tbh, Arcane is a masterpiece but not a true adaptation to lol lore. It's basically writing the lol lore anew. Fallout on the other hand, is quite close to the original lore.
Season 2 was not at all weaker
Edgerunners is not an anime
Edgerunners is a Hiroyuki imaishi-line trigger project. You literally can’t get more ‘anime’ than that
Wish people would stop glazing the fallout show, that garbage fire was absolutely fucking horrendous, even with the rushed nature of s2 it was still in a entirely different…league then the fallout show.
It’s literally as bad as the halo show yet for some reason it gets praised, I swear people were drinking or high when they watched this shiw
I mean Fallout was good, but it was no Arcane.
Fallout is only ok imo, i watched few ep but stop.
The adaptation however i can not say anything good about FO since its a bit on genetic side, like not much innovation so definitely a rob. Unless of couse if it about arcane being released too late then it would make more sense.
Arcane is a great show, but an okay adaptation. Fallout is a great show and a great adaptation.
Fallout is a good show but not great arcane even with its flaws is phenomenal.
@Pelican07.23 incorrect.
I still think arcane s2 was a masterpiece. Just not as good as s1. The ending was amazing. Sad, but amazing.
Couldn't watch Fallout past 2 episodes - not for me (felt like it was more for the Fallout fans), though season 2 of Arcane was weaker than the first.
Arcane had to win it doesn't make sense I'm sorry
fallout was good, it was just nowhere near arcane in terms everything, so am genuinely surprised
Fallout was more satisfying than *S2* Arcane. S1 Arcane clears easily, but we aren't talking about S1
This was disgusting ngl
The ending fucked the show
I thought it was fitting (I mean Ekko was a little too OP but he also the boy savior). Why did u think it ruined the show?
@@tman0131 giga rushed development, they frickin offscreened Jinx and Ekko talk for what?
@tman0131 Very rushed ending. Characters are killed off in a very contrived manor. Very poor closure in general. It really felt like they significantly overplayed the scale, and they didn't know how to land the plane.
I liked Arcane S2 a lot but Fallout deserved it.
🤡
@@blackhole5803🤏
I agree. Arcane needed an extra episode for season 2 for me personally
@@blackhole5803👍
I have over 300 hours in fallout games and the show doesn't deserve sht, it's above average, Arcane is on another league
I guess there still a stigma against animation
Aracane season 1 won when it came out and won so many other awards. 9 Emmys i think?
Yea there def still is…wait a few years until the next gen takes over and I wouldn’t be surprised if each category had an anime on there
Season 2 is not as good as season 1
lol
No, season 1 won an award and it deserved it. Season 2 was still good, but not THAT good. Fallout was the best choice
Not at all, season 2 was mid, fallout was way better overall
I mean league eated all the award in esport category
Metaphor and arcane robbed
Also gatcha game get rekt by Baltro wich is funny and deserve or not depend of personal preference.
Also I like black myth wukong but weird that they were nominated for best Voice acting.
An L for Grant is a W for the world.
NGL fallout deserved
To anyone angry about Arcane not winning. Watch Fallout and you gonna understand why it won
I did, I really enjoyed fallout but not more than arcane… not even close
fallout is great but arcane s just the most popular animated TV show right now for a reason.
@@jordanprater7233 And to me, Edgerunners is better then arcane. I atleast remember the Edgerunners story. Arcane story was mid at best. Animation and Sountrack was good though.
@ceshmate1953 you said at least to me, as if it was a fact. This is on you. If you prefer one story over another, that's fine but there's no reason to downplay arcane's story. Both story had their strengths and weaknesses.
@@ceshmate1953edge runner second half kinda fell off tbh but that's just a classic on most shows made by the studio trigger like kill la kill and darling in the franxx
arcane season 2 was much much worse than 1st season. episode 8 and 9 where disappointing.
bruh league won like three (best esports, best player, best esports org)
I genuinely thought the fallout show was trash so it winning stung but Ella Purnell is the real winner
Yeah it was pretty mid
I love arcane but season 1 was better than season 2 and fallout was a special show seriously do yourself a favor and go watch it
Fallout was more consistent and paced better as adaptation to the Fallout games😮 when comparing it to season 2 of Arcane
While Arcane had to retcon it's game's lore and needed more time to cook and complete it's arcs and to be honest, arcane season 2 needed an Act 4 at LEAST , as much I love Arcane, after the Honeymoon phase i can see flaws now
It had to be said, so Arcane Losing was not out of the blue, but tbf Arcane has the best animations I had seen for Western Studios, Fortiche made masterful work I can give em that
If i wete to rate the Shows
Arcane season 1 is a 9.4
Fallout a 9.0
While Arcane Season 2 a 8.8 or 8.9
Arcane even at its worse still has better writing than fallout.
I don't understand duality here
If ppl call frerien masterpiece in ( 26 ep) he is like it's too early
And now he calls Arcane S1 with 12 ep masterpiece
Also ppl who said frerien is masterpiece with 1 ep what do you smoke 😂
he said people that said frieren is a masterpiece after episode 1 are giving it the title too early, not to mention arcane episodes are twice the length bruh.
Frieren aims for a much grander storyline where 28 episodes doesn't even scratch the surface of the full plot.
ongoing vs finished what do you smoke
To be fair, Fallout was amazing all the way through. Arcane fell off after the midway point.
Did it tho? Imo all the episodes up till like ep 7 was really good, a few of them being excellent even. The final two were the only ones that left a lot to be desired
Silco alone clears the fallout cast
this was for arcane S2 ie the bad season with no silco and MCU jinx
