It’s always fun to watch multiple review of the same kit because Mecha Gaikotsu spent most of the review emphasizing just how loose this kit is. That’s usually a huge issue for me as someone who like to photograph their kits.
God I need to get new core Gundams. I lost my earthree and Jupitive in a fire in 2021 and I only have a few pieces of them. Like I have my earthree's head and the core Gundam legs and my Jupitive core Gundam body. I have just enough to give my strike fake Nu legs, I got the Fake Nu armor in anticipation for being able to get my core Gundams after the fire but I only managed to get bits and pieces.
@@mj2005gundam i don't have the money sadly, i don't have a stable income yet because the first time i tried a job i quit after my first day because of overwhelming anxiety. I had a feeling they're gonna a plutnine gundam now technically doesn't really count but would be cool if core gundam has sun and moon armor down the road
Honestly, it still is a bit of a shame we never got a Master Grade of the Core Gundam... even though it probably wouldn't have made too much sense, think of how much could have been done with a larger kit budget, and the larger 1/100 scale.
Man I was really hoping this kit would have more extra pieces it's one of my favorite things about to build a series of kits Ps. Thanks for always showing the extra pieces it's been very helpful for scratch builds
I think that's the best way to describe a good chunk of the core gundam related stuff and that's basically what would happen if Iron Man had gundam's and now I'm imagining Tony Stark if he built model kit gundam's......Oh no lol. Overall this looks really cool and I dig the Scythe but man is it a part bomb explosion since the bottom half is so loose and not tight at all. Good review regardless!
Mechagaikatsu did complain how it's hard to showcase this between a white and black background cuz of the colors He showcased it in black background, now you show it in white. I can see how it's really a problem
It looks almost like the Head modification was based on Rize's Core Gundam design which is very interesting since Rize's design was based on the Core 2's performance during the finale. I'd have loved it if Hiroto had kind of looked at some of the aspect of the ALUS Core since it looked more streamlined.
Man I was looking forward to completing the core Gundam set because I have one-eight but after at the reviews for this one I'm honestly disappointed at how hand grenady they made it, lucky I have some extra Core kits cause of trying to get all of the armors to pose together on a shelf but I'm on the fence if i should get this one or skip it 🤔
Well, the major discretion is the structural integrity, which I fixed with a simple top coat and ball joint swap. If you know full well what major flaws you're getting into and still wanna go ahead and pick it up, then go right ahead, as it does look so nice, especially after touching it up
in case anyone cares. it seems like plutines are all loose because of bad polycaps. swapped the included polycaps with some backups i had and it tightened up nicely. so at least it wasn't the molds
Superglue or matte topcoat on the joints. That's the best bet. That being said, I do plan on getting that DSPAIE joint tightening marker and seeing what it's like someday
I’m only getting this to put on my core gundam 1 and it would be better if they use the torso from the core gundam 1 instead of making a new one for stability
I gotta say tbh my headcanon plutine gundam had giant extended limbs arche style to get a massive mobile armor form like the astray power loader but skinnier and with a giant halberd Close enough here 1:40
So in your head canon, it's the irony of the dwarf being the largest one, dialed up to 11. And the purple and greens on the kit are far off from the line art, I wouldn't say that's close enough
If you have to choose, don't get this one unless you intend to fix up its stability issues. Otherwise, it depends on what you want. If you want a standard Gundam, get the Earthree; or if you want standard with a bit of animalistic character, get the Anima[Rize].
I'm so glad you're among the few that actually noticed and pointed it out. I just had to, as it was a callback to my HG Plutone review, back in my old format days
Funny thing is, I swapped some leftover PC ball joints from my IBO kits on, and that fixed it right up. The others are fixed up with some topcoat, but honestly, to hell with Bandai's PC ball joints.

He's got a skill issues to treating some kits. Many beginner could fix that issues
I kinda don't like watching his videos on Core gundam because all he does is complain

I saw his review too but with this one I’m getting my plutine right away (just I need to finish 2 kits on my list)

The most I think they could do with that to one-up the HG is more detail and actual extendo fists
That Plutone vs Plutine shot is a slick one.
